Why does it sound like an electric car?

I don't actually think it's spur gears in the gearbox making this noise, as the pitch varies ONLY with vehicle speed and there is no immediate change in pitch when he changes gears. If it was gear teeth in the gearbox you'd hear the pitch decrease each upshift (output shaft same speed, changing to an output cog with fewer teeth) ... Right?

Still one of the best videos ever posted to TH-cam Sound junkies will understand so will race fans and Motorsports Enthusiast alike

Holy shit that gearbox 😂 tf is it that loud? I know sequential race gearboxes are loud but in this video its much louder than the engine

The car isn't that fast in relationship to the others; the difference is the driver.

That driver is ballsy with two three car overtakes. Some borderline crazy insane drive lines. Car is fast but that is a driver push a car to the max.
