@@JosephCrenzo annnnn you are not a car person lol. Sure it’s not as fast as modern stuff but that’s not the point.
@@VisionT7 UMMMM, yes I am a motorhead. I happen to have a 1976 Nova, a 2023 Genesis, a 1990 Vette and a 2024 Harley Fatboy; I know my shit. The Lambo is supposed to be a monster, but these days compared to what they have out there they aren't IT anymore
@@JosephCrenzo I stand corrected. 👌 but again man. Not the point and you are right, def not a “monster” anymore. I’m a Porsche head. The air cooled are sooo slow compared to the new ones but it doesn’t take anything away from the car. Same concept with a split window Vet. Not fast anymore but no less of an icon.

Why did you used to get a 992T as a PDK instead of manual?
I wanted it for my road trips. This way it’s comfy an I won’t be nervous if the wife drives it during our trips. Plus it’s significantly faster.
@@VisionT7sweet! Great to know. Yea, my wife and I both drive stick shift. Looking for a manual GTS but this is awesome to hear your perspective.
@@DesignMonkey2000 hope you get get one. Love a gts
@@VisionT7 you get a SECOND car for road trips. A 911 T is for guys who drive, not guys who preen in front of the local high school. You get a mustang for that. The PDK sold you out. That and the fact you wish you could see the engine. It’s been inaccessible for YEARS now. Admit it, you just want something for “Cars and Coffee”. I bet the first thing you did was try to find how to completely disable traction control, because what’s the point of cars and coffee if you can’t do wild burnouts into a curb when you’re leaving?
@@rigbyowen5153 Hello loser. Welcome to the chat. I see you get off on putting others down for their personal choices. Good for you. “A 911T is for guys who drive.” Like maybe on road trips? 🫤. PDK sold me out as somebody who “preens” is idiotic since the car is faster and meant to increase your performance, hence also improving your driving experience. Oh, and yes I know we can’t see the engine for the last several years, doesn’t mean it’s a good thing there bud. Cars & Coffee is actually pretty fun, but no I take my 1956 F100 to that. And finally, disabling traction control is pretty awesome in all sports cars. Maybe try it in yours and that stick up your ass might just come out. Until then. Enjoy your car, stfu and have a good life. ✌️
The Porsche 911 with a ducktail is my favorite. Whats your favorite car?
FUCKIN BEAUTIFUL
Thx my dude
I don't get it, I want a specific car, I have the money why can I not walk into a dealership and buy even a used car? This absolutely sucks.
They hold all the cards. Limited stock and giving preference to reoccurring customers. Same thing Rolex does.

Is it heavy on gas?
Actually not as bad as you would think. I averaged 21. In town was around 17 an freeway I could hit 27+ depending on speeds
I guess I'm rare cuz all of my GT cars were purchased at MSRP, and spec'd by me. Two of my GT cars came straight from Porsche Motorsport (GT4 RS and 992 GT3 RS). They were both one of only nine in North America that came from Porsche Motorsport. When they come from Porsche Motorsport then they are at MSRP. But, luckily, my 992 GT3 and my Spyder RS were also sold to me at MSRP by my dealer. This is due to my VIP connection and also cuz I had a 992 GT3 Cup car for a race team.

There is one near the lake that looks identical but its blue
Awesome car! Cool options. Nothing wrong with the PDK! My T should be here in July. Ordered mine from North Porsche Houston as well.
Congratulations man! ❤
Omg. Chipped glass. Maybe i should get a regulsr carrera. Does it have the same problem?
Base Carrera has regular glass. The glass on a T is from the RS. So gt3/rs all have this issue. Front glass is regular fyi
Reminds me of my 1st Porsche. I ordered a 944 in guards red in 1984 I was about your age and just as happy! I kept it until 2000 and driving it never got old. I’ve had a Macan, a Cayenne and 2 991s since. Welcome to the family :)
I appreciate your openness. I am beyond exited.
You did you. I’ve had two 911s one bought at Porsche Austin and other at San Antonio; Carrera s and a 4s. The current 4s has rear wheel steering and I can confirm it’s the best valued option you can buy. The nice thing about your T is, you can get an engine map and get the power of a GTS without paying the $45k extra. I suggest doing this only after the warranty expires to avoid any debates with the service department.
I’m waiting on APR tune now. Porsche confirmed it won’t void warranty. I’m all in now lol
so did you get your window issues solved?
I did but it came back. Squeaking like crazy. Need to have rubber replaced.
Fantastic car. Now just needs a Litchfield conversion. PDK is a fabulous gearbox even if it doesn't offer the engagement of a manual.
Much appreciated. Super happy with it
6:59 Hello fellow T owner! My T is coming in July, I also have owned a 991.2 T and loved it. I specc'ed my car in Gentian Blue Metallic with the manual, the bucket seats and the carbon fiber roof as the main differences to yours. I also chose Guards Red accents for the speedometer and the clock, the fire extinguisher and the red seat belts. :-) Just a little info: Even the manual T has the "Drive Mode" button on the steering wheel. Enjoy your T!
lol. Yes I know about that selector. I meant to say that button. Congrats on the car. It’s an epic ride. Truly love it
Lol people are mad because you hate stuff about your car? Yeah hate may be strong for some stuff but it's all valid for you. I trust drove one and I agree the exhaust could use work and that's the first thing I'm doing to the car. Well second after tint and ceramic.
Thx my dude. Hate is a bit much I guess. I love this car
Let the haters hate. Get whatever tf you want! You are buying it not them. You want PDK get it. You want stick get it. Do not like the "you lost me at PDK" clowns bother you. I'm wondering if some ppf or something will help with the chips. Did you say it's just the rear or the front as well that's chip prone? PS the drive select is available on any car with the chrono pack. Manual is just missing the sport response button in the center.
Owned a GT3RS and agree, too much for reality driving. If you are into bragging rights, buy a cup car and be broke. If you want to drive your car, buy a 911T. That said, the dash is higher than previous generations and the car has wider hips that you'd expect for a base 911. Rear camera is excellent, but plenty of power and the modern dash is very up to date (for once). Wish they added carbon fiber over the interior, but it is ok as spec'd by most in base models.
Great review. I just finalized my 911T order last week. I, like you, agonized between manual and PDK but chose PDK in the end. This car will live in SW Florida and normal traffic with a manual is a PITA (literally). My vehicle is due to arrive in early August. I can’t wait! Please continue to provide updates on your journey and I’ll share my thoughts on my 911T adventure as well. Cheers!
Let’s gooooooooo. Congrats man. Fyi. I just requested the APR tune data from APR. They are getting it ready so hopefully down the road it will be available for all us 2024 911 Carrera owners. The prior year tune wouldn’t work. That is if you even care lol. Find me on Instagram @porschtribe. My photographer account is VisionT7 if you want eye candy while you wait lol. Again congrats!!!
Congratulations!! Awesome car. " Drive it like you stole it!"
Which Austin Dealer did you go to....Austin or South Austin?
Both are fine but I refused to go to them or the San Antonio. They want 15-20k markups. North Houston has no markups. They just want first dibs if you sell or trade in. Great experience with them too.
@@VisionT7 did you get an allocation from them and for what 911.
@@gloriariley-schaaf2490 I did. I wanted the 911T without markup (at that time). They were the only one who would not do markup. I believe it’s the same for the GTS as well. If you tune the T for $1500 you get the GTS performances fyi. Don’t void warranty. Just food for thought. If you are serious I can give you a referral. Find me on Instagram to discuss more. @porschetribe
I received my Carrera S allocation in 3 months, by doing a configuration online and visiting the local dealership a few times.
The problems I want in my life haha (no hate)
Haha right. I’m honestly glad to have them
Just retired my 2012 FX4 with 141k miles and took ownership of a 2023 Tremor Avalanche 402a. At my age, it will probably be the last vehicle I will ever buy and wanted something I could truly enjoy, and so far, it's met all my expectations!
You sir have made a great purchase. I loved that truck and miss it all the time. I removed the hood vents and made them true vents. Easy to remove cut an put back on. I found that the heat soak in the turbos kills power in these trucks. Texas got a little too hot for my taste. Cold air intake and open the hood vents helped. I was going to get a better intercooler too. Just a bit of info if you notice loss of power in summer.
There’s no way you can allocation for a 911 GT3 or even RS unless you get 6 to 8 cars a year.
I am looking to getting the dealer tune for my 992 T 2023 manual. It takes the hp to 445 and torque to 460 nm? Anyone do this?
Dealer tune?
Champion Motorsports keeps the warranty
With chipped windshields changing glass a hassle?
Can you order regular glass at added cost?
Nope. The windshield is regular glass. All the rest is the gt3rs glass.
Damn, stop giving the man so much 💩 about the PDK. It’s his decision. Be glad he shares his beautiful 911 here, not that much content about T’s.
lol. Thx man. I love the pdk. First sports car I’ve had with an auto in a long time.
valid points mate (apparently)
got mine from PNH. Mario cajic there is amazing !! onto GT3 next..
He lost me at PDK
Good.
I have a 911 T allocation…I purchased a cayman s and asked for the allocation and got it
Well that’s one way to get it. I love love my T. Hope u do as well
Great little review. I like all the points you made. I reached out to what seemed like an endless number of Porsche dealers over this last month and was able to find one with an available Carrera GTS allocation. I just made my deposit to secure it and I’m so glad I did because it’s crazy hard to find a GTS allocation anywhere. I learned pretty quickly the waitlist thing is a joke.
You lucky dog. Love the gts. Curious if it’s going to be all digital instrument cluster. I like mine now cuz of analog rpm.
@@VisionT7 yes, it’s a 992, so it will be exactly the same dash layout as your T. I really did not want to go down the 992.2 route with the hybridization being added. One thing I’m a little stuck on is whether to go with full bucket seats/rear seat delete or the 4-ways. Obviously the full buckets with rear delete will be lighter, but I don’t know how much. Although I imagine the bigger benefit is the secure hold and more connected feeling with the car. I do have my eye on the club leather in truffle brown with chalk stitching if I go with the 4-ways.
@@RB-xv4si I am sooooo happy with the 18 way seats. So comfortable. But be honest with yourself. Are you tracking it? Does it really matter the weight savings. Pick what you think you will use it for. If it’s not a track car then focus on how you would daily it.
@@VisionT7 I get what you’re saying. It will be a weekend car for me, so I’m more inclined to see it as a toy than something useful to get me to work every day. But I may change my mind. The 4-way sport seats plus would be a nice compromise between lightweight and luxury. Freeze date is May 15th, so there’s a little time.
I’m surprised to hear you say that the lightweight glass lets more noise in the cabin. I believe the configurator identifies it as lightweight/noise insulated glass. Go figure.
Has a coating on it to reduce but still louder
I have purchased ( MSRP) a 911 Carrera Cabriolet , scheduled to arrive here in Naples, FL on 5 July, 2024
Congrats man.
