Just a guy who loves talking about the stories within amazing video games.
This is a place for me to create content I love, and to shed light on Gospel themes found within video games !

Finding Meaning In Nier Automata's Meaningless World
I finally played Nier Automata. I knew Nier was a special game, but I never thought its themes and messages would hit me so hard and embed itself so much into my mind. So here is yet another Nier Automata video essay to celebrate this incredible experience of a video game.

Understanding Elden Ring's World Design

Your final message with “hardest to be” in the background goes so hard dude
i never found out about the game until 2023 due to the anime, i 100% completed the game after the anime, truly a 10/10 game, luckily didnt experience the pre patch game
I would like to play V on the secuel. I don't like the idea of him dying after six months in the best ending...
I read somewhere that yoko taro designed the entire game Backwards from that final moment and the Impact he wanted it to have on Players. it totally worked. Before ending E, the game was good, but didn't really have much to say except "there is no meaning in life, no matter where you seek it". But when that chorus Starts chanting the weight of the world... I can't even begin to describe what I felt in that moment. I'd love to see you talk about outer wilds, the only game that has impacted me more than nier automata
I 100% want to make a video on outer wilds, I have no idea where I’d even start with it though ha.
As I watch this, I was about to return to room 204 once again........
Hey man sorry this isnt going to relate to this video. I am currently in the progress of making my cyberpunk assay basically, and loved yours. Did you have any issues with copyrighting when you used the game music? And if not how did you include it without getting a strike. Thanks man!
hey! somehow I didn't run into any issues at all, after YT did its copyright check it didn't find any problems. I think it's probably b/c I used snippets and it enough in the background most of the time! but for the main tracks, it seems like its fair use. Have fun working on your essay choom!
@@ashortginger Thank you, i would be very happy if its as half as good as yours!
i have over 10 saves with well over 100 hours on each, and two tattoos :P
nice! what tattoos did you get if you don't mind me asking?
I’ll admit…. I’ve played many games and Cyberpunk is by far the best game ever. I have played this game since its release on PS4. Went through all the updates. Got the PS5 so I could play it on a better system. And still playing it today. To me it’s just a great story and it does suck you into the world to where you forget where you are for the time you are playing. I can’t wait till the next cyberpunk comes out. Phantom Liberty was just as good if not better than the base and they should have created another one on top of that. One thing I hate about the game is that it’s too short for me on the main quest and PL but still a great play.
actually communication between altars internally is 100% possible
sometimes you can sometimes you can't it can depend on the Altar and the system and what point of healing you're at and probably other things that are above my level of knowledge
although it's not the kind of look in the mirror and talk to yourself in the mirror type thing it's more just like having a dialogue with yourself
Another killer video lad!!
CDPR's biggest quality is character development. all the characters are so believable and good. something few studios get right these days. it shows they are just focused on writing characters to fit the world, and don't care about injecting real world agenda's.
shared suffering :)
For some reason I can't bring myself to finish the main story still, I've done 3 playthroughs so far and everytime I have to meet hanako at embers I just can't lol
This game is everything I ever wanted in a game, and more, I’ve put over 1300+ hours into on my PC alone, and 250+ hours on console.. I love this game, I absolutely love the game, and I never want it to end- out of all those hours? I have not beat the game as of yet, and I refuse to do so- because, I don’t want to see the end. I know I can continue to play it many times as I want, but I’ve done 7 play throughs, trying different builds, running different ideas, and path choices, and not once have I visited Hanako at Embers, I just can’t… I feel like I haven’t earned that right, as of yet, I want to be so flawless with my gameplay, that I play that part like real life.. I want to feel like I’ve found my complete self at that point.. I know that sounds stupid, and beyond insane, but I absolutely love this game. The mods make it even more phenomenal than it already is too. I’m typing this comment while playing it on my PC, and I never get bored, but once.. I love hearing the NPCs talk, and traveling looking around at the city during the day, and night.. I have gotten to the point where I sob like a baby at Jackie’s funeral, it hurts so bad talking to his mother, and it feels so personal.. I’m tearing up now, dammit, I’m tearing up now just reminiscing on the memories of V & Jackie, and I wish we got to play together longer in this game.. I just want to live in this city, and I get so angry at some of these side missions, due to how evil some are- from the PDF trafficking ring, and the corporate scum that ran over the young promising life of a child, the hardworking parent who got dismissed due to the corporate scum’s money, and insurance package.. but I also smile so huge when reconnecting a failing marriage, because the husband thinks she’s cheating, but to find out she’s insecure- and, they truly love each other. So much more, and JUDY!!!!! RIVERS!!! My god I cried like a baby with that mission.. my God such great writing!!! I cried seeing Judy leaving.. I feel like I know these individuals.. This game is such a phenomenal piece of art! I promise this is THE GREATEST GAME IVE EVER PLAYED!! I’m not even scratching the surface with my assessment either.. so much I want to say, and talk about.. But! This video summed it up in a way. This game is breathtaking, beautiful, and horrifying, but I LOVE IT!!
Luke 9:24 whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will find it
I loved Anthem on launch, then people uncovered the thing with the stats being faked, nerfing you the more you upgraded to make the game gradually get harder so you felt like things were scaling up. On top of everything leading up to release, like most people, I put it down waiting for the update that never came. Unfortunately I was the only person i know who liked the game, cus I would have liked to play more than the 109 hours I apparently put in.. Maybe if we're all really lucky someone a bit more competent will pick the IP up and revive it with a game that gets to be what this had the potential and promise to be..
I'm glad I'm not alone. 1500hrs so far an still going strong. I've even started 3D modeling some of my own Cyberpunk 2077 style cars and characters for which I'm trying to come up with stories for.
Loving the video so far. Just wanted to say keep up the good work!
@@WegotSkillIssues thank you! Appreciate it :)
I'm a bit late to the party. I started playing Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time a few weeks ago (2024). I remember the game being rough at launch, but thankfully I did not run into odd issues during my playthrough, since I'm apparently playing the 2.0 version of the game, after a lot of aspects seemed to have been fixed. A lot of friends I know that played the game keep telling me they can't wait to have another playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077. They always seem like they couldn't wait to get back to Night City, and now I see why--The story, the world, the setting, the characters, are amazing, and I think I'm near the end of the game now to where I will miss it when it's all over. It's for sure a game I'll be playing again in the future after my first playthrough.
despite the bugs and terrible performance, winter break 2020 was great, because of Cyberpunk
If you’ve played Nier, what was your experience ?
I recently picked it up on gamepass, simply for 2B's ass. I was not expecting the emotional rollercoaster that came with it. I finally decided, today, to jump back into it, and get the final ending, chapter skipping to finish the fight as A2. After a couple deaths, I got up to smoke a butt, and continued listening to this video. You uploaded this yesterday my dude. For all my faults, I try to find meaning in scripture and trust in GOD. I jumped back in to finish this game, and ended up listening to your video, in the same way you were reading Ecclesiastices and playing this game around the same time. GOD directs us in ways we can't understand, but I trust it played out this way for a reason. I'm gonna finish this credits shootout, delete my saves, and help others. Take care brother
Yeah I'm on my fourth playthrough. I'll stop for a month or two but always end up hoping back in.
i love that you said “mayhaps”
When I saw another video of your's that mentioned you were playing this, I knew it would be a matter of time before we got this video. Nier Automata just hits hard. P.S This game plays great on Steam Deck for those lucky people who have one.
I played the game for 40 hours at release, about a third of the main story. 4 Years later, I'm starting the game again, with a new save, and above all, a new PC (with a RTX 4070). My best friend did the same and is about to finish the game and told me "dude please, just play the game again, it's something!". I've never stopped playing because I didn't like it, but rather because it was so good that I prefered to wait to get the perfect conditions to play it right. So now is the time. I launched my new save yesterday, and man... It was something. It is so alive. It might be the only open world game that I want to truly explore every location, not because there are some shitty side quests or collectables there but rather because I just want to see what is there. Everything is so beautiful, every sight is a landscape. The sounds of this lively city are incredibly immersive. Sometimes I just stay at one place and look at the scenery for 15 minutes... I don't know how many hours I will spend living in this incredible world, but for sure, I am about to be VERY obsessed.
Woooo cant wait to watch this!
Japan town is amazing back in my military days,I lived in Okinawa for four years. My friend and I went to mainland Japan for a 96 Liberty. We were in downtown Tokyo wanting to get in a club, however it was very expensive. My friend and me climbed the back of the tall building via stairs , jumped to the other building,it was very high up,yet very close to each other. We went in a back door and enjoyed the club, for free. Now,at 51 , I’m reliving that moment thanks to cyberpunk.
Just finished it over the weekend. Can’t stop thinking about it. Huge impact, and ruined many games on my ‘to finish’ list. I left it from launch on my pc, so it’s been a slow start 😅. But 4090 enjoyed it
I think we need to start a petition to get this game back
I felt the same way for skyrim.
Greatest game ever made imho
♥️
This game is everything despite everything
animations, flights, world, combat system, graphics, even optimization - the basic part of the game is great, it’s a pity that they couldn’t create an interesting content, dream is a full-fledged MMORPG based on it, PVP battles in the sky, under water, dreams
When CP2077 came out, the consoles had problems, but the majority of sales were on PC, where there were few problems. I play on PC only, so I know what I'm talking about! The media goes way over the top saying how bad CP2077 was at the start. They do it with No Man's Sky, too!
This video was so good i watched it twice. 🍻
I’ve loved the game since day 1. Played it chugging frames on Xbox one. Built my first pc to play it, and played it on 720p on a 1050ti since the scalping was absurd at the time. And I play it now. The world is captivating, the characters are fantastic, the sounds are perfect. The DLC is just as fantastic as the base game. I can barely put it into worlds how much I love the game. It’s the best ever imo❤
This game has completely engulfed me, honestly. I played it when it first came out in the PS4, and even though it was in a "bad" state let's be honest, it broke me. All of these emotions you just don't find somewhere else. This dystopian universe, so sooo detailed everywhere, just takes you in for a ride that you don't forget. I few days ago, I bought it again on my PC with the DLC and man is it an improvement. I rediscovered everything, and more, you know with the apartments and the missions. I still haven't finished the DLC and I fear I have already been spoiled (i stopped this video when it started to talk about it). I can't wait to discover the whole story but at the same time I already fear the time where I will have finished the main story, so much so that I catch myself not wanting to play it for that exact reason some evenings. This game has truly scared me (in a good ? way). Also the music. I mean there is what, at least a hundred legit songs in the game, and everything is perfect, I am on loop on the SAMURAI album and Dawid Podsiadło's songs and It's takes me in everyday into the mood X).
Thanks babe. I am happy to be starting this game right now after it has been fixed since it's rough launch. This video is just making me more excited to dive into Night City!
Loved the video! So cool!
I just watched that second time. Still obsessed after 3 years.
New age, same problems.
this video was amazing. i was blown away by the professionality this video had compared to how little your channel was. Just recently got ABSOLUTELY roped into cb2077. Finished my first playthrough about a week ago and got the panam ending and really didn’t explore much and just worried about the main content of the game itself and still thought this game was a masterclass. After watching more and more videos like this i’ve come to realize this game is amazing. Endless opportunities. Keep it up man i’m definitely subscribing after this!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it and 2077 choom :)
"Cyberpunk 2077 wasn’t just a game to me-it was a lived experience. The world felt so real, and the people in it weren’t just characters; they felt like they had actual lives, with real struggles and stories that stayed with me. There was this constant weight in Night City, like nothing could ever really be fixed, no happy endings in sight. It was full of despair and sadness, but at the same time, you’d find these tiny moments of warmth and hope, just enough to keep going, even if you knew it couldn’t last. Finishing Panam's ending and taking the Basilisk out of Night City left me feeling drained, like I couldn’t go back. It’s not that I didn’t love the world, but that it had taken too much out of me. There’s a sense that I owe it to the characters to just let them rest. Jackie’s death still haunts me; the way Misty kept going, holding on to whatever she could; Evelyn’s life unraveling into tragedy; Judy trying to find something to hold onto after Evelyn was gone; Delamain leaving with his children, his voice echoing one last time before disappearing from the city; Johnny and Alt fading beyond the Blackwall, knowing they’d never come back; River trying to hold his family together; Takemura’s fate uncertain, like he was another casualty of the city's unforgiving nature; Rogue still chasing a life that had slipped away long ago; Saul’s death, Scorpion’s loss-it all left this emptiness. These weren’t just moments in a game; they felt real, and it was like I was mourning people I knew. And V… V with Panam and the Aldecaldos, trying to make a life out in the desert, away from the chaos. It feels like they’ve all been through enough, like they deserve a break from it all, even if they’re just game characters. It’s hard to imagine putting them through that again, and it feels like starting over would only be a reminder of everything they lost. I want to let them move on, to leave behind all the things Night City took from them and find some peace, however small. I’ve never felt this way about a game before. RDR2 was emotional and close to my heart, but Cyberpunk felt different-it felt deeply personal. I wasn’t just following a story; I was there, feeling it with them. Now, I just want to let them go, to let the city and everything that happened stay in the past. It’s like I need to let them rest and finally leave it all behind. Cyberpunk made me feel human in a way I didn’t expect."
I played the game in like 2020 and I actually really liked it. I get where the issues were but the movement was my main enjoyment. Figuring out how to go super fast as that one nimble class (idr the names) fulfilled my fantasy of super mobility.
I love the world of cyberpunk
