0:13 it's not because for "some reason" They never promised 3rd kits in any game, why are you acting like it's something they owe you? Plus they suffered from development hell, having the game pushed back, and even post-launch content being delayed or scrapped, likely because they also need to start work for the next splatoon game for the switch 2. Nintendo would almost certainly be demanding a significant uplift to they game's looks and resolution to show off the new hardware, which means making most assets from scratch. 4:43 what in the world are you talking about? They didn't do it in order of weapon classes at all. New Squiffer, custom eliter, and bamboozler mk 2 all took forever to come out, during the last couple seasons. They heavily preferred shooters, because the devs have a shooter bias, yes, but they released 2nd kits semi-randomly (they wanted to do a splatoon 1 themed update adding kraken royale, and related Splatoon 1 reference kits alongside it, then a Splatoon 2 themed updates with triple splashdown alongside it's host of reference kits). Small addition, 4:52 you make it aound like its an opinionated thing that *8 kits* after waiting multiple months wouldnt be enough, because yea, it doesnt take 3 months to slap on a color and click 2 button to make a weapon kit, and then a tiny bit of play testing, which they obviously dont do much of considering the power levels and quality of some kits in the game, like custom goo not being suited for it's playstyle at all. 5:50 no it's not the only reason they would've done that. You have to be on unbelievable amounts of copium to believe there's enough evidence that the devs *gotta* add kits. Always remember Occam's razor, where answers can always be explained in a more simpler way. The devs just wanted to encourage ppl to 1 star weapons to try out new playstyles perhaps, as you can fall in love with a weapon after a few games.

I think its unfair saying splatoon 3 launch weapon wise is better than splatoon 1 not having every class at the beginning of the game because, well, what other classes was there in its predecessor? splatoon 1 was THE beginning of this franchise, a kind of rushed game that went though messy development, needing to be released asap to put games on a failing console. S2 had no excuse however. the game could have waited a month or two to make sure brella's and the 3 missing splatoon 1 weapons (bamboo, range blaster and hydra splatting) were in the game. also worth noting, brushes were not their own weapon class when added to S1, and never became officially labelled as its own class until S3

Don't feel too bad. For what it's worth, all of your analysis and theories were correct; the one flaw was that we forgot how much people love the Squid Sisters. Honestly, I was OK with these results. If Future couldn't win, I'm glad Past got it. Just something to make "Splatoon 4" more different.

NGL I felt pissed after not getting even a single pity point. I had 1 x333,4 x100s and god knows how many x10s so to only be washed left me in a depressive state for hours,even before results. Still am now btw
