Hi, I just did Lofoten this August and I did Bodø to Vaeroy, and then Vaeroy to Moskenes and I still got charged for both legs when I checked the tolls for my rental vehicle. Vaeroy is totally worth the trip and hike up Håen though!

How will it be to visit around 5th March ? Will we experience frequent storms during that time ?

Do you need a credit card? Or will debit card be fine?

Hi! Not sure if you’ll see this comment anytime soon but i need help regarding the car rental. I read on the rental t&c about cross-border/boundary rules whereby i may need to inform the car company about bringing my rental car on ferry/boats. Does it effect my insurance for the? Do i have to pay extra to the rental company or something? 😅

If you take a car inside the ferry do you only pay for the car ? Because on the website i just get to add the passengers

I am REALLY interested in the BEST recommended long/big/moderate-hard hikes including at Vaeroy, Reine, and between Moskenes and Svolvaer. What areas would you suggest I focus my limited days? You didn't mention the easiest way in my opinion: renting a car in Tromso. That's what I'm doing in June

We went to Lofoten for two weeks in July 2023, and were aware the roads would be busy, but they weren't as bad as we'd expected. The weather was fabulous, with beautiful clear skies, and the roadside verges were full of wildflowers. It hadn't occurred to us that, because the sun doesn't set, the earth doesn't get a chance to cool down, so it was warm at night as well as light. The midnight sun didn't bother us, even with curtains open. And it was so warm we ran out of short-sleeved tops.

Hi can I ask if end Nov to early Dec is a good time to visit for northern lights in Tromso and Lofoten and is there plenty of snow? Or Feb is better? Hello We are reaching Bodo by flight, in march 1st week. And then taking ferry to Moskenes Stay there for 2 days And then will take bus to tromso Although I can see ferry and bus schedule for march, but is it feasible to do this route ? considering weather And is public transport smooth during this time?

I love Norway and like your very informative videos but your percentage savings are completely wrong as they cannot exceed 100%. If a rental car costs €472 and one from Getaround costs €46 then it is 46/472 or 9.7% of the original price, thus you save 90.3% of the original price or (1-46/472 )×100. Conversely, the rental car is 472/46 = 10.3 times or (10.3-1) x100 = 930% greater than Getaround. Regards Rik.
