Best film I’ve seen in a long time. What’s the time mr wolf
Great video mate, just a quarter in and really enjoying it...thanks for the time and effort in making a great gem that will help alot of people facing similr problems that a fictional but real to life Jake Heke experienced 🙏💯
Too much weights, not enough speed work.
The generations today think Andrew tate is a tough man
Very interesting. I'd forgotten how good these movies were.
Jake the Muss always in battle mode we need soldiers like him😂
Don't you ever speak to me again ya hear might spoil my night😂Classic
Jake really is a perfect gentleman. Making sure that all of his fellow pub attendees has the possession of a bar stool in which to sit on. What a truly wonderful and considerate bloke he is.
The chaddery the absolute chaddery that is a man
Love your work bro. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dude’s just wanted his autograph and he beats the brakes off em 🤣
Jake the snake. 💪🏼
Haha😂 yee...
Jake Muss should form a political party with Howie Tamati. They would stop the rot & do the right thing by the people.
From One drunken to another
Churr 🤙💯🍻
I’ve just found your channel, and it’s absolutely fascinating. Your analytical skills are superb. I must admit, I’m rather upset at not having acquired the same depth of knowledge or access to the resources you possess. Your scholarly vocabulary and the theoretical foundations in disciplines such as philosophy, psychology, social sciences, and psychiatry are remarkable. I can’t help but wonder what master’s degree(s) you’ve pursued-though of course, you might well be self-taught, which shouldn’t be ruled out. The video truly tickled “my little grey cells.” I tip my hat to you and, naturally, I’ve subscribed.
Addition: I also appreciate how extensively and comprehensively you analyse characters. This will likely spark interest in people of social sciences, psychiatry, and other disciplines from which you derive your analyses.
I appreciate the feedback! I've been neglecting the channel a bit due to IRL stuff, but hoping to put out a retrospective of season 2 in the new year. I've also been working on a project that I hope to launch in the new year that helps people upskill in areas such as psychology, science etc focusing on preparing people that want to pursue a career in those spaces. So in short, hoping provide a lot more value to people in 2025. Though I have a masters in science, specialisation in clinical psych, I put a lot more weight on lived experience. I hope you stick around to see what I have been cooking up for the last year 💯 happy holidays and thanks again!
Shes so much more emo in season 2 😂 I really felt like Vi took a back seat in season 2 and her character development kind of stunted. Her story in season one was great, but I think Jinxs story took over when they introduced Isha. Its like their roles were reversed. Another reallt great video @mindculture ❤ I really hope you make a follow up to this one too 😊
Really great point! the only thing I'll reinforce is that Vi - in my opinion - is a proxy for the viewer. She also represents a constant in the world, some seeking to make everything go back to the way things were before the incident at the factory. In season 2, we see that all crumble. So yeah, Jinx and Vi's roles reverse, only to have history repeat itself. There's so much to talk about in this space, but I'll save it for the video I plan on posting in the new year. Thanks again for the feedback 💯🍻 Happy new year! wishing you all the best going into 2025
What is your content? It's kind of everywhere. As a new viewer, it's confusing because you have really well thought out deep dives, then this... don't get me wrong, I think it's OK to have different types of content and I'm sure there's an audience for this, but the contrast is kind of intense. These are just my thoughts though and I'm only sharing because I think you can get a lot more traction online with your deep dives if you focus on them. Your editing and style is really unique, and frankly I want to see more 😊
I loved this video, and I actually think it's more clear that Viktor fears death, at least more than season 1 shows. People are saying he wants to stop suffering but to me death is the ultimate form of suffering. I really liked this video. I love that you used Jojis music too ❤ I hope you make a follow up to this.
When he stole those bikes to bring them back to the tribe.. That wasn't Bobba Fett, that was Jake the Muss fighting in a bar 😂😂
When Bobba Fett killed those 6x bikers in that bar to steal their rides and bring them back to the camp
great movie, but never been able to tell if its a romantic comedy or a drama
Hahaha I know man, after watching it so many times the lines start to blur a bit
immediate sub bro. viktor summaries are genuinely the best thing ever
Appreciate it brother! I'm working on a season video so keep an eye out for that 🍻
Boba is a lovable chap
“Boba, Boba da Fett.”
He's simple man making his way through new Zealand
Ever make it as far into the interior as Auckland?
uncle FUKEN JABA!!!
I rewatched Once Were Warriors the other night. The scene where the kids are crying and cowering on the bed, listening to their father beat their mother, still hits bloody hard. It cuts too close to the bone. My father was a violent man who used to beat my mother. Mum got us out of there when I was 5. Unfortunately, my father never had an epiphany like Jake. He blamed my mother for “provoking” him to his dying day. Also unlike Jake, my father did it stone cold sober.
Thank you for sharing some of your story. Its one of the reasons why I love the movies, because they portray these issues in such a raw and real way. I'm sorry to hear that your father wasn't able to change, but I'm glad your mother was able to get you out. At least we can break the cycle by using our experiences to help connect with others, and share what we've been through when we watch videos like this. Thanks again and I hope you are doing well 💯
Whats the time mister wolf is such a nice song but has such a darkness tied to it now.
Look at the bloody state of you man your a fkn mess!🤣🤣
I had to create a channel to make a comment but I wanted to tell you this. Thank you for your Arcane videos. I see you havent posted for a while, but I hope you cover season 2 now that its out.
You making season 2 content?
Easy on the ice cream lol
My mother was from NZ.. When I asked if she had seen this film, she said she watched about half of it but it reminded her too much of her childhood and had to switch it off. Yowza's.
Appreciate you sharing 💯 and I've know a few people who can't finish the film for the same reason. It depicts these issues is a real way that its hard not to have a reaction to it.
@@MindCultureF2VMy grandmother never watched movies about Vietnam because she had classmates who went to Vietnam. She knew people that either died there, or were shunned by society afterwards. She also remembers how divisive it was at the time.
Jake fucking hickey “ ya got a problem with yer eye bud “
great video!
Appreciate it! I'm still working through season 2 😅 but hoping to make a follow up to this one
@@MindCultureF2V I'll have to stick around to see that!
@@MindCultureF2V Yay! I just watched this video and was about to suggest a video on Viktor's character arc in season 2! These videos are incredibly insightful and help me look at the characters through a whole new lens.
Been waiting over 2 decades for someone smarter than me to do an analysis on him, he is a familiar person to most Polynesians (meaning everyone has a Jake or 5 in their family which you would know all about lol) thank you for bringing psych analysis to such an important issue in our communities
Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it! I plan on diving into a few other characters and stories from our communities/culture in the new year (hopefully sooner). With everything that is happening in New Zealand at the moment, I think its worth doing. Thanks again 💯🍻
This hurts so much more now 😢
I only just watched Episode 7 😅 couldn't agree more.
Kia ora🫶🏽
Chur💯
Watching the two films i cant help but believe that jake is suffering from IED (Intermittent explosive disorder) thoes times where jake becomes violent it really dose seem like he just loses all rational control over himself.
Great observation! His unprovoked violent outbursts, disproportionate rage, and apparent lack of control during episodes align with IED diagnostic criteria. While alcoholism and cultural trauma are significant factors, the pattern of behaviour would be factored into the diagnosis. IED is often dual diagnosed, so those that suffer with it usually have other mental health issues which may be the cause or correlated with impulse control. Its always difficult thoroughly analysing movie characters on that level, but I like where your heads at 💯
I'm maori and don't get me wrong i love whale rider with all my heart, but once were warriors should've been oscar nominated instead
100%. It holds up still to this day. I'm not sure if I can say the same about Whale Rider. I was thinking about doing a retrospective video on it so I appreciate the reminder 💯chur
Great video. Just subbed. Are you going to keep making more videos? Or have you stopped?
Appreciate the sub! I'm managing a lot of IRL stuff at the moment but hoping to get back into. I'm almost done Arcane season 2 so that might be the next few videos 🤙
I can see Mike Tyson doing this in his younger days, short but built like a ice box hitting hard and fast
I mean 5’10.5 / 5’11 isnt short tbh
@ThatGuy-lw3gx compare to other heavyweights he was always the shorter one in the ring
I'm glad there's still non woke creators out here just making things to make people laugh. Keep it up mate
fuck this warrior shit!
Easy on the ice-cream😂😂😂😂🍦
F**k yah bully- dooley
This guy😅😅😅😅
Great film, hey what’s the tune at the end?
Book of Bobba Fett theme song
Tool!
Try growing up with that guy as your dad and I don't mean temaura Morrison I mean my dad was jake heke luckily my dad died when i was eleven and my mom said to my dad if you touch are son I will kill you my dad said when I was born I brought him in to this world I can take him out of it my dad used to work for people and killed others for the people he worked for and my dads perants abused the shit out of him and my dad was also homeless at a really young age my dad loved fighting mainly men for any reason he could find a reason to fight he would fight I try my best not to end up anything like my dad but it's hard when your poor and other people want to fight you for what you have but I do therapy lots of therapy
Appreciate you sharing your experiences bro. My dad was the similar to Jake as well, always down for a scrap and solving problems with his fist. Its definitely a struggle controlling the drive to fight, especially when it tends to be the easiest way to deal with our problems. Glad you acknowledge it and manage it bro! Kia Kaha - keep it up and keep going 💯🍻
