I too, was a wired mouse purist from the quake days. The Logitech G Pro wireless is the first wireless mouse i was truly impressed by. I've been using the same g pro for years now! No more mouse bungee, no more cat grabbing my whipping mouse cable, etc.

I really wish I could delink area a and base Tarkov, I enjoyed Arena on its own but I don’t want to gain anything from it in base game so now I just can’t play it

40:00 - Ref level 3 is OP You gain easy access to the best class 5 (the CPC) with side plates included you also gain Access to M80 for cheap And this is at level 25 it would SEEM like getting red rep would make getting this high of a trader level a barrier / an issue But … ironically on the back end of the speed leveling via arena discussion … You would expect those players to suffer from having less rep with the traders despite them leveling faster and having a bunch of cash … the opposite.., ref is the trader they level the fastest and he has way better stuff way earlier and again- ironically this makes arena even more OP because only eft players that also play arena level rep much to this level by abusing arena exp and ignoring main questing / using the flea as their source of most items Safe to say red 4 (altyn, zhuk 6, Spear) is even worse No balancing on ref at all lol

I really didn't like ARENA until this wipe. The new custom loadout system seems really simple, but it adds a lot to the game. Leveling up weapons and unlocking new attachments is really fun. Also @Gigabeef looting bodies is disabled in Last Hero.

There's a disconnect in the sense that the Venn Diagram of Tarkovskis that say 'I want the early game extended and enjoy the start of wipe' overlaps more than it should with the players that speed run their way out of the early game and through the midgame, as they try to get the various unlocks done and out of the way within the first week or two. Running an efficient game strategy makes sense for Dave the Welder, for a streamer putting in dozens of hours per week, it 's maybe more the desire for clicks but that's probably also more autopilot (it's what we've always done..) than why -most- many subs are present, drop-ins can be different but many subs have seen effectively the same guide vids each wipe, those are nice extras but they are a side dish. It [rushing] just shrinks the time they have content provided on a plate for them by the game and forces them to come up with their own (more disconnected from that the majority of players are doing..), because they speed ran passed what was there as efficiently as they could- it's like Pest doing 5 different tasks in one raid, getting 15 scav kills and wiping the lobby - that's 5+ hours of potential content that he's shrunk into a single raid in the rush to get it done (and be one of the first etc.). I'm probably just weird but when I'm level 5, 15 or 25, (27 and 29 atm) I'm not watching level 40s bounce around Labs, I'm watching those who are doing tasks in and around where I am or suffering from the same ammo supply issues that I am, to see their solutions and ideas. If I'm doing a hardcore playthrough, that's what I'll likely be watching - so having the majority of streamers run off into the distance just means I often end up only really watching their 'special runs' rather than regular streams or referring to their YT vids as an extension of the wiki - but unlikely to watch more that the 2 minutes that's relevant to what I'm looking for. Don't imagine many that need the help because they're on their first wipe or three, are watching videos of people 30-40 levels above them, as such. Again, accept I'm probably not "the normal player" but can't be alone either. well... eh

Ref giving relatively early access to class 5 armor is more crucial than ever due to how bullshit plate hitboxes are right now. Every wipe has had a way to get consistent access to class 5, last wipe it was plate alchemy and before that you had prapor LL3 korund barter. If armor is going to be as strong as it is, there NEEDS to be some mid game access to it to level the playing field, or else anyone below 42 is basically a scav. Mid game progression is in the worst spot it’s ever been, aside from flea and ref there is nothing but garbage until LL4.

I subscribed to one streamer, claimed my streamer box, but it's not there in my profile to claim it, I opened a ticket to bsg, and I got the standard response on how to claim a twitch drop... annoying

I did lose trader rep because of the sync errors. It was like it rolled back to a few hours previously, not completely down to zero. It was annoying, but overall not a huge deal to my gameplay.

I wish BSG had just copied my implementation of mounting, because frankly their attempt is awful and embarrassing coming from a fairly large and experienced studio. The way I implemented it, I more or less raycast out form three different points on the gun to detect if the gun is near enough to cover, and then it simply just locks the position of the gun and translates mouse movement to rotating the gun around a fixed point. You can reload and perform other actions while mounted without interrupting. It does not move you at all like BSG's implementation, you simply mount where you currently are. It works well enough just about anywhere, so long as BSG didn't mess up the asset/terrain geometry. With BSGs implementation it seems to only work on the corners of colliders or very flat surfaces, it feels as if there are limited points on a piece of terrain/map asset that allow mounting. It snaps you over to that position, and it feels like most of the time you'll end up facing a direction you didn't mean to and then your arc is very limited. If you reload, it cancels the mounting. Your arm stamina still drains while aiming. Overall it feels terrible and because of the jank it has limited utility. I know I've said in the past it's not always fair to compare modders to BSG, but I think in this case it is. They have the tools and full time employees to get features like this right. I'm just some self-taught shitter with no official tools, no access to source code, unable to open the game up in Unity editor, and have to interpret compiler mangled decompiled code and use reflection to make plugins. Yet I was able to implement the feature competently while BSG passed off a half-assed mess that they could not have possibly tested thoroughly. As of late it feels like a lot of the new features are half-assed and it worries me what sort of state the 1.0 release will be.

That g36 in the thumbnail is basically the exact build I've been running, just with a different optic. I can say the bipod has come in handy more than a few times, That thing can be a game changer if you remember to use it.

Ranking up traders is not really worth it like it was before

Limiting everything to found in raid makes the game more of an RNG shooter rather than what it is today. Traders set a clear progression route with an underlying basis for each loyalty level. For example, you cannot buy bullets that pierce class 3 armor in LL2. It’s perfect the way it currently is and changing it will ultimately lead to the game’s demise. I should be able to purchase the minimum requirement of class 5 armor and 40 pen ammo at max traders so that the game functions the way it’s supposed to as seen in arena. If everything is FIR, this widens the gap between the hardcore and regular players. By allowing players more freedoms to make money it eliminates things like gear fear and makes the game more enjoyable. Just look at the mass exodus to pve in its current state. Nobody is going to grind a game just to mainly play as a scav with poor gear until they get lucky enough to find the right gear just to instantly head eyes.

Yes you hold 'G' now and scroll wheel to select whatever grenade u want similar to healing. The hot bar up top just shows you which grenade is going to be thrown if you hit 'G'.. Very nice QoL addition!

I get ripped up anytime I say this game needs to be harder. Trader flipping should not exist just because some niche community enjoys doing that all day to see money go up. You should have to GO INTO RAID to get anything.

Finished my setup quest and now I'm getting burnt on questing I wanted to get light keeper then kappa but this wipe I feel super unmotivated to do any of the quests witch is unusual for me

I’d love to start my account as a standard and not unheard edition. I have no reason to task , I’ve been playing arena and normal tarkov since wipe. Lvl 29 and trying to simulate the grind , but successful raids and maxed traders (besides spending for them) made this wipe lack luster in depth of fun. It’s unfun winning easily after beating the game, it feels like no sport and just a binary game like most 10k hr chads describe it as, I don’t want that out of tarkov.

Stalcraft is a really good game, its a 12 year old Russian game that only came out everywhere else in the past couple years. I played it up into end game on release. I think the map traveling system is really nice although you die and go back quite far sometimes which was an issue with some of the silly ways you can die. The main quest was also quite nice to go through. I dont remember the stalker games campaign at all so if its the same well thats funny.

I have really been enjoying Deadlock, me and my friendw used to play a lot of MNC and SMNC, so we felt right at home in Deadlock.

Hideout is insanely laggy this wipe. I only use armor stands as extra storage. 2 forts that ill save for after kappa and rigs/bags holding items. Presets should just ignore secure container/melee. I believe the exact cultist circle recipes only work once. The rest seems mostly RNG. Flea flipping feels fine, people were doing things from fence day 1, mags and other items. Personal limits is good. I dont normally touch the flea but I do wonder how late game will be, probably people buying out stocks and listing them higher.

I truly think gamers need to get it through their head that if they find a game too easy you can simply set your own challenges. That’s it. Make your own. I do it all the time it makes every game I play so much more fun because I can customize my own specific set of rules that I enjoy.

I don’t like trader flipping so I don’t do it easy fix for me personally

Imo they need to nerf the flea market and traders and make them dynamic. Not a fan of having everything so easily accessible outside of being in raid. Theres nothing exciting about purchasing everything from traders and the flea but much more exciting when you find juicy gear in raid and extract with it. Traders should be there to get you the basics, enough to get you in raid and everything else should be found in raid. Dayz actually makes you work for it when it comes to kitting out your character and you dont see anyone complaining about it being too difficult for casuals. These kinda games werent designed for casual gamers, sorry to say.
