Way too many "Guitar skill that takes time and patience to master but is "taught" as though its actually easy" videos on here. Don't take the shortcuts kids. He gave you a simple explanation but simple isn't synonymous with easy. Its a good trick to get you excited to learn the guitar but try not to forget to LEARN the guitar and not learn to hate and dread practicing. You'll need breaks and time to think, even from things you love.

There was a great interview with him back in the day. He was having marriage problems and staying in a hotel when he got a call to write this song. The only guitar he had at the time was missing 2 strings. So he came up with this tuneing and wrote a song.

For me chorus! I play extreme metal, and having chorus always on with slow rate en shallow depth adds a nice, stereo like richness to my guitar tone.
