Making an inventory of all my clothes
Hi everyone!
Today I would like to share with you a new organizing video where I make an inventory of all of my clothes! This has been so helpful for a number of reasons, from realizing just how much I have to helping me actually wear more of my wardrobe that honestly I had forgotten about. Especially with Black Friday and the holidays coming up, I hope this video can be helpful for you if you are looking to reduce how much you consume. Because let's be honest, most of us probably already have more than enough.
*
If you want to create an inventory of your own, check out this video by Christina Mychas. She has a great style and closet organizing channel. I actually based my spreadsheet off of the one she shares in this video:

Thank you so much for this, will be solo trip to Palermo next year February so needed this, I feel less nervous and anxious now I’ve seen this 😊
I’m glad it was helpful! 😊
im debating waiting until april, i dont really wanna go on vacation whenb its cold outside and not a social outdoor happy vibe ya know...but some videos show it being nice in winter? maybe depends on the day?
The weather can definitely change day to day! Whenever you do plan to visit, I would just make sure that your accommodation is well-suited, with heating in the winter or air-conditioning in the summertime 😊
Thank you!
Very good. I need to see this.
Thank You sooooooo much!!!!! From Belgium!
Thank you! I hope it was helpful!
Fond memories of going to chaneys store and cogans and later tom and jerrys! In tennessee now but love to go back and visit
Great memories!
I think it will be a tricky road ahead but I am willing to try. Question: my paternal grandfather was born in USA but went to school in Italy then came back to his hometown with a one way Italian passport. Do you think it would speed things up if I included his 1930 one way passport?
Hi! I’m can’t say for certain of course, but I think it’s best to just stick to the documents that they are requesting, because each document serves a purpose in documenting your line of descent. I don’t think providing any additional documentation would be necessary or helpful. I believe applications are just processed in the order they are received. Plus, any documents you submit with your application will not be returned to you, and that sounds like an precious family memory to hold onto 😊
May I ask what US state you are in? As I know vital record offices charge different amounts. I am starting the process and one certified copy is $30.
I’ve known people who have had to get documents from various U.S. states, and yes it does depend county by county how much they charge. I think $15-30 is a typical range I’ve seen.
Very interesting information...my son has lived abroad in Germany for about 3 yrs and he always votes by mail as well!
Thank you for watching!
Great info! I'm still living in the USA (not able to move to Italy yet!) and I've always voted in person. You *can* take a sample ballot or notes into the voting booth with you. This is super helpful with propositions and down-ballot choices, like judges.
Oh that’s good to know! I always wondered how one could remember all that 😊
More videos like this, please!!
Thank you! They are on the way 🫧💖
My grandfather was born in Italy and was naturalized, however my father was born before he was. So, do I qualify for Italian citizenship?
Who do I sue to get a Court order to get New York state vital records?
How/where can I get U.S. naturalization documents for my ancestors?
We are going for it. Thanks for this amazingly informative video. My great grandparents were italian.
Thank you! I’m glad it was helpful and best of luck with the application process!
This is well informative and super helpful! Thank you ❤️❤️
I’m so glad it could be helpful!
Thank you for this video. I've been working on mine for a few years and some of the process is a bit confusing but you explained everything so clearly, thank you!
Thank you! I hope it helped clarify some things, and best of luck with your application!
It is very important to validate your train ticket in Italy! We forgot to one time and had to pay a steep fine!
Yes! So important to remember!
My dad was born after 1948. His mom was born in Sicily. Is it possible to get Italian citizenship?
After you got your certificate . What is next?
Do we need to wait until after the police visit to apply for the carta d’identità? I have seen conflicting info online, some say it can be done after presenting the documents
I think it all depends on your comune! If it’s been a little while since you submitted your application, you could visit the Ufficio Anagrafe to see if it has been processed yet, and to see if it would be possible to make the appointment for the carta d’identità.
I agree with you when you said that language learning is a journey that never ends. For me, it’s been a struggle at first to learn Vietnamese by myself. But once I started using Immersive Translate that was when I finally made some progress. I use it to watch my shows and movies on Netflix every day, and that’s how I’ve become immersed in the language. It’s been quite a journey so far, and I’m quite pleased with the results.
Because Italy is the most beautiful country in the world!!
Molto Chiara spiegazione ti auguro di imparare al piu presto il linguaggio Italiano in tutte le sue parti !! Fammi sapere dei tuoi sviluppi !!

I am trying to go back to Sicily after my family came from Sciacca. So helpful thanks.
I'm glad it could be helpful! Best of luck :)
I’ve reached a level in French I’m happy with (after many years) and I’m about to start dabbling in Italian. Can vouch for all the unexpected advice you give up to 6:20!
I'm trying to get the Italian citizenship by descent correct. Please some help: My great-grandfather was born in Sicily in 1892 and came to America in 1910. He wasn't naturalized. He married another unnaturalized Italian in 1915 and gave birth to my grandfather in 1918. My grandfather married an Italian descent American and gave birth in 1944 to my mother (an only child). My mother was impregnated by an Italian man but they never married, and his name wasn't put on my birth certificate. Based on this narrative, might I be eligible to be an Italian citizen by descent? Thank you!
I’m based in Scotland uk. We meet requirements. Do we physically have to attend consulate? Would that be London? Thanks love!!!
I am working towards my dual citizenship. My great grandfather was born in America, but not naturalized for some reason. This makes me the third generation... Just hope the consulate accepts that
I’m like 40% or something Italian , would I be able to go there?
you can request the italian citizenship if your italian ancestor emigrated abroad after 1861 (male) or after 1948 (female). Different rules for italian males coming from Trento, Bolzano, Pola, Fiume, Trieste, Gorizia provinces, they must have emigrated abroad after their province became italian.
Yep, this is good advice, well articulated, mirrors my experience moving to Germany..”the norms and expectations” are different, but you can and it can totally wrong foot you for awhile… yes you can try to negotiate some items …good of you to share 😊
How did you get the documents for free from Italy?
Ciao.
I love this video!
Thank you!
Excellent video with the best information. I come to Italy once a year and rent for a month and you've helped me see what it will be like to look for something to rent longterm. I'm subscribing. Grazie! Buongiorno from Cefalu.
Thank you Mary! I'm glad it was helpful! Enjoy Cefalù!
Thank you for sharing your experience on this beautiful religious holiday. I participated in Ramadan for many years. The experience was beyond anything else I ever had from a religious perspective.
Thank you for watching, and for sharing your experience as well! It is truly such an incredible experience, and I have such fond memories from those times.
You are beautiful and ur bissap amazing ❤
Seems the 1912 date may be moot if the Corte de Cassazione's rulings are adopted by the ministry.
Great job and thank you. Would you be interested in being on my podcast to walk viewers through the process? Would love to have you!
I’m really enjoying your content and perspectives from your videos (I’m also a midwesterner who has lived in Italy). Congrats on 500 subs! A suggestion - I found you through the Italian citizenship video, and I think if you made more of those they would get lots of attention! Especially videos that really walk you through the process in detail - how to order birth certificates from Italy, how to request documents from the US, how your embassy appointments went- these are videos that I’ve looked for on TH-cam but not seen much of, because many speak more generally.
Hi! Thank you so much for watching and for your suggestion! I really appreciate your comment because I didn’t necessarily think about going in-depth on those specific processes before, but I agree, I think it could be very helpful for people who are trying to find that information 😊 Thank you!
@@thelemonabroad Np ☺️
Hi there, I recently stumbled across your videos while looking for information on Italian citizenship by descent. Your videos are wonderful and I appreciate them. I love your message in this video! Are all Italians in Italy so kind?
Thank you so much for your kind comment, I really appreciate it. I'm glad you were able to find my videos, and I hope they have been helpful for you! :)
Their club lounge in the airport is awesome!
I can imagine!
I always found this super cringy. My great-grandfather didn't naturalize until far after my mother and I were born. We have all his paper work in the original Italian documents, so I would qualify. I just never understood people wanting to leave their country of birth if they grew up in a first world country.
Ciao

I am thinking of retiring to Italy in the next 5-10 years. Healthcare is one of my priorities on deciding on where to retire. How difficult is it to communicate in the system for someone that will be learning Italian language on the fly? I fear not being able to communicate in medical terminology until I have learned enough Italian. And I don't know how long that will take at my age.
Hi! I totally understand healthcare being a priority, it's definitely something that is for me! In terms of language, personally I do learn new vocabulary every time I visit the doctor, since I also don't use medical terminology in daily life, but I do usually communicate in Italian. Many people speak English here, or at least learned it in school, especially in the younger generations. However, it shouldn't be taken for granted that they will have. But there are many doctors to choose from, and many different options for care as I mentioned in my video, so you can always look around to find the best fit for you. I would suggest doing some research ahead of time, especially if there are specific concerns you have to see the care available. Expat groups on Facebook for different cities/areas can be a good place to get some questions answered about what it's like to live in different localities and access to services there. There are also some websites, for example one is miodottore.it - Without having to sign up or anything, you can use their search engine to look for different specialists by the city they are in, and then use the filter "Lingua parlata" to search for doctors who speak English. I hope that's a helpful start!
@@thelemonabroad thank you. That is very helpful. I will definitely do my research. I am still trying to decide on what city to retire to as well. Fortunately, I have some time before I can retire to decide.
Definitely! And I think it will be easier once you've narrowed down a few places that you like related to other factors, like big city or smaller city or town, climate, region, things to do, etc. Once you have some options, then you can compare the different services available. I do understand wanting to have the peace of mind that if you ever needed something, it would be there. Good luck with everything!
@@thelemonabroad I am trying to find a place that is big enough that it is close to a major airport, but small enough that I don't have to get a car. Not that I am against getting car, but I am trying see if I can do it without a car. Also, affordability on a retired fixed income will also be a consideration. Thanks for the website link. That was very helpful and my MacBook's Safari browser was able to translate the site into English to help me navigate through it. Now on to learning Italian and getting my Italian passport by descent. Thanks for all your help.
