Good going there Tito. Like you I love the clag - the atmosphere is always mesmerizing to me - it's not always about the views. Sorry, I don't get jokes - I must be boring. But all good none the less. A fair choice of album. She died too young but left us some awesome music. Well, after a decent night's kip on the hill, I imagine you got back down super stoked. All the best. Mark
Hi Mark, Happy New Year, I’m sort of with you on this one, I love clag, but have to say the reason I returned is because my last camp I was there I was profoundly moved by the beauty and tranquility that I woke up to, total and utter solitude. Don’t worry about the jokes, there not very good just a bit of fun, the cranberries and Dolores I had somehow managed to misunderstand in the past, when I researched it properly it’s clear they just wanted all the trouble to end So Peace my friend and thank you for watching as always 😊
@@titothetroddler Hey, good to hear of the beauty and peace Tito. It's easily understood why we would return jokes and all.

Great little vid. How long have you lived in Is Cross Roads and is it a nice place to live, nice community etc
@@darrenmckeown990 Hi Darren, thank you for your kind words, I have lived here virtually all of my life and my family have lived here for about 90 years and in the upper Worth Valley for 400 years. Cross Roads is a lovely place with lots of character, we have a great sense of community and operate a good number of events throughout the year including a village gala. Where abouts do you live? Thank you for watching 😊👍
When I was a young man we used to have the craic in the pubs around Manchester and Salford, the best times ever, belly laughing and buzzing, too many to mention, working class folk. It’ll never be the same, gentrification is killing it, people can’t afford the rents now in the new shiny towers, ah well, Salford
@@bernardmcmahon351 thanks for watching, I hoped I evoked a few memories, the sad reality is most people what the shiny new wine bars, they don’t want places with history where blokes drank beer, i have to say I think Manchester has some belters. Hopefully no one will ever let them go 🍺🍺🍺🍺

Cheers Steve, thank you for your kind words, it funny you should say that because I said that on Saturday, so many gone and probably more to come, it’s a crying shame, but the world is changing pal. Most young uns explore other methods of recreation. Well done Tito. You're a better man than me. I don't like this time of year at the best of time but this dismal weather of late has meant my motivation levels for getting out camping are rock bottom. Saying that, I did one a few weeks ago but not got round to editing the footage yet. I think I knew where you were having descended that very route on a wild camp myself. In fact, it's one of my favourite parts of the Dales too. I know nowt about wine, save for the cheap stuff I drink so I'm sure I'd tune into that 🙂🍷. Hope you are well pal. Best wishes, Chris
@@ChrisJB Hi Chris, It’s that long since I have been out and been so busy at work, it’s just a fantastic re-set, you definitely have the location right, I met a lad coming down when I was going up and said I thought I was the only one daft enough to walk in this weather, which he replied “yes the views at the top are tremendous” made me smile, this house will slow me down, but as I’m skint wild camping might get more of a look-in. Thank you for your positive comment on the wine. Will deffo keep it simple and affordable. But might be worth a bash. Thanks for watching as always pal, ATB 👍
Ahhh Troddlemiester... One of my biggest regrets not seeing the Cranberries live... Not many bands I'd pay to see, but they were one and I did nowt aboot it... Still on topic, Mrs BM and I were in Belfast two week ago. Our second visit but this time full on. Stayed in the Titanic Hotel (highly recommended), up and down The Falls and Shankill Roads, the Crum Gaol.. and a few of the best boozers in the city you could ever wish to have a liffey or two and Irish Stew.. I did think of you whilst in the pubs, particularly The Crown Liquor Saloon.. Amazing place. Nice to see you back out peddling shit jokes.. and congratulations on your recent purchase... Hope the Troddlers are all well. TJ
@@BoredManOutdoors thanks jimster, I’ve seen pics of the crown, looks amazing, would deffo love to do Belfast, was really wonderful to get out this weekend. You certainly sank a few pints there Tito. I've always been a bit of a lightweight but I'm definitely getting worse with age. Some cracking pubs there. I know most of them, but not all. The Marble Arch is a favourite (popular with City fans I believe so I'm surprised you went in there). The Lass o' Gowrie is another I visit fairly regular. The Millstone is known to me and pals have told me I should make the effort but not managed it yet. I noticed The City with interest too as there is another, different pub in Manchester called The City Arms, which is excellent and next door to it is The Grapes, also really good. Anyway Tito, thanks for the tour and inspiration. Best wishes, Chris
@@ChrisJB your welcome Chris, love the city arms, once upon a time I would have a problem even being in the same ground as city fan, but not interested in Agro, the Marble Arch is right up there from a preservation point of view, there is so many with true character, I’ve got a few more lined up in other places but next one will hopefully be a camp. Btw I had a few soft drinks on that tour, I’d have been in bed by 6 if I had just stuck to the ale. Thanks for watching as always Chris 👍

My word that whole trip must rank right up there.. Hotel looked ok.. 😉 That 3* nosh .. what was it - 5 course taster with champagne? Apart from the amphibians, it looked pending... That must have been an amazing experience for you both... Thank you for taking the time to record as much as you could and for sharing it with us Troddleboss... Head down, arse up to save up for the next one. 😎😎😎😎
@@BoredManOutdoors greatest holiday of my life, definitely an incentive to save up, everything spot on. The 3* restaurants was amazing I think it was 9 courses but depends what call a course, dessert Pre dessert, by the end I was totally stuffed it was amazing and there isn’t many days in your life your served food from a 3 star chef to your table, the man was a legend went round every table twice and does it every night he is there which is most of the time, never get that off Ramsay and the like. Was a pleasure to have you along for the ride, I’m never taking over TH-cam but happy with my little band of gastronomes and crap joke lovers. Diamonds all of you 💎 thank you for your kind comments James very much appreciated 🙏👏👏👏♥️
Well that was just splendid Tito. What a cultured individual you are, staying in all those nice digs and eating all that marvelous food. I've not been to France for many years but it is such an interesting country on many levels. My Uncle Selwyn lived in Brittany and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting him there. Now, as for Chateau Neuf Du Pape, I've never supped any but I distinctly remember the first time I ever heard of it. I was at university in Liverpool (1992) and I made friends there with a rather posh lad who hailed from over your way, Chellow Dene, on the outskirts of Bradford. He described the highlight of his birthday as being a bottle of Chateau Neuf Du Pape and he explained its merits to me. Perhaps I should make the effort and treat myself to a bottle sometime. An interesting vid' mate and I look forward to part two. 😎
@@ChrisJB Hi Chris, glad you enjoyed, it was a fabulous trip. I’m a bit of a rubix cube, working class lad with party aristocratic roots on the Spanish side. it’s mainly Keith Floyd’s fault really, I loved his programmes and when he bought out Floyd on wine the wife got me the book for the series and I was hooked, I have been fortunate to dine at some incredible places and truly love it, not to say “look at me” but more because I love the effort they put in. This was a land mark birthday and anniversary so we pushed the boat out, but as my grandad would have said “my moneys as good as anybody’s” although would probably have also said “ don’t give that foreign jock” he considered oxtail soup a delicacy. Get a bottle of Châteauneuf bought and a nice steak, you can’t go wrong. Part 2 as soon as I get a chance to edit it. Thanks for watching as always pal 👏👏👏😊🇫🇷
Thank you's so very much for taking us along on the first part of your jollies... That place you stopped in night one looked a little special... Crikey and the villa, space enough for a small one..it looked huge.. Thank you for taking one for the team on Ventoux .. I appreciate your efforts and overcoming vertigo... @@BoredManOutdoors Bonjour Mr B, it was a wonderful trip , which is more than can be said for uploading everything to TH-cam, wrong file formats, wrong downloads, crashes, nightmare. It was a wonderful, part 2 of the trip equally good and to follow soon. After doing some research we went the easiest way up Ventoux, the hardest is from Bedoin, which I will go up if we go back. I've got the Gortex Speedgoats, Tito. They're amazing for hiking in summer on dewy, wet ground as long as you don't submerge your entire feet
@@goawoody Hi Chris, I love the speedgoats, they are fantastic, I went for non goretex for the reason you mentioned, I had a bad experience in a goretex type version in a boot pair of speedgoats on a long walk where I went over the top and it felt like my feet were sat in a bath for the last 30 miles😅 the good bit about the non goretex Is they do drain pretty quickly and I didn’t get any blisters, they were a bit damp in morn, but didn’t cause me any issues, all my winter shoes and boots are goretex or leather but I also wear gaitors so don’t get much water in over the top 👍 thanks for watching pal and hope you are well ♥️
Good one Tito and always a treat to camp in such decent weather. The last time I did GSF was in 1990 on the PW so I'm due another trip. LS, I've done a couple of times but just nipped up from the top of the pass. Yes, the Rode mic' I find a bit of a faff too. I tend to use mine most only on extended pauses and at camp. I don't trust myself walking with it on, I'd surely lose it. Good joke and good 'album of the trip'. I don't know the album but I'm a fan of 'Classical Gas' after hearing it on 'The Queen's Gambit' (worth a watch if you've never seen it). I have it on my Spotify playlist. I need to check out the album if other stuff on it is as good. Look forward to your next one pal. ATB, Chris
@@ChrisJB aye up Chris, really enjoyed this one, I liked the walk up GSF but did think you could just hop up from the road to LS, I am not sure it’s visited very much so it’s a good shout for a short walk in from the pass, the rode is excellent, but it’s the turning everything on and off then packing it back away, because as you says it’s nailed on that I’ll lose it, I’ll give the queens gambit a look up, the album is strange but good, definitely recommend.not sure when I’ll next be out Chris but thank you as always for watching ♥️

Fandabbydozy that Tito. I'm quite fond of Baugh Fell and in three visits, have never encountered another soul. Saying that, the West Tarn I've only seen from afar. I noticed you returned via Scale too, which was/is owned by none other than Vince Clarke of Depeche Mode, Yazoo and Erasure fame. It's been nigh on two months since I did a proper wild-camp and I need to get off my arse and get out again. Bye for now, Chris
Hi Chris, sometimes I feel like all I do is follow in your footsteps my friend, but really really enjoyed this one, it was a tough climb and descend also, there’s a house at the bottom of Scale, it looks like there spending a fortune, as I walked Along the river towards scale I was tired and a bit grumpy, this bloke on a quad started beeping is horn to tell me I had deviated off the footpath, I thought I was still on it so did the only thing I could and ignored him😂 as I approached the house this nice lady came out and explained, I apologised and offered to go back, she said not to bother, there was this guy digging out could have been Vince but didn’t recognise him, is the burial ground other side of that small bridge? I do apologise Tito, I don't know how I missed this video. So pleased to have decided to come to your channel to check any new videos. We are kindred spirits in our love and missing of our Grandma's. I had a contrast of types of Grandma, my Dad side was a Woman who was Irish Gypsy, quick with the horse whip and not to be messed with lol. My mums side was Cornish who spoke English and Cornish (Kernewek). As a youngster I used to called her Big Daddy, as she was just like Shirley Crabtree Jr the westler lol She had the same physic, the white hair, but I believe my Grans beard or stubble was greater than the real Big Daddy. Gran fostered during during the war 86 children from London and loved each one dearly. She used to grab hold of me and squash me and give me a big kiss, and my face was always sore from the rough stubble she had on her chin. It mattered not I loved her and miss her greatly. Miss her so much. Great video Tito, and wonderful interesting information you pass along about the area. God bless and keep up the the adventures for all to see! P.S. I really do not understand TH-cam, you deserve a hell of a lot more subscribers! The hiccup joke, I told me wife she love it lol
What a fantastic comment Steve, it’s amazing nobody use to bother about facial hair on women, it was just accepted, my grandma were like extra off last of the summer wine, everything had to be done a certain way, hang your washing out on a Monday, get tea ready before grandad gets home, tend to his every need. Old fashioned, not lots of money but rich in other ways. 86 children that’s incredible, it isn’t until you get older you realise how people have shaped you. Glad your wife liked the hiccup joke, thank you for your kind words, subscribers are like friends, it’s not how many you’ve got it’s the quality that counts, I’ve got some belters and you are one amigo. Loved the video Tito! Interesting information about how the valley was carved out by ice. As for Paul messner, his achilles heel is that his youtube channel is his living. As for most wildcamp youtubers we are free from such, and therefore make videos for either the love of wildcamping or just for fun and long lasting memories of our adventures. For me it is pure enjoyment and I doubt ever will I monitze my videos.
Hi Steve, thank you for your kind words, your channel is the epitome of making you happy, including your many jokes, what PM has done in some ways is remarkable, but as with all fame it comes at a price, like you say most of us don’t have to worry about it. Keep making yourself and us happy Steve. Thank you for watching 😊
Brilliant Tito. I have a real soft spot for that area having mapped the geology between Dufton and Murton Pikes as an undergraduate in 1994. I remember visiting the tarns and Backstone Edge. I might have to shamelessly copy this trip sometime. Perhaps my favourite film of yours. 😎
Hi Chris, really pleased you enjoyed, I have tried to shake up my recording on this trip, mic I think I can get right for next time, but made more of an effort all the way round with trying to capture the landscape, I think it’s a gem of a location as it’s a good path up and a good path down and a bit off piste in the middle which usually means nobody was there which worked a treat, I will deffo go back as my drone didn’t record properly and want to see High Cup Nick in all its glory.thank you for watching as always pal 👏👏😊
Bravo Mr Troddlemaster... A very big day out and about.. I counted two hats n three headbands - you'll be doing merch next..Twas a lovely morning... You gotta be there to get the views.. 😎😎😎.. Thank you for sharing pal.. Massey Boredman International Brown (selectomatic).. 😉
Thank you MBIB, need the headbands to stop the torrent of sweat due to my unfit rotund frame, the camp wasn’t perfect, but the location was, was gonna camp at high cup Nick, but realised as it was on Pennine Way Path it would be busy, this troddle from the path on other side then into No man’s land worked a treat, only had grouse for company, now looking forward to your next offering you do more hops than a highland bunny 🐰 bravo Mon ami 🙏😊👍
No Mulligans?????
Sorry Mate ran out of steam. 😂
