I used the larger ace bandage they had wrapped my upper leg with 6:05 On hardwood, for knee bending. A used dryer sheet. They slide nicely. Found out the wrong way but I utilized the situation.

I’m 3 weeks out. I’m post Bariatric surgery 2009 so I can’t take anti-inflammatories. It is still swollen and feels tight. Any recommendations? What have other bariatrics done?

Done it sooner.. get a good DR. Move move. Recovery 1 year . In hospital 6 am at home by 12 new knee. Freedom now

Hello Dr. Smith ….your channel is the most comprehensive and informative as to all things related to TKR ! I’m only 3 weeks post surgery and the most bothersome symptom I have is a burning sensation at the incision. Both the Dr. and PT’s have indicated everything looks good from their vantage point …no infection and fairly good mobility, I don’t see this symptom identified by any comments on this string so I’m curious as to your feedback. Thanks and keep up the great work !

My knee is still swollen at 8 months post surgery, of course not as bad as it was. But when can I expect the swelling to go away?

6, Weeks in I still have knee pain can not sleep only on sleeping pills but during the day so much pain what is the solution for this?

At 4 months and the IT band syndrome and ankle discomfort is bad. A lot of stiffness and discomfort. Only bad pain is when in bed trying to get comfortable.

Why are quad exercises important pre-op if they will be damaged?

13 weeks. HUGE HUGE regret!!! My hips. My thighs. My calves. Knees. The pain is the worst. I do my PT religiously.

What are the stretches you refer to?

If it’s normal to have pain/stiffness for up to a year, is it okay to continue with pain medication for extended time…..I need to work full time and it’s very helpful to take 1 5mg oxy each day after work….allows me to do other tasks in the evening, otherwise just need to elevate and ice all evening.

The problem is and everyone has posted about it is you can’t sleep with a straight leg, cause it’s too painful

At week 4 my therapist massaged my knee and without warning pushed hard to bend it and held for 5 seconds 3 times. It was very painfull but she assured me this was needed. At that time i was at 120. Everytime i go in for therapy now they massage and push on it again for 10 seconds 3 times. I am at 130 now. I am very sore at the end of all my sessions but they ice and use a machine to stimulate my knee. I am able to walk out with very little pain. I have 2 more sessions left. My question is should i continue the same routine they had me on ormix it up? Were they corre t with the push bending my knee?

My replacement will be two years this coming June-2025. Still hurts a lot. One doctor I go to, said 15 percent doesn’t receive relief. I guess I am in the 15%.

I’m 8 weeks post op from patellar tendon & quad tendon repair and im stuck at 90 degrees with a stiff knee 😭 any tips ? I’m going to purchase the class next week !

I am 9 months out and my knee is clicking. How do I resolve this?

After 6 1/2 weeks out from TKR surgery I am at 129 degrees of bend. Still have nerve pain and bone pain. I am working hard but I am frustrated I can't improve quicker.

By far, the worst pain after surgery for me, (left TKR), was from the tourniquet. It felt like the jaws of life had my femur clamped.

Who's walking around the grocery 6 days out? I mean, I wasnt even close 6 days out.

My IT band is so tight it's pulling my tib/fib out of alignment from patella also my foot and ankle rotate to left making my walking uncomfortable cause pain behind knee,hamstring and calf

Im 6 months post opp.. My calves are so tight in the morning i can barely walk & its tight through out the day. I dont even feel my knee is at 50%.. Im really feeling discouraged. My other knee needs a tkr Im not sure what the hell to think. Its shot so i dont hav much choice. im starting to worry because I had such high hopes & it just dosent feel as though its getting any better

I had a total knee replacement July 11th, in September I had to have a revision surgery because something came a loose. I have so much scar tissue. I feel so behind in my healing process. Will my range of motion. return. I do out patient therapy.

Thank you for getting me through my first 7 weeks after surgery. The ice machine is delicious. I highly recommend that.

Mam it's been more than a year since my tkr my knee has got to 80 degrees mam it's still painful while goin further folding ..would I get complete knee folding hereafter

My surgeon thinks I have scar tissue on back of knee and can’t increase my extension much. (5 months post op). Will ideal knee help me? Thank you.

Im at 7 week but still cant walk without cane. I didn't know the protocol to elevate the leg.I suffer a lot now will try to sleep as you showed in video. How can sleep on sides Please explaine it also. My bendig knee is 107 and also need extention and now watching your video 6-- 12 weeks. You gave really important information.A lot patients like me sleeping in wrong and painful way.Thanks you are doing amazing job.

My tkr surgery done on 20 December 2024. Now 7 weeks. I didn't know how can elevate my leg.i will watch again and again and try to do so.❤❤❤
