When Paqueta came in 2022 Moyes played him 10 didn’t work out , Brazil played him centrally deeper and moyes implemented that and it worked until he got shifted to the left with Emerson etc. , he clearly looks more comfortable with Soler and co. But where does Soucek go thereafter? Because soucek is not good with ball at feet, I’m guessing it’s either Soucek or Soler, but Paqueta and possibly Soler can be key for our creativity but it’s up to Slopetegui to notice these

It's so tough to assess what job a coach, especially like Loppy, has attributed to a played like AWB. If Loppy didn't want AWB to do it, he would NOT pick him. Imo, Walker is a top, top player. He would NOT be a regular International and City player if he was not that good. U used the discription "" disaster of a defender when on the ball". City is a possession based team with reportedly the best manager in the world.

Everton have been just sraping by for a few seasons. Which must be worrying for their fans. However I think they are grinding out draws and a win is not far away for them. Given how poor WH are at the moment it might be this Saturday against us. I have plenty of worries about the game for us, and, doubt it will be a particularly entertaining match for anyone. My heart still says we're better than Everton. So, I expect we will win; and Lopetegui will be unpacking his stuff in the office. Hope he keeps the boxes handy though.

Grinding out points and draws. We should beat them comfortably, but I don't have any confidence that we can. Wouldn't be at all surprised if we lost. I'm decidedly disappointed in Lopetegui and his can't see him turning things around tbh.

Never like to see a manager sacked, always want to give them a chance. But December's fixtures look very tough. I'm not seeing progress right now, and I'm struggling to see a logic/tactics and game plan. There are lots of halftime reactions, but seemingly no proactive plan. A win on Saturday wouldn't leave me convinced, while it is the last time to make a change and give a fresh face a realistic chance to work with the players during the Int Break. I would have sacked him 5 or 6 games ago, you could see it wasn’t working. He hasn’t delivered a convincing performance all season, so if the board are true to their word he won’t be here after the weekend but we all know it won’t happen. It’s funny how they act tough and decisive when the must win game is a game they know he will probably win. It will be the Moyes pattern all over again, so many games to save his job etc etc but I think Loppy is so inept he will fail to win the game he must and in effect, call their bluff.

I'm not sure I believe the rumour, particularly the specificity of the price. He's ours until at least next June, so let's play him as a number 10 or 8 instead of paqueta (who is far more likely to leave and is currently awful). Summerville on the left, Bown on the Right, Kudus behind/overlapping one or the other of those would be fabulous. Now get Fulkrug back, and when Potter (cheap/free/Sullivan Special) arrives in three weeks, we have a chance of outscoring our porous defence.

I definitely understand not liking Sullivan, but Lopetegui was hired to do a job and he’s doing it very poorly right now. That’s the biggest problem right now, as your game analysis showed again this week. This group of players should be performing much better.
