I was a great admirer of Mirella Freni, she was more than an opera singer wirh a great voice, she could act too, she really interpreted her roles, she becamecthe character she was singing. I particularly loved her as Susanna in the Marriage of Figaro. I was so sorry to hear she died so young. May she rest in peace.

Un tenore senza tecnica non canta così ad eta' inoltrata con un volume inoltre il triplo di quello della Ricciarelli che sulla nota conclusiva acuta copre abbondantemente.

I gave it a Like because Ricciarelli has one of the most pure and glistening soprano voices to ever grace an opera stage and beyond. But, as an American, having basically grown up hearing this sung in many venues by many American singers, a lot of them black, I'm accustomed to hearing it in the mezzo and spinto mezzo range. I'm not sure this was suited to her voice, but she gave it an ephemeral, almost a zephyr carriage. Brava.

This is a revelation! Absolutely blown away by this version. Kollo is amazing … never thought he sang the verismo Italian repertoire but stuck to the heldentenor repertory … totally different here … almost flawless Italian diction and a wonderfully warm timbre and style! Bravo maestro!!

Wonderful to see these two great artists together in their Autumn years so clearly enjoying themselves for our delight. Thanks so much for tye upload ❤❤❤❤❤

Check out her full ROSSINI Recital disc where the sound is pefect...... Miss Podles will astound you. She is a true and remarkable CONTRALTO. On the recital disc she does so many very great pieces for Mezzo. You will be amazed at her range going from one aria to the next. I obviously missed that she passed which saddens me. She was such a great singer and deserved even more fame than she accorded. That voce is unbelievable going through several octaves. Rrst in Peace, dear Ewa. I miss You, We all miss you.

He was a completely underated singer by record companies. 😢This never gave him the celebrity he deserved. I think he is superior inmany ways to Corelli. His singing live of Alvaro's very difficult scena is wonderfullý accomplished. As good as any singer in mý opinion.
