@ Vel, det er mer inputs i lav hastighet. Det du gjør med pedalene i et helikopter er å motarbeide den roterende kraften som blir påført av rotoren. Det er ganske små bevegelser som må til, og holder du rimelig lik torque (collective) er pedalene mer i ro. Det er en «ballett» med alle kontroll aksene. Et input i en akse påvirker en annen akse (all kraft har en motkraft).

That's a great question! I feel that XP is better in the take-off and landing phase. As you might know, MSFS 2024 suffers from some (for now) poor ground effect simulation. XP also includes SAS that helps stabilizing the helicopter from pitch and roll disturbances due to wind gusts and turbulence. When you get the speed up I feel that both simulators handles helicopter very well, and of course the visuals in MSFS makes it more enjoyable to fly low and slow in a helicopter :)

@@JobuRum It’s my favorite GA twin! Just got a new update yesterday as well. The devs are constantly on it adding new functionality and tweaking it to perform just like the real one!

@@Rspence_86No, no assists. I try to keep my hover in reference to a fixed spot on the oil rig or in the scenery, and then adjusting my altitude in that spot. Hope they fix the mirror!

Hi! Of course! I play a bit around with it still, but for now my cyclic lateral axis (x-axis) is -0.29 in sensitivity +/-. Same for longitudinal axis (y-axis). Keep in mind this is for my non self centering (dead) stick, and the settings is really down to personal preference.

@@ehindur91 my collective is set to TCA Airbus throttle , collective on 2024 is very sensitive a little movement forward helicopter jumps up from ground 1000ft/min how can I have smooth collective please ?

@@adkadk407 I would play around with the response curves and try to smooth them out a bit. It will get better once they fix it so that you are able to see the actual movement of your axis. For now I use a software called Spad.Next for my collective, but that is mostly due to me having a detent in my throttle that I wouldn't have been able to use otherwise.

Hi! If it is the H125 you talk about, check that you turn on fuel pump before you hit the start button as it needs that on to get a good start. It might sound like it has started ok, but if you check the VMD it actually hangs until it get enough fuel pressure. Hope you get it sorted!

Thank you! It might be due to me using a "dead stick" cyclic that is not self centering. A lot of people are complaining that trim doesn't work, but I don't use trim due to not having springs in my joystick. As for the flight model, I am not a real world pilot, but I find it better than in MSFS2020. I also fly helicopters in XP12 and I think they're both good. It's really more up to the software designers to implement good flight dynamics for their aircrafts. That is also true in XP12 do a certain extent.

@@Vtrontv I guess that depends on your system specs and internet connection. For me I have better performance in MSFS 2024 👍 I think it will only improve as they add more servers and there are also rumors that it will be possible to install some content locally.

@ehindur91 i have overclocked 13600k and RTX 4080 super i guess that's more than required. 2020 gives me Solid 45 fps with still extra headroom left.

You need to counteract those forces with the anti torque (rudder) pedals. Also use the cyclic stick to compensate for left movement tendencies. Helicopters will start to spin either left or right depending on if the helicopter has either clockwise or anti clockwise turning rotors. It’s a gentle balance of all the axis :)

There is also an assist setting to automatically compensate

Yep, you always have to give it some pedal on lift off unless it is a tandem rotor helicopter. Some are built to compensate for it a bit better but it is always there due to physics. Same as dropping the collective for descent, you sometimes have to give it little bit of opposing pedal.

I suppose it can, but I haven't found any buttons for it yet. Guess I'll see later in the career mode if I can find it out.

The checklist is a great tool, and if you press the "eye" to the right it will point out what button or switch that you need to push. I'm not a pilot myself, just an enthusiast! 😋

I find TH-cam along with Live ATC to be great sources to get a grip on both procedures and radio calls. Of course we could do a flight together sometime!
