I don't know. This format is pretty much only for those who open a set in bulk, the quality of a given set's format greatly depends on the limited structure of the set and there is pretty much no reason to invest in it, not even as a new player. Like it works as a digital format in like magic online or untap or cockatrice, but why would i play this in paper?

the 3 suspended cards that you mention seem to come from Squeal3r's list on matcherino, which is listed there as the 4th place 3-0 list. Was that actually somehow the 1st place list? Or, all of the the rares and mythics from 3-0 lists suspended? From looking at matcherino, the 1st place deck looks like the UB one.

Wotc: This set is not designed for limited. Team CAT: This set sucks because it doesn't integrate well into our limited-emulating format! Thanks for doing these - not sure if my LGS will let us play them but they're pretty unexciting anyway. Even the black removal spell I'm kinda mid on because the treasure on deadly derision has nice synergies in RB. I'm running a RU tempo deck for tonight at my LGS. I think it's actually really gnarly with a flyer focus. Very aggro with aerialists and spellspears, lots of board clog and convoke with ral's reinforcements and preening champ, and really strong reach with invasion of mercadia, volcanic spite, aerialists, artistic refusal, and dispersal smoothing the draw while keeping the pressure on. With my one MUL slot, Tetsuko seems pretty insane since all my tokens become unblockable, especially off kyren flamewright. And there are multiple good targets for SoOaF as well (with a board-out rare option of seedshark if they have good artifact removal, especially if they bring artifact removal in for game 2 lmao). Other rares in the MB are chandra and zephyr singer. The deck seems like it can play the short and the long game really well, plus it's very strong against removal because practically nothing costs more than the price of removal against it. Might not fare as well with fewer rare/unc slots, but that 2/1 flyer from jump start is a decent replacement for aerialists and the rares aren't super crucial.

37:30 she doesn't have an etb effect and her transformation needs 3 sacs so I was hesitant to put her in main. I had her in sideboard at some point before week 2 but I forget if I removed her by the time of the weekly I'm just operating under the idea that even if I drew her, played her, and she wasn't immediately removed, I still wouldn't be able to transform her at which point she is just a relatively large vigilance body but I'm not sure that's enough. just feel like I'd rather play elspeth, boon-bringer angel, sunfall, or essence of orthodoxy in the rare slots then again I keep going 2-1 so maybe the list needs more focus like ya'll say. I guess it's fortunate I haven't matched up against knights so far

I'm playing at an LGS where we have a very similar format, but 3 rares and 9 uncommons to mirror draft (and no banlist). Any thoughts on which rare and uncommons you'd add - and which commons you'd cut? I'm thinking sheoldred + breach + seedshark for rares, uncommons I'm thinking maybe 2x captive weird and a skyclave aerialist? Really have no idea what to cut, though, the commons are so good I wonder if it's not better to just skip the extra uncommons.

My LGS is doing a very similar format, except it's 3 rares, 9 uncommons, and 3 of each common, and you're only allowed 1 card from MUL. I've been doing pretty well with a WBg Yorion phyrexian list using a bunch of ETB: incubate stuff that can be blinked with Yorion. Other decks I'm most curious to try are WU knights and BR lurrus/kroxa control. I do think Ragavan is being overrated. He might be good if there's a really good red aggro list, but he's generally pretty irrelevant when drawn any turn after turn 1, and there are tons of removal spells that kill him on 2 or blockers that stop him on 2, which means most of the time you need to have him T1 AND be on the play for him to properly take off. I think the number of games where he runs away with it are very few and far between. I'd much much rather have my rare slot have a very high impact card like sunfall personally. Yes I actually watched the whole thing btw. My desire for card reviews is insatiable lol.
