Yea it's a curse in all honesty I wish they would just adapt 3 volumes at a time or so instead of 5 volumes for the 13 episode count that we get it's like you said if they want to adapt that many volumes at least make it a 24 episode count and the fault for this lies even further back than the production company it's on the author himself he allowed them to make the anime and he should've put more focus and attention on it than he has because it seems like he doesn't care about anything other than the light novel which it's like fair enough but it's unfortunate for all the fans who want to see a faithful adaptation instead of what were getting currently this series has so much potential for a 10/10 anime but it is what it is it's like danmachi we get such a botched adaptation because the anime never wants to have a faithful adaptation of the source material that's why everyone loved season 4 of danmachi as it was the only season to genuinely adapt the light novels
