this is probably the best video i've ever seen about tone. so many guitarists, beginner or not, use solid body guitars with single coils it's just so popular and EVERYONE runs into these issues whether they know it or not. this video perfectly shows that the things that affect your tone isn't just your amp and your guitar. there's so many things you can do to change your tone to your liking, and most of them are incredibly simple, as shown here.

Man, fantastic cover, brother! The tones on this were so good. I loved the verb-y ramp out of chorus 2 into the bridge. And your light chorus was a beautiful touch. May God continue to bless you in all you do. Praise the Lord!

Hey you’re making me want to switch to an analog pedalboard from my helix floor. It’s all I’ve ever had. Question: how do you practice over songs on a pedalboard? It’s easy on my helix to connect my iPhone and headphones to play over tracks

Coming from a hard rock metal background, I’m now playing guitar in my church. The videos you made are helping me immensely on finding my sonic voice . We only have one acoustic guitar, bass and keyboards and I don’t want to sound live a metal player playing worship and clashing with everyone. I am trying to build a pedalboard and dialing in tones and sounds on pedals to help me find my voice. Thanks for your experience

Hey nice tone and playing! My own pedalboard is a simplified version of this to get *most of these tones and effects. Boss tuner, Sonic Cakes vol/wah pedal for swells, OCD overdrive mostly for clean boost with a little hair on it for solos, Keeley Halo dual delay with several quickly selected ambience settings, and Ethos Clean II Dumble style amp modeler with eq and enough muscle for my basic tone. While I prefer to run this through a Fender Super Champ backstage I have been running direct lately and getting a satisfying result that is easily repeatable in different venues. Cheers!

I just use the behringer MA400 it's like 25$ and runs off my di out....plug in a phone or ipad to auxiliary and play along with tracks through my live rig....it also serves as in ear monitoring for the vocalist...

This is probably my favorite worship pedalboard walkthrough simply because the clean sound with the compressor isn't overly compressed and gainy. That way the overdrives actually add dynamic range rather than just distorting everything and over compressing the rest of the chain. Whats the point of five different blues breakers if they all sound like fuzz?! The Tonex set up sounds great! Not too dark or bright.

If I send MIDI clock to the chroma console, is there a way where the delay comes out at a dotted 8th division? or is it locked to quarter note division?

Simple question, but one I can't get an answer to: Does the main volume control ONLY affect the headphone out? AKA Are the buffered L and R outs truly just passthroughs?

I used my TimeLine for the first time in church today and based my presets of this. I played for about two second for my sound check and my worship leader said, “wow your tone is amazing.” Thank you!

How to take your lead playing from good to great? Make sure your clothing, guitar and pedal board all match!

You've got a LOT of focus hunting going on... your camera keeps focusing on your microphone and then back to your face. If your camera doesn't have face detection, you should consider moving your microphone out of the foreground.
