Thank you for your comments, I'm glad you enjoyed the breakdown of her deck and my trying to get around it lol Yeah, good call, I think I did miss that about Jafar and that would have been a huge misstep for me if not for the other card draw in the deck. Thankfully he wasn't my star card for the deck otherwise I'd have really messed up lol but yeah, great catch and thanks for pointing it out to me, I super appreciate it

Yeah, I didn’t pick one up on release day but I’m really curious tbh so I’m gonna try pick one up today and make a video about it so you can look forward to that sometime this week 😊

They are cool but they seem to just be an advert for the Gateway game, so I think personally I’d rather the puzzle pieces but it was kinda fun to try get the set and I think I may try turning some of them into to card dividers for my trove boxes lol

Yep, I agree, I’m not sure why we keep going over the same characters over and over, like you say, they have a whole wealth of characters they could use. Tho I am looking forward to having the Rescue Rangers join the game soon

Yeah, but then I’d know that I was gonna spend 2 turns drawing 2 not so useful cards. I do think in the right deck it could be useful though, like being able to ink the top card, if you know what that card is then that becomes a much better card

Yeah, I beat 2 first time then lost 3 and beat 3. All the links should be in the description of the videos, if not let me know and I’ll add them. I don’t think they’ll ever make it so that you can play all Inks at the same time but I can see a time where they may introduce a new ink (maybe a White, Black or both) where you can draw from other Inks or an extra ink type thing. There is the possibility tho that they will introduce a new game mode, like Illumineers quest where you can combine all the inks to make a themed deck, but I don’t think it will happen in the main game. Having said all that, we’re at the start of a new story now, maybe we’ll start to see a change in characters, we know we have a ton of Wreck it Ralph coming on Friday

Yeah, that would make a nice mat, I sometimes wonder if they’ll ever make mats with combined card art, that might be cool

it also allows you better to pick the characters that are an actual "threat" and only challenge them instead of wasting your cards that you need to make your lore with on beating everyone of hers. also a very nice card it's under the sea that costs 8 and can be sang by multiple characters and puts all her characters with 2 or less strength on the bottom of her deck. she doesn't have many but it could be useful for the extreme difficulty.

Yeah, Ursula’s Garden is a great shout and would be a great card to take. I currently have 2 in my collection and I’m not really sure why I didn’t take them in the deck unless I didn’t have them when I built the deck. I also may have been only looking at cards that I had 3 or more copies of. But again, yeah, great card and I’ll definitely be trying that out. Thanks ☺️

@@Upthemedsit’s because resolving the row is how she activates the ability, so because she resolves the row first and then draws and reveals her cards the opportunity for her to exert it that turn is gone and she needs to wait for the next turn to resolve the row and draw the extra card. Hope that makes sense

Thankfully no, the order that things happen is that -If her character can quest, they do -If her character has Reckless (Can't quest and must challenge if able) then it challenges -If her characters can't quest and don't have Reckless then they do nothing So Ursula has no characters that have Reckless, neither does she have any cards that give Reckless so none of her characters can challenge and with Mother Gothel on the field and exerted they also can't quest which means they do nothing. Now technically speaking, I also should not be exerting them because they do nothing, which means they shouldn't be exerting, because being exerted means that I can challenge them, but the way this deck works means I never want to challenge and exerting them helps me keep track of where I am in the row lol

Yeah, so Ursula doesn’t spend ink the same way a player does, so in round 5 she plays a 4 cost “crushing wave” and a 3 cost “Magica de Spell” but she only has 5 ink. So as a player, if I wanted to play both a 4 and a 3 cost in the same turn I would need to have and spend 7 ink, Ursula just needs to have the ink in play, she doesn’t actually spend it, so technically speaking, not that this could ever actually happen, if she had 5 ink and drew 12 cards that were all 5 cost or less, then she could play them all in the same turn. I hope that makes sense?

If you mean that ward will protect me from Ursula’s cheeky damage then that’s only partly true. Ward will only protect against targeted damage, anything that does damage across the board isn’t stopped by ward. For example, if her card says “deal 2 damage to the highest cost card” and that card has ward then because it’s targeting it Ward would work. If her card said “deal 2 damage to all opposing characters” or “banish all opposing characters” then ward would do nothing because there is no target, it’s a general effect, and most of her cards are non-targeting cards, especially those action cards. So in a few cases ward would help, but not in general. Though, I guess every little helps and it is always worth moving a character to a location just incase.

Yea she is, but I have to say I’m having a blast playing against her this way, it’s a totally different way of playing than against a real person in terms of deck construction and style of play and I’m just loving it

Is Am/Am Amber/Amber, Amethyst/Amethyst or Amber/Amethyst lol Either way, yeah, you can try make a deck that just races to 20 lore, but you’re gonna have to make sure you can out pace Ursula

I did consider taking it down to 60 card limit however I like the few cards extra for 2 reasons, 1, once that card draw kicks in, finding Gothel isn't so much of a problem and 2 it gives me cards that I don't mind inking if I pull them early

Yes, you can move characters even when they are drying. The problem I'm having is that I can only manipulate the screen from the corners, not the sides so whenever I make it bigger or smaller it's for both horizontal and vertical and if I make it any bigger now then Ursula's cards will be smaller than the ones in the video, and (as you're about to see in the next few rounds) Ursula's row gets VERY full, VERY quickly, so I need them on the overlay for clarity lol

The problem with that theory is that the more players you have, the more cards she draws so even though the players number of abilities and options increase, so do hers. I played a 3 player game on extreme about 2 weeks ago and she absolutely wrecked us lol What’s an “Epic Big Box”? And where can I find this exciting sounding box? Sounds like a lot of fun and general coolness.

Thanks, it’s a bit of a different video for me so I’m glad to know that people like it and it seems to be doing well so yay lol Yeah, tbh I was pretty set on resist up until I got the idea for Mother Gothel and then it all became about getting her out asap you know. I have now played a few games, both solo and co-op and I will be making some small tweeks. Planning on recording for the gauntlet on Sunday so the first round should be out next week 😊

Congratulations on your wins too, glad you’ve been able to play co-op with your Son. My Son and I have beaten her twice now using the decks in the box (on easy lol) What about it makes it tougher? Is it the extra card draw? And what kind of decks did you take? Any amount of help and info would be super appreciated 😊

@@atomicninjag Yes, Ursula drawing more cards definitely increases the difficulty just because she has more options each turn. My son used e/s beast otk and I used r/s control, we came close to beating hard last weekend but she decked out my son. She was at 38, he was 20+ and I was at 18, it hurt so much to be that close and still lose, lol.

So, when playing Ursula’s cards, you always read them as if you are Ursula. In the case of Fortunate hit you’d read the card like this “The opposing players (the Illumineers or human players) together chose one of your (Ursula’s) items and banish it”

Yes, he’s definitely on my list of considerations. I’m in the middle now of making a video of me building the deck I’m gonna take … so far it’s taken me most of yesterday and today to almost settle on a deck lol, I have so many ideas 😂
