The KDK Collector
Malaysia
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 23 พ.ค. 2017
Hey there! If you're looking for videos related to vintage or older Matsushita fans, you've come to the right place! I've been interested in fans since I was very young, and my most favorite brand is Matsushita (National and KDK, particularly KDK hence my channel name). Most of the fans featured here on my channel are from the Malaysian market, as that's where I'm from. I do collect a few units from other markets tho, but they might be a bit hard to come by.
If you enjoy my videos, please remember to comment, rate and subscribe!!! It's free and it won't cost you a penny. :)
Constructive feedback/criticism is welcomed and I appreciate that, but cyberbullying, spamming and trolling will NOT be tolerated on this channel, if I see any mean or nasty comments I will not hesitate to block you, because I want my videos and comment section to be peaceful.

1979 KDK 40BMG 16" Table Fan
Here is a 1979 KDK 40BMG table fan that I got from my local thrift store last month. Went back to my hometown before my new job starts, and as always I decided to go thrifting at my local thrift store, and I wasn't disappointed!
This 40BMG caught my attention, because it seems to be in really good condition for its age! But of course it's 45 years old, there are some signs that show its age. For instance, there are some minor cracks on the motor cover, and the original neck joint broke off so it had to be replaced with another one from a different fan (You could tell it definitely isn't Matsushita!). Nevertheless, these factors weren't really a deal breaker for me, as the overall condition of the fan itself and the vibrant label and visible serial number makes up for its flaws, and those flaws also give it some character!
These old Matsushitas are like roaches (in a good way ofc), as they refuse to die even if age or the elements hit them. It is very powerful on all speeds, just as what I expected it to perform! Its performance is comparable to its twin brother which I filmed earlier this year. It has my favorite "Powerful Classic Motor" (a nickname coined by me and @TheMatsushitaMan for Matsushita fans equipped with this motor).
Another reason why I got this fan is because I had its sister model (30BMG) long ago, but unfortunately my maid junked it without my permission when I was going to repair it, so this felt like a spiritual replacement to it! Since they're both teal and from 1979 too.
The 40BMG was first introduced in 1978, as part of the 1978 KDK G Series fan family. They are essentially a facelift of the 1976 J Series (which I'm hoping to acquire in the future). The 1978 G Series fans were made from 1978-1980/81, and they were the final mainstream Matsushita general fans in the Malaysian market that come equipped with metal blades, since they have been replaced with plastic blades in 1981. Its National counterpart would be the F-40NMK, which is also one of my favorites!

มุมมอง 1.5Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Finally, after waiting for a couple of years, I’ve finally got myself one of these 90s National box fans! I thrifted it at my local thrift store a few months ago, and I was very stoked to see it there, as box fans don’t end up there often, let alone Matsushita ones like this! I knew I had to get it despite it being badly yellowed (it’s 30 years old after all, so). One thing that’s peculiar abou...

Here is a 1971 KDK 30BKU 12" table fan that I got from my local thrift store a few months ago. There's an interesting backstory when I thrifted this fan. When I first saw it at my local thrift store, it caught my attention! However there was another fan from around the same time (a 1969 National F-40XW stand fan) that caught my attention too. However, due to my budget, I could only pick one bet...

Here's my 1992 KDK KB30J 12" table fan that I got from my local thrift store last year. I was so mesmerized by its condition, and I knew I had to take it home, plus it's in my favorite color, blue! It didn't come with its original blade initially. Thankfully I thrifted an original 1992 Matsushita 30cm (12") blade from the same thrift store some time ago, so I was able to restore it to its origi...

Here is a 2010 KDK KU308 wall fan that's located in the pantry of my second house. It's been there ever since we moved in. We bought it from a distant relative who used to open an electrical appliance store (which is now defunct sadly), and to my surprise it was one of the KDK fans that were still available at that time, considering how quickly they run out of stock! 30cm (12") wall fans are qu...

Happy National Ceiling Fan Day everyone!!! On this special day, I've decided to showcase one of my most favorite KDK remote ceiling fans, the KY143! It is also one of my childhood fans. I got it at my local thrift store back in 2018, and it initially came with a faulty PCB as it was spinning rather slowly. Then last year I thrifted another KY143 (it was a 2006 model btw) there and I've thought ...

Spotted this at the prayer hall in the same temple where I filmed that near mint F-MX403. This is the second iteration model which is still being sold today. The KX405 was facelifted in 2009 to commemorate with KDK's centennial anniversary, however not much has changed since then. Hopefully Panasonic Corp. could replace it soon, or at least give it another facelift! Specs of this fan: Brand: KD...

When I first saw it at my local thrift store, I immediately fell in love with it, you could say it was love at first sight! I asked the owner if he was willing to let it go, since there isn't a price tag labeled on it and they were using it themselves. Since the owner of my lo...

Thankfully the Chinese New Year holidays gave me the chance to film this long-awaited remake! I got this fan fro...
Quick video: 1992 National F-MT402 stand fan
มุมมอง 2.1K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is a quick video of a stand fan that I would be selling soon… I’m currently in the middle of downsizing my fan collection and I decided to let go of this guy. Yes it’s an early 90s Matsushita, however it has the undersized logo which I’m not a fan of (no pun intended), and plus the base faceplate is missing so I don’t really see a point of keeping it anymore.

Excelente video Tengo un KDK parecido a este. El mío, la hélice es de color azul. Lo tengo del año 1985. Saludos desde Venezuela.
And cover panasonic
Good condition canopies and blades! Those blades especially caught my attention due to it being 1 of my favorite design and that it is rare
that kdk is from 2002, the label says so, it is not from 2010
I just got an Instant Stop KDK Fan. I will make a video of it once I get it!
Why is this fan so slow?!?! Or just me. I had the my153s and m56rgs spin like helicopters. Not overclocked, just stock.
Sky blue is a sprunki
Oh Damn
What a nice fan! I hope to get one in the future.
congrats on 500 subs, i just reached 500 too haha. glad you found such a rare gem in pristine condition!
Is this a fake Panasonic?
I don't know that much.
@DancewithJohnNLRaddy-761g ok

Muy bonito ventilador vintage
Very rare national
Yeah, even my 1983 F-306RP isn't safe from those louver hits, it is quite annoying. This is why I usually preferred ones with the synchronous motors. But overall I love these Matsushita box fans! Very nice.
Cif cleaner would help with the body, but dont add too much
If you want to skip me rambling: Still louver Speed 1: 4:15 Speed 2: 4:38 Speed 3: 4:58 Rotating louver Speed 1: 5:55 Speed 2: 6:25 Speed 3: 6:47
Wow nice i like classic design
Definitely stiff! Would benefit from a good bearing flushing and oiling.

Frosty blue? Interesting. I don't remember this model being available in that colour. I love it. On your photos it seems a little more like slate blue. I believe this model is not very common in this size either. The proportions are very nice. I wish current KDK still had actual blade arms with rivets. How come you refer to it as she and her? Hehe!
This is the first time I've seen a blue KDK, since they don't sell that color and that model of KDK here in the Dominican Republic, and I didn't know that KDK had a blue version. I only knew that there was white, black, gray, and brown, but blue? I didn't know that blue existed, and the models they sell here in the Dominican Republic are M56LG, A56XG, N56LG, B56X5, N56YG.
Wow nice
Thanks!

I never thought KDK ever made fans other than the colors black, brown and absolute white...now I just found this.
Now you know! It’s a rarer model, so it’s not surprising that u didn’t know about it
Congratulations for reaching 500 subscribers!! I think this is the most unique ceiling fan that KDK made, i really love the Frosty blue colour 😍. Hope you can get the pink one too!
Thanks bro! And yea IKR? Me too! I loved it since I was a kid, it was one of my dream fans 😍 Hopefully! Then I can install it in my sister’s room.

Congrats for the milestone! Can’t wait to see this fan running!

@@chewjuliana8555 you can actually get them on Shopee or at the Panasonic service centers. Just search for “KDK fan blade” or “Panasonic fan blade” and you’ll see the results. Hope this helps!

@waddappok6439 3 year warranty and the motor always dies after that particular year
