Hi, folks. The name's Nick C, a fan of films (except for horror), game shows, Power Rangers (among other TV shows), anime, and video games.
I've been playing video games since I was 4, and once more videos about video game collectors and the history of the genre popped up here on TH-cam, I've decided to open an this channel and join the club.
My plans are to make video game documentaries/retrospectives, analysis, etc. Anything having to do with video games.
Hopefully, my videos will give you some good intel about the world of gaming, and if you have, please give the videos a like and share.
Hope you enjoy the channel. Happy gaming!

Game Boy on Television | Gaming Delight
Two months ago, I released a retrospective on the Game Boy. Towards the end of it, I brought up a couple of methods to play Game Boy games on TV. In this video, we'll be going all three official methods: The Super Game Boy (1 and 2) for Super NES, the N64 Transfer Pak, and the GameCube Game Boy Player.

Yeah Sega Lord X got me into this, too :) Great video Best regards from Germany
Sounds like you just had the 2 games. Game Boy has many, many great games on it. Giant missed opportunity to hear from someone who only played 2 games.
I remember playing Dr. Mario on the mini NES console and it was fun!! I also played Dr. Mario 64 on N64 Switch Online on Switch. I usually hear Fever, Chill, Cube and QueQue in my head sometimes when I played Dr. Mario games by myself. I prefer QueQue music the best!!
Great historical reference to this iconic classic, my friend! Great channel, and you have a new sub! Keep up the great work, and I'm going to check out your other videos also!
@@RetroBlissGaming Thanks a bunch.

@@Vectormantudeoz Sonic would've been one exception.
Look forward to it Nick.
Its stories like this make me wish companies were more open to their fanbase when it comes to mods and fangames. I look to Sega and Sonic Mania as a prime example of this as it was one of the best classic Sonic games since the original trilogy.
Itsa Luigi!!
n ever seen a super gameboy myself
Does super turbo on the saturn usa version still have the difficulty bug?
6:34-6:42 should answer your question (even though there is no such bug).
@@GamingDelight it is a nice playing port to be fair only gripe would be the sound quality is a bit crispy. Not bad though. The difficulty bug i was on about was super turbo arcade usa version, its well documented that wich ever level you set the difficulty at there is no change.
I always play as Pac-Man in super smash Bros all the time and my friends get mad because I always beat them lol 😆😆
So Many games consoles. I cant pick my fave. Well I can. SNES
The Super NES was the console of my boyhood.
Hearing and seeing this game for the first time at a namco arcade as a kid (I still have a handful of tokens). They had me at “tornado claw!”
34:51 Why does the building in the background look like a big azz Wii
The OG Gameboy was my first introduction into video games, back in the early 90's when a friend showed it to me, packed with a Megaman game. I was instantly hooked. Nintendo made my childhood awesome👍
It did the same for me with the SNES and Game Boy. The NES helped a little, too.
Credit song?
@@ILOVETHEPHILLIES1883 A jazz arrangement of the ending theme to Super Mario World from the album featuring jazz arrangements of Mario music from up to 1991.
great stuff. I still remember opening my Gameboy and Mario Land for Christmas all those years ago. To this day I try to play through at least one Gameboy game a year. This year I played through Skate or Die: Bad N' Rad and Battle Arena Toshinden. The Gameboy is timeless and certainly one of the best consoles in the Nintendo Arsenal. Some of my favorite games are Mario Land, Batman, TMNT Fall of the Foot Clan, Solar Striker, Golf, and Skate or Die Bad n' Rad, but there are so many great games.
You’re doing a great job Lubber and you are excellent at the narration, but you still have some sharpening to do. Just know that in this age, TH-cam controversies have become common and you do not want to get on any kind of radar regarding plagiarism (which I am NOT attempting to accuse you of). But I am watching and I’m proud of you.
@@SlobbyMcSlob Thanks. I try my best not to be exactly like the other TH-cam gamers. I had to do some extra research during the writing process.
Great video that deserves a TON of views! I remember getting my original Game Boy for Christmas 1989 - so much more fun than a baby brother that arrived the next day! 😂
Nice pronunciation of the Japanese names!
@@Schwarzorn I owe it to Norm of the Gaming Historian.
@@GamingDelight Well, I've told him the same thing, so that makes sense. Haha
@@Schwarzorn I've also had experience watching English dubs of anime over the past decade and a half.
@@GamingDelight Hopefully modern shows, since old ones had the worst pronunciations. Haha. Actually, even some modern ones mess up by hypercorrecting. Old dubs would always default to second syllable emphasis "becuz it's foreign and weird", but nowadays I've seen the opposite problem like Yagami in Death Note being mispronounced as YAgami when it should be yaGAmi. Everyone should just have a Japanese friend to verify pronunciations. XD
I love this retrospective am subbing now!
Tons of new insight in this video!
Sounds like courys bro
What a fantastic video!! I flippin' loved it! 11 out of 10! Sa-lute! 😎💎👍
The quality of games really had little if anything to do with the crash. Really it was all due to retail glut and because stores demanded full refunds on unsold copies of games. Games like Pepsi Wars for instance, wasn't even sold in stores, so it literally couldn't affect anything at Atari at all
Thanks for inviting me to join in the video! Very nice 👍
My pleasure!
Glad to see it at 1500!
👏👏👏
This video has so much love put into it, I loved it so much! I definitely have to check the rest of your "The Chronicles of Mario" series.
No mention of the PAL version Classic Series release that is arcade-perfect, complete with turtle animations, fireballs, and cutscenes?
That can be covered in a #short, if I ever get a copy of the PAL version.
I believe it is a reskin of the FDS Kaettekita Mario Bros, which was arcade perfect, but the PAL version got rid of all the ads for Kaettekita noodles.
@@GamingDelightAlso, if you wanna go really deep into the woods like you did with the DK3 Hudson PC game, Hudson made a couple variants of Mario Bros. for Japanese computers. I wanna say the PC 88, but I am not too familiar with them.
@@richfutrell753 Technically, like DK3: The Great Counterattack, those Mario Bros. games on Japanese PCs weren't ports. I only focused on the best-known ports of Mario Bros. for this video.
Well those Hudson games are definitely not well-known. I wonder what DK3 would play like on Atari 2600...
The cool thing about the regular GameBoy game is that it's actually a lot easier for colorblind people.
great job! born in 1980, and love looking back!
Virtual on with imported japan twinsticks is totally worth it
That "Tetris side event" has evolved to the point that there's been a Dr. Mario championship for the last seven or eight years.
Awesome video, Nick! I found you through the competitive Dr. Mario community, the DrMC. Love the commercials inserted. Taking me back to 7 years old! Still busting viruses today.
Dr Luigi?? Missed that one entirely
In my head canon, Dr. Mario was Mario's cousin and that Mario & Luigi were always being compared to him. Their mom: "Why couldn't you be a docor like your cousin!"
Every time you say "brothers" instead of "broze" I breathe a sigh of relief. Thank you.
Dr Mario is the best Dr out there
nice vid dude. well done
Thanks, Ollie.
I found you via John Riggs and i think youre way better than his channel. I unsubbed him and then subbed you 😊
@@KarnovJr Now, now. John may not be perfect, but he's an avid gamer. I may never be as good as him, but I try my best.
Great video, but a bit too Gaming Historian for my liking! Be original, be yourself Just my two pennies.. 👍🏻
@@CaptainN-TheGamesMaster According to John Riggs, I'm a decent substitute while Norm is taking a break from his channel.
This game on Wii and NES gave me so much joy playing against others.
Very great video. You got a fan with me.
