The Monster Walk - A great exercise for runners
The biggest mistake people can make regarding most injuries is to stop moving. If you can, start exploring (mindfully) some movement asap, in the next 24 hours if possible. You don't use it, you lose it. Pain is just information and doesn't have to only be a source of frustration or fear.
A message promoting physical therapy coming FROM a physical therapist? Classic.
Neglecting how footwear impacts foot health, kind of starting off with a joke i see
Whoops.
Why does he look like the deep with blonde hair in the beginning? 😂
Thank you! 💕
How does this help the back pain in? Are we talking lower back middle back upper back. I am not sure what the strengthens back wise?
I believe its strengthening the muscles all around the area of the low to middle back, when the muscles are stronger they support the area a you no longer have pain!
Great question this strengthens your back stabilization muscles to manage the pain.
You got it 🤙🏼
Do we need to be on a firm base or anyplace, like a bed to do the exercise ?
I was afraid this would just trigger my traps - they're always activated- but it didn't. It actually felt REALLY GOOD!
That's what we are hear for 🤙🏼
Dry needling for TrP release doesn't require electrical stimulation. It is just mechanical eradication. Needle fanning is used to clear all the trigger points in taut bands.
Easier for who? I tried them and I can't get up I fall back..😢
I do gorilla squats for literal hours out in my garden. Which is probably why I have hip instability issues. 😅
Yes. too much of one movement causes repititive stress injuries. Thanks for the comment. Sorry to hear about your hip!
Gorilla squat? That's how I took my morning shit everyday.
Stop squatting, do Burpees instead
So the squats are no use if you are targeting hamstrings
That stretch is for hamstring mobility I’m pretty sure
The Answer is Achilles Tendinitis! It can easily be missed because a lot of people think it's plantar fasciitis which is completely different. This is something we can easily resolve with a little PT.
Can this only occur after pregnancy?
No, it can also occur from weightlifting/ab workouts without proper form, obesity, and even surgery.
Hey dude you really need to look at the comments and answer people's questions. Just saying. My chiropractor used that on me for the first time and I thought I was going to go through the ceiling into space it hurts so bad! I have a torn disc.
My chiropractor used dry needling on me for the first time and I have a torn disc and I nearly went through the roof! But she did tell me it would be sore for a couple days but then the pinched nerves sensation would left leg but not the right one as much. I go today for another treatment so we shall see.
I've now had 2 sessions on my back/neck and it is the single best treatment. It's so beneficial and minimally uncomfortable. I reccomend it often!
ive had this done many times both with and without the electrical current it never reduced my pain not to say it wont reduce yours just my experience with it
Does this help restless feet and leg?
How do you know what the problem is?
Can it be used on upper abdomen muscle
That is exactly spot I have pain now. I can’t wait to get it done.
I’ve been told not to roll iliotibial band because it’s tissue connecting muscle and to only roll glutes or hamstrings or quads, not the band but every physio is different even though all university masters degrees teach the same thing 🤷🏽🤷🏽
Very nice and short video.. beautifully explained
I just had my first dry needles. What a difference. I could feel my muscles moving. Been having neck and shoulder pain since 2022. Done PT and saw a chiropractor. An an accident in January so back doing PT and alot of new things. So glad this orthopedic doctor added dry needles. Gotta work those muscles too. Thanks for sharing. More people need to know about this.
Sweet middle age man 🤤
I am also doing DPT tomorrow my exam and I am here
You need to add the rotation on the same side
This is Accupuncture... You should study... Get degree (like BNYS) and practice....
I could almost tell what you were talking about with that stupid ass mask on
Today i tried this and amazing 😍💪
You can think of dry needling as "weak" version of a small portion of acupuncture. May help a little but hardly a replacement for real acupuncture.
Yeezybusta?
Love it - short, sweet, and gets right to the point. Thanks
I love how you put the jumper cables on em.
Nice
Nice
I tried dry needling this week for the first time for herniated discs. It hurt like the dickens with the needles going in and with the needles coming out! However, the next day, I experienced very little back pain!
I have a torn disc and my chiropractor used dry needling on me and I thought I was going to go through the freaking ceiling! It did help someone but I'm going for another treatment today so we shall see.
A friend of mine had both of her lungs punctured in multiple places through this treatment. PLEASE do your research and know exactly who you are going to before getting this treatment
How??? The needle goes in little. Her physio must’ve been trying to kill her or something
The acupuncturist must have been horrible. More anatomy training is necessary
This is acupuncture no dry needling, for your information most of the meridians fall on the muscles, and in this video he explaied it is done to the skin and not to muscle but he said it is for tennis elbow, which is infammation of lateral epicondyle where forearm extensor muscle attaches. Is it skin or muscle then? In acupuncture these two points are called as LI 10 and LI 11. So dry needling is nothing but plain use of acupuncture by Physiotherapists. But they do not want to promote the word acupuncture.
He mentions several times that the needle is in the muscle. He's also using electronic stimulation, which AFAIK is not standard practice in acupuncture.
@@chestnutpuckin acupuncture points are in muscles, and we use electrical stimulators to enhance the result. This is acupuncture. Dry needling is a madeup name.
This is Acupuncture I dont know why you call it dry needling?
This is the batty-man walk
I never heard of this but sure sounds like it's what I need for my sciatica and my SI joint pain and stiffness. Physical therapy is slowly helping, though.
Unfortunately, this will need surgery in the future. This is to stimulate nerve activity in the muscle fibers.
Just to help you i have a back injury that Causes sciatic pain. One i am sorry you have that, it hurts like hell. 2. Try this out i did my first time yesterday and it helps, i was also told to do it three times. But its worth it!! I hope you get better
Hold up just a second ! You know you're going to have to make another video showing that one-handed needle prep 👍
this doctor doesnt like dry needling at all !! th-cam.com/users/shortsz6-tW-FOyr0
