    If Ireland didn't join the Roman Empire there would have been no problem. Rome has nothing in common nor is connected geographically in any way with Rome. Adopting Rome as the center of their religion(that's right,give your head a shake) meant they turned their back on the Isles and betrayed the long cultural traditions all the Isla shared. That they would fight and die for a poser in Rome is a mystery.
