Just picked up a 2008 1825 Explorer SS dual console with a 115 Optimax and I couldn’t be happier with this boat. I am bummed they stopped making the Explorer. I might keep this boat forever and pay Lund to restore it in 20 years to get another 50 out of it 😂

I'm late to this video (my comment)... Every coil I've ever tested where there is a spinning magnet, produces AC voltage. your meter is set to DC voltage. If your manual says set to DC, you did fine. I didn't see that in the manual when you posted the picture.

Why have you not switched to lithium batteries for your trolling motor.

I'm looking at Lund and Tracker boats. I like the Lund build better but the Marina sales of Lund are misleading and overpricing seems to be a tactic. The Tracker sales are straight forward and they include trolling motors and many other features at a 20% lower price. I would like some advice on these 18 foot deep V aluminum boats?

mine blew up and it was worse than the kdp falling out ! best way to rebuild is put the new style pump in cause when that bearing goes it goes

Replace the carb. Step 1 of 1: remove it with no instruction.....

Water pump is definitely weak and needs replaced.

Nothing sounds like a Evinrude two stroke sounds so good

Hey Neighbor! I'm from Bastrop too. I live on Lake Whitney now. I have an 89 Evinrude XP 150 2 Smokes. I bought it off craigslist about 5 years ago. I resealed the lower unit and replaced the voltage regulator and stator. That engine is so great. It mounted on a huge pontoon boat and it has plenty of power to pull skiers. I've gone through over time and replaced all the electronics and wiring. Now I'm working on restoring the cowling. Those old Johnson Evinrudes are the best.

I have a 1989 Johnson GT 150 on an ‘89 Basscat. It was in storage for 21 years. New plugs, wires, filter and a carb rebuild and she runs like a top. Hits 60MPH and looks brand new. I freakin love it and yours looks exactly the same- same color too. Have a blast!

My linkages clip broke 2 times on p pump the good ol zip tie clip method saved the day

I just fixed my outboard after getting it back from service. The mechanic put a zip tie on the return line from the fuel rail. It was spraying fuel all over. It would not run correctly until I put a hose clamp on. No more problems after that. I would strongly suggest not using zip ties on fuel lines.

I think your jumper wire is to thin and to long.
