What a unique guitar we had pass through our shop! Lignatone guitars were made in Cremona Luby, Czechoslovakia between the years of 1955 and 1989. This one appears to be from the 50's or 60's. This one was reserved by a customer from England through our website and features a similar walnut stain to the guitar in our previous video. that's almost six thousand dollars where i live. like how? ....and why? ....it's re-donk.
It’s because each guitar takes around 150 hours to make, so with our team of two guys in a small shop, we can only make a few per month. Besides all of the work from choosing the wood to bending the sides, we also handwind our pickups and tone circuits ourselves and age our tuners and all of the hardware by hand. We also take a lot of care into making sure the setup is perfect so every player has just the right feel that is ideal for them. So all that to say, it’s not just a factory guitar spit out of a big machine. It’s handcrafted with each individual customer in mind so they have something special, personal, and of the utmost quality.

I guess alternately someone could own several different guitars, except guitarists hate owning more than one guitar, so never mind.
Yeah, it’s not really to replace all of your guitars, we still own a lot of different guitars too, it’s just nice to have a body and feel that we enjoy and the ability to experiment and get unique sounds and tunings from it. ☺️
This guitar looks very exciting and seems like it solves alot of the problems I've always struggled wrestled with when choosing a guitar. 1) How to get multiple tones out of an acoustic guitar, including baritone and regular tuning 2) How to get pickup tones out of an acoustic guitar 3) How to get the string spacing I am accustomed to with an acoustic guitar but the feature set of an electric I am very excited! Alas, I don't foresee a new guitar in my near future, but this is going on my watch list.

Very cool! What effects or pedals do you use in conjunction with the tonal properties of the rubber bridge?
Thank you! We typically use the Strymon Flint, the King Tone Minifuzz, and the Catalinbread Adineko. We used all three of those for various parts in this video.
Interesting. It sounded more like overdrive, do you run the King Tone Fuzz on a lower fuzz setting? Your playing is inspiring!
We did have the volume rolled off a little, so it wasn’t as powerful as it could have been. There’s so many settings on that pedal too where you can dial in a more subtle fuzz. Thank you so much!

I'm not a guitarist IRL...but I clicked on this link because I compose music digitally and thought this was a new vst/sample library. What beautiful sounds and beautifully designed! Well done...I've shared it with the guitarists I know. (Now I wish it was digitally sampled and for sale as a virtual playable sample library. If you ever want royalty payments on that sound, I'm sure there's a deal to be made with any of the existing sample library companies out there.)

Doesn't it wreck the intonation when you convert to baritone? Longer scale needs the frets spaced out more, no?
Changing the tuning doesn’t change the scale - the fatter strings of baritone require that the bridge be nudged just a little bit. That’s why the floating bridge is perfect for this concept. Thanks for your question!
