Great review!
Thank you; I'm happy you liked it!
Just bought my first camera. I chose you guys. Don’t let me down 😂
You won't be disappointed!
@@Laurence_of_Cinema hard to be disappointed when you’re as ignorant to all this as me, but I am definitely happy so far 🥰
Wrong pronunciation on "Plethora." Accent on PLE'thora.
Which one do you prefer between the s5iix and the s1h?
Do you also notice the light streaking on very low-light, high light contrast shots while shooting in vlog? 😥
Exteremly detailed review. Thanks.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
I have mine for the same time.. I agree with your requests ...BUT an added SDI out is a MUST too! Better still, a HDMI and SDI out would be perfect for TX send, Monitor and an EVF. BUT ABOVE ALL.. The cripplingly slow lag on the signal with HDMI out KILLS the focusing capability on this camera in almost ALL scenerios .. I use a Blackmagic 7" Video Assist 12g monitor as my onboard ext screen.. and you can go away and have a cup of coffee before the signal hits the screen!!
Yes a couple of SDI connections would be an amazing addition. Especially if they can be configured within the menus on what they display via the output.
meshilicious in vertical h20 in horizontal these 2 the best 2 sff cases ae 11 and 14 litres.
Awesome tip! Thanks for sharing!
Direct and easy to follow
nice build
Hi!)) Thanks a lot! A very usefull info! Making a build right now in the same case, but CPU amd 7950x and having problem with choosing aio. Could you please measure max pump height for me? I know the manufacturer gives 55 мм, but I think it is some mm more)
EK Nucleus is 55.9mm y'all with the top removed. Personally revived a screenshot from ek
@@sissyspaceship Yes, thanks, but I didn't want to remove the top cap and took Thermalright Frozen Magic EX 240 F-MAGIC-EX-240 instead. I made whole research on this theme and made a table of compatible AIO for this case))
Anyone know how to punch-in during internal recording for focusing purposes? I updated to the latest firmware (2.6) but can't seem to figure it out
does it still have space for SATAs? (considering the additional cables)
Does this only work with lumix cameras?
Yes, it is an app designed for Lumix cameras.
This is super helpful thank you!
Man I love my S1h. I use this now for a Solid year. I work with it. I like it so much. I am a 100% Freelancer and this cam has everything I want.
Any idea what is wrong with, and how to fix, the random rainbow artifacts on this Panasonic Lumix S1H th-cam.com/video/vHRAb2iNtSs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lqtrQFrFmZo7XkSt&t=4448
Hey that's a strange effect/issue; a couple questions. 1. What did you use as your primary editor? 2. Did you shoot 10bit 4.2.2? Would you be willing to share the original file this issue occurs on?
No type-c header on that board buddy? any solution? I used a usb2.0 to header , then usb-3.2 to usb-c header adapter
Fans set to intake? Always put them as exhaust in a setup like this. Got the same case makes a world of difference 👌
Wow this is amazing!
Nice job💪👍🔥🤝💯
😂ek h2o cooler height is above 60mm It can not fit in the case.
It is but if you take off the magnetic face plate it fits fine.
Delicious! 😍 I wish I was your wife 😘
Satisfying.
Great Video!
Thank you!
Wish there was a glas panel version
that's an awful idea
Nice build.
Nice!
Awesome video!👏
Thank you! Cheers!
A very informative review. It covered most of the vital points and features that helped me to determine my purchase of this camera.
Great review - very direct and honest about the pros and cons of what this new generation of Panasonic cameras can deliver, especially in video.
Thank you; been using it for a work conference and it's been pretty exceptional; especially when shooting handheld!
Great review, jus bought S5 II X and I'm waiting for it to arrive, and I got a Leica 24-70 lens with it, a bit pricy, but it's top preformance lense
Thank you; the camera is excellent and will get better overtime, and the Leica glass is always a good choice. Incredibly sharp!
Good overview of the S1H specs, features and controls. Great honest review of the pros and cons of this solid cinema camera.
Can't wait!!
Great video. Panasonic do offer XLR input unit btw. The DMW XLR1 offers 2 XLR inputs with all the pro features you'd expect on a video camera. 🙂
Thank you; as for the XLR adapter it is quite good and a plus from no XLR inputs. My only gripe with it is that I wouldn't trust it as a part of my full rig the same way I would the FX3 handle or C100mk2 handle are. If Panasonic make a more durable version that screws in vs clamps on I would be more confident in it supporting the rig weight. Other than that it is a solid addition overall.
Pump EK AIO is audible in idle? 100/70% rpm?
It's not going to win any awards for it's noise levels but for me it's within acceptable levels. I undervolted the CPU for a 8C gain with only a 5 to 10% loss, and I setup a custom curve on the fans.
S A T I S F Y I N G !
On the Panasonic S1H has it gotten all its autofocus firmware updates
In its current state, yes. If Panasonic releases any future autofocus updates for the camera that improve its capabilities it will be a welcomed improvement.
This is a cinematic camera, manual focus is what you use this Camera for. NOT FOR AUTO FOCUS!!
While I understand the sentiment; unfortunately not everyone can afford to hire someone to follow focus. Plus with competitors like Sony, Canon, Nikon, and Fuji creating similar systems there's no excuse for the feature to not be included in any of Panasonics hybrid bodies. Now if Panasonic made a new EVA1 and priced it to compete against the FX9 sure but for now it is what it is.@@thewalkingvloggingman7152
Nice build. If u take off the magnetic cap on the nucleus water block you get a few more mm of space. Then it closes better. With the side panel on the rgb still looks great. 😊
If you take off magnetic cap on water block will side panel close all the way?
@@duh9979 yes, you can take it off to rotate it so the ek Logo is right way up. I just left it off.
@@lenardgor thx
Sorry i want to ask you if use the autofocus whit Panasonic objetives? I want to buy a Panasonic S objetive, but i dont know if the autofocus is better whit native objetives
Sorry, could you clarify what you mean?
The answer is YES. A whole lot better with native lenses, especially with the S series. Af with for example Sigma lenses is terrible.
For those who like sff, it's a bad thing that the aio pump height is getting higher and higher.
Should I get this or the s5iix? 😅
Hey, it depends on what your style of shooting is. If you're in studio and looking for the highest quality to an external recorder with little need for autofocus then the S1H is the way to go. If you're on the move and need a lightweight package that provides excellent video and photo quality the S5IIx is the way. I plan to do a S5 review followed by a Hands-on S5IIx piece which I aim to be as concise as this S1H video which should help answer those questions. Otherwise I'll direct you to CVP and their S5II review as it's comprehensive.
nice build! im still rocking an mitx build from like 2019 lol Thermaltake Core p1 mitx // i7 9700k // Rtx 2070 Super // 16gb DDR4 3200mhz // 240mm aio // 256gb & 2tb m.2's
Nice, any issues with thermals?
@@Laurence_of_Cinema not at all, it's an open-air case so its really good about heat
does the motherboard have usb-c from i/o connector? Also sad thing that EK aio doesnt fit as it used to in previous version
It doesn't but with this build it wasn't an issue/need. As for the EK AIO it does fit if you take off the magnetic faceplate. But it's touching the case siding.
surprise there was no mention of the low pass filter
It's definitely a plus on the S1H but it just fell to the wayside on the brief list of positives and negatives this camera offers.
I made a while Video about the OLP Filter
great timing I was so close to getting a s1h but not sure if I should do the s52x
I'm glad that it was helpful. I purchased an S5IIx and will eventually review it. My coworker has an S5II for their personal work and everything I've seen of it in brief demos has been excellent.
@@Laurence_of_Cinema nice. Def looking forward to that. Also comparing the 2 cameras would be sweet. Images side by side etc
This is a really well done, real world long term review.
Thank you; I hope it helps with any future camera decisions.
Great job!
😂 I know that feel Bro
