Corroded Jetski Gets A Second Chance After Sitting For 10 Years With Sand In Engine
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This ski was filled with sand, overheated, and then sat for 10 years allowing corrosion to take over all of the internals. I tore the engine apart and spent over a week picking, scraping, and removing all of the corrosion. I was really excited in this video because it is my first time pulling a jetski engine and rebuilding it.
What Happens When You Don't Flush A Jetski?
มุมมอง 1.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
What happens if you run your ski in the ocean, shallow water, brackish water, or in the sand and do not flush it after riding? Corrosion and scale builds up. This jetski was ran in shallow water and then left to sit for 10 years after it had over heated. After diving into this engine I explain and discuss what happens when you neglect your jetski's engine. This will happen on any jetski, seadoo...

I do have a attic and it has some almost standing space. I haven’t looked up there yet but my attic has a wood floor so I don’t know if I’ll be able to find the support beam. I’ll take a look since if I would go through all this trouble, I think I would want to install a new ceiling fan since mine is over 20 years old and the light fixture isn’t working properly. I was considering replacing the light fixture and seeing if I can tighten it up. Mine the case on the ceiling doesn’t wobble but you can move the fan motor back and forth more than one the others in my house. Any ideas how I might be able to fix that? Great video!

I just did mine. I was able to take only the passenger side of the exhaust apart since I recently changed to gasket on that side. I just moved the flywheel cover over enough to get to the nuts, and maneuver it to free the pan. I did the reverse to get it all back on. The worst part of the whole job was lining up the holes with the brackets on the outside of the pan, the pan itself, the gasket, and the block to get the bolts started. I figured the brackets are probably there to give an even pressure across the entire pan. So I couldn't discard it. Once I got that in, the rest was actually quite simple. Chevy's are awesome.

Hello, recently had a small tiny Oil Leak on my 96 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. And got the part to do this exact thing, I have some questions that I would like to ask. I’m a particularly young fellow not familiar with the in and out of mechanics, will this be a hard or difficult job to do? at 5:30 to pull the pan out freely you need to pull out the wiring harness directly under the pan to make it easier. then put it back when you reassemble. also, when taking out the pan bolts, put a rag over the cross member. this is because there's a hole there and if you drop a bolt (like i did) you will have to fish it out.

I keep 6inch wide lengths of thin masonite that are almost four feet long for this purpose. many fridges will ruin floors. Never roll them out without protection. Just line the two boards with the wheels on the front. Also, many fridges will require compressed air because only the front of the coils are accessible. Blowing them out works great. Having a shop vac running, with the hose next to the coils will help to catch a lot of the dust from blowing them out.

@YOSUCUS Dude, I literally did what I stated on my 97 c1500. By removing the air filter box on the passenger side of the engine compartment, you have direct access to the stud for the shock, and enough room for an air impact drill.
