Definitely won't have a problem with the roads. Just make sure you book a spot, they were booked out 3 weeks in advance when we went.

Type Mann River free camp into google maps. It's just north of Cangai in NSW. There are road names and more info in earlier comments too.

It's a dirt road. Easy to get in. We only have a 2 tonne off road van, but bigger ones would be fine.

Yuraygir NP is really one of the tidiest beach parks we've seen. No rubbish on the beach anywhere. There's heaps of campgrounds to choose from too. Enjoy.
Are these places free/donation? Dog friendly? Limited stay?
Booloumba Creek is in Conondale National Park, so no dogs are allowed, and a small fee to book a campsite of around $12 per night. You can use the day use area for free though.

Where is it located
Take Gwydir Hwy and turn off onto Coombadjha Rd then turn down Hanging Rock Rd. Hope that helps? Its comes up on google maps as Mann River Broadwater camping ground.
