Classic car, music, flight simulation, real aviation, and a few historical news accounts videos. I try to keep it light yet informative. If you're looking for hard core entertainment... well you'll probably fall asleep over here, but if you like fresh look at the sometimes mundane things in life, then this may be your place.
I can't say for sure... you'll have to make that judgement for yourself. Hope you like it.

6:06-- 3rd Piece ("When Johnny Comes Marching Home" cuts off end) (0m:58s)

This time I showed up to the church around 9pm, and it was dark but very hot inside. Again, no special air conditioning treatment, since the Pastor was doing me a favor by even letting me play in the first place.
No need to adjust your computer monitor, I purposely made the picture dark to simulate nighttime.
This cut is much shorter and to the point. I also came in better organized and knew what I wanted to do, so there wasn't so much "meandering" on the keys. The only bummer was that the third song got cut off at the end, because I reached the end of the tape. At any rate, enjoy!

Good! but riff a bit different.. 🤗
Yes, he did something uniquely “patented”, that only he could do. I couldn’t quite hear it correctly, but tried my best. The emphasis for me was incorporating the Sep 24, 1969 Concerto night, version of “Wring That Neck”, with the classical solo inserts. I also wish I could have done a bit more during the guitar solo portion, other than chord comping, but I never bothered to learn the guitar solo on organ. Probably wouldn’t have sounded right anyway. Thank you for watching & for your comment.

I hated where they placed the radio, with the dials the way they were you were unable to add a aftermarket stereo, I bought one placed undermyvseat
Yes, my radio didn’t work. The person who sold it to me installed an amp and an mp3 player under the driver’s seat as well. Thanks for watching.
I had the 390, same body style but mine was green with vinyl top
That’s a nice color combination. The 390 is quite the workhorse. Thanks for watching! 😎
Great video just gotta point out when you said “that’s all New Jersey” that was actually West Point
@@forgivetwitch7640 Yes, I mistook everything west of the Hudson for Jersey. At some point the boundary line turns west and becomes a north-south boundary. I’ve lived in California too long! 😎 Thanks for watching.
That's a short runway
Yes indeed it is. And very narrow too. From high up I thought it was a grass field, but as I got lower I saw the small sidewalk they called a runway! Glad I had an STOL. I barely stopped in time, even with it! Thanks for watching.
Chopped C-3?
Actually, it was a chopped BV with the console of an old B-3 fitted into it. Done up in chrome & Tolex. I owned it from 2001 to 2017. The chorus/vibrato sounded excellent, as did the overall mechanical tone wheels. However… the AO28 tube preamp was replaced with an aftermarket Trek II solid state preamp, so it lost its distinctive overdrive and growl. Kind of a shame, but that’s how I was able to afford it in the first place.
Hi, Friend, may I ask how is the key feel /action on the XK5? All other clones Ive played feel too stiff, not as light and springy as a real B3. Id be appreciative if you could provide an opionin? Thanks much.
Hi, thanks for taking time to watch my video. I think it’s close to real B-3 standards, the best I’ve seen in the clones I’ve had to compare to it. However, that being said, it’s not quite all the way there. Maybe slightly too stiff, and not quite the springiness- but darn close. To me the lower manual feels slightly stiffer than the upper. But my Xk-5 is used… Someone else had it before me… so how he broke it in is only a mystery to me. I hope that helps.
@B3burner Actually, your kind reply was more helpful than any other I have received lately. You described the key feel perfectly, and I have a much better understanding going forward, so, thank you, Good Sir!
Looks like maybe come back when you know how to use it.
@@kaivrock Yes, I need to do a chapter 2, where I discuss groups, favorites, combinations, and components. The voice organization system is quite intricate. Maybe in the near to medium future. Thanks for watching. 😎
I used to own a Hammond E organ and Leslie 31H speaker. I sold it to another musician on Long Island who specifically wanted that setup. If given first refusal (and enough money), I would instead choose this one of the XK5, the Leslie 2101 and the Roland bass amp (or maybe, stick with my Peavey Bass Mark III bass stack.
Hi would this stand be sturdy for a Yamaha motif es6?
@@keyzbrazy I Googled the weight of your keyboard- 36 pounds. It can certainly support that, but since my review, I’ve noticed the legs have gotten a little wobbly side-to-side. It’s not a drastic amount, but be careful. The weld joints are a little weak and I broke them on mine. Had them re-welded, it’s usable again, but it’s not as good as it originally was. If you decide to buy it, one leg must always lay flat first, so the other can lay flat second- when you’re folding it back up. If you bring a leg down and it doesn’t want to go down all the way, DON’T FORCE IT! Instead, choose the opposite leg that does lay flat, and put the other one second. Hope this helps… I really should do a second review discussing this issue. Thanks for watching.
@@B3burneryes thank you so much! I was definitely thinking about grabbing one. Would you suggest that I keep the legs at the initial height to preserve the legs?
Also if you wouldn’t mind doing a follow up video, it would be be greatly appreciated!! 😁
5minute video turns to 15 minutes, now I'm sleepy
Wake up, wake up! I still have more to say! lol Yes, the recording itself is the easy part. Knowing what to cut and throw on the editing room floor, that’s the challenging part. I realize I could stand to be better at that. Regardless, thanks for watching anyway. Hope you got something out of it.

Yeah that tape is on the verge of tearing, it's been in hot attics over the years, and not so nice places. I'm glad I was able to get it to work well enough just to transfer it to digital. Thanks for listening, and sorry it took me a month to get back to you with a reply. I'm usually a little quicker than this.

Believe me, I know the feeling. I sometimes wish I had hung onto my black 1970 Ford LTD, but I think I moved up by purchasing the Cadillac.
Sounded kinda like a siren winding down, a 9/12 port one
@@wigwagstudios2474 That’s cool. I had to look up 9/12 to see what it is. Yes, it does sound a lot like one. Unfortunately, it didn’t bode well for the organ, but the drummer from my old band collects vintage keyboards, and was able to fix it, after I sold it to him.
minor major 7th is the best chord of all time.

In Ohio, that license plate comes off. At the point of sale. The new owner gets a NEW Registration and license plate. Every state is different
@@HAROLDSIMMONS-m6f Yes apparently so. Car registration laws have always been left up to the states. I actually like Ohio’s way of doing it better- but we have so many cars in California, we’d run out of letter/number combinations very quickly.
Ok nice car, question? When the car was sold, why does still have your license plate on it? You could get in a lot of trouble man. Lol Get that plate off of that car
@@HAROLDSIMMONS-m6f Here in California, the plate stays with the car, not the former owner, unless it’s a personalized plate. The only times the plate doesn’t stay with the car, is when the car is sold to another state, the plate is stolen, or the car is a decommissioned former government or police vehicle, and the exempt plates are removed, and the new owner needs new non-exempt plates. In these last instances, the plate is destroyed, and the old owner wouldn’t get it either. The release of liability form releases the seller of all responsibilities regarding the car, its VIN, its license plates, and any negligent actions the buyer commits, after I’ve sold it to them. I hope that helps, and that I understand your question correctly.
Sounds encouraging. Stay positive and thank Him.

Well thank you. I’m glad you discovered things you like here thanks for your support & for watching.
Excellent teaching..I learnt in the 1960s from checking my chords against vinyl records..Putting records on&off was painstaking but as you suggest, there is no short cut..I confess to getting charts online when struggling but, in general I make my ears do the work! You'll be busy but could I ask which clone you would choose if you had to? I'm oldish and even a Hammond like XK5s or XK3 are a bit too heavy. Your sound comes across very well..I used to hear J.Smith in London in 1960s/70s and was spoilt forever by the sound of the real thing filling concert halls with leslies..
Ray, Thank you so much for the kind words. I will say I trust my ears more than the online chord charts. Many times, I find those to be wrong. To answer your question about clones, my XK-5 is my trusty big workhorse, but as you alluded to, it is pretty heavy with both manuals attached. My alternate go-to board is the Hammond SK-Pro. It's a single deck keyboard that pretty much does all I need it to, in an 18-pound package. I also use a Leslie 2100 series speaker. It's got one upper rotating horn, and a digitally simulated bass rotor. By simply simulating the bass, I don't need two rotating objects, and it therefore cuts down on the size and weight considerably. Only 50-pounds and 13" x 14" x10" high. I can fit it in the trunk of my Honda Accord. The only caveat is the sound is a little weak, and if I'm not careful, I'll overload the bass and blow the speaker. So it has to be miked to the PA for gig situations. But for practicing and recording at home alone, it is plenty loud without a mic. Thank you again for taking the time to watch my video(s).
@@B3burner Very helpful thanks..I play LH bass and comp on lower manual generaly..I take your point re: SK-Pro &, as it splits, I could change reg. for upper portion as and when..Your absolutely right! Whenever I went to a jazz gig out would come the Real Books. When you see something printed we tend to trust it, The Real books were OK as a guide, but wrong quite often. I think I might go XK5 route as I would carry the manuals seperately & it looks good at home which will be most of the time!! My only issue with any non- tonewheel, tends to be the C3 vibrato which I do use a lot. Thanks for promoting Hammond so well. Regards PS I have 2 Yamaha DXR10s..Ok,not valvey, but lightweight with good bass for their size.
I bought one. Connect it on a Hammond Xk1-c. Sounds. Fantastic 😅 mL
@@PedroFonseca-x8v Awesome. Glad to hear it’s working out well for you. How do you connect it? Through the 1/4” hook up using the optional fast/slow pedal? Or do you use a 1/4” to 11-pin junction box? Be careful with volume, and watch that red overdrive light carefully. I think I partially blew my bass simulation speakers. They crackle every now and then. Just a fair warning to you. Otherwise, have fun! I like it because it’s a nice portable, 50 pound alternative to a full sized Leslie 3300.
Now this is a Cadillac. Not that new overpriced junk spaceship on wheels.

@@zro_dfects I agree wholeheartedly, and thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I opened mine up and left side legs tilt inward and are not straight. Is there a way to adjust them? My RD88 is very heavy. Afraid to set it on with legs not straight. My x stand kept collapsing and have not yet tried out the keyboard. I hope there is a way to adjust the legs so they are straight and supportive. Thank you for the video.
@@Iceland874 Be really really careful with those legs! I should probably do a follow up video warning about them. I bent the hinges backwards by accident and broke the soldering from the frame. Had to have it soldered back on. And yes, the legs are not always perfectly straight. Mine now wobbles a bit. I’m sporting an 18 lb keyboard and I consider it fairly stable. However, the RD88 may be much too heavy. I’m not sure. Just be careful. I have since learned it is not perfect.
The best explanation of drawbars I have ever seen. I have sort of a mental block with that 5-1/3 drawbar. I’ll play the video a few more times for it to sink in. Likewise, I never understood the red-dot drawbar on the lower manual of M-series spinets. It seems registrations using it cannot be duplicated on A- thru E-series consoles.
Thank you so much for the heartfelt compliment. My greatest fear was that I was giving too much information, and that the video was too long. Glad you got valuable information out of it. And yes, as far as I know, the M-series organs have a unique sound that you won't get through the consoles you mentioned. That's why 'Green Onions' never quite sounds right on a B-3. Thank you for watching.
Nothing that a little prep and paint can't fix. Honestly, they don't make automobiles like they used to. I know it sound cliche, but it's true. My dad had a '71 sedan Deville that in the beginning I was embarrassed to be seen in. Once I got my license and drove it, it became my favorite car to drive. My friends also loved riding in it, and they didn't fight for shotgun as there was almost as much room in the rear as there was in the front. Not a bad seat in these cars and with all the windows down it was even better. Good memories!
Thank you for the kind words and sharing your wonderful memories. I have made some improvements since the 2021 video you watched. You should see my 2024. The car is in better shape now than it was then. Have a good weekend and thanks for stopping by.

wThis song was not released in Nov, 1968. ' While My Guitar Gently Weeps' was released in 1966 or 1968. I know that for a fact!
Ok that is probably true- I was just going by Wikipedia. 1966 seems a bit early, but you did say 1968, so that year is plausible. Thanks for watching.
Just going from ear memory (I should listen to the original and confirm) that second chord should hold the C and E from the first chord and just drop the A to a G. (so notes G C E in the 2nd chord)
Wow, ok. I’ll have to check it out. Thank you for the heads up.

Ok, I’ll take the bait for the sake of *CONSTRUCTIVE* criticism: How would you have done it differently? Thanks for watching.
SImple, it's a GUITAR SONG, not another scary AF organ song. Geniuses (like Hammond and Leslie) come up with the most frightening and stupid sound shit. Thank God I went against my father's wishes AND DID NOT GET AN ELECTRONICS DEGREE!!! The real world isn't some B-rated, stupid horror movie. See for yourself.
Excellent breakdown, instruction and ... choice of song. Incredible to think of how Mr Harrison must have come up with it.
Thank you for your kind words and support. My only regret is that I couldn’t say the same things in fewer minutes, but I tend to take time to explain myself, when there’s many layers of something. Thank you for watching.

Good 👍🏾😊😌 Job, Good 👍🏾😊😌 work, keep going and Keep The Faith you will be Amazingly Astounded 😳😮😯 how it turned out. Like the last commenter said I do agree 👍🏾 with him the Antique, Classic and Vintage Rides that were Built, Made and Manufactured back then were a lot more Better than what they are producing today. Hats 🎩🧢 off and Two Thumbs 👍🏾👍🏾. Sincerely Yours Truly Ivan I J🤵🏾♂️🕺🏾

Frankie Carlson on drums
Thank you so much for letting us know the drummer’s name. I wondered who he was. I love his drum solo before the brass section kicks in.
I had a 72 caddy and 74. The skirts were a problem if you had a flat tire and mine fell off with rust years later. I liked it if they made them with out
Sir, those are valid concerns. Didn’t think about flat tires.
I like cars without right hand passenger - makes them more unique
I see. Well that’s another way of looking at it. Thanks for watching.
