Allen Parr has a great video on his channel about can Christians listen to secular music, and I hope that can be encouraging to you obviously my channel is all about movies and a lot of times I will use movies to illustrate a biblical point. My wife supposedly told my daughter that my daughter is going to hell because my daughter doesn’t have the same religious habits that my wife has! I like that you are asking questions about religion, examining the Bible and other reference materials, and are openly seeking a better relationship with God. My daughter doesn’t value any of the means of grace (John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Church, preached that Prayer, Bible study, Fellowship, Worship, Fasting, Baptism…… were the best way to nourish a relationship with God.) She has a lot of issues with her mother and does not want to be like her. Also, I wish that we could FaceTime with our daughter and discuss relevant topics as often as you post content about your journey. Maybe I should encourage my daughter to start a TH-cam Channel so we can get to know her better!

      @@tedhazlett I'm really sorry that the relationship is suffering. I will definitely pray. Have you thought of trying to reach out to her and use the character of Jesus as a way to her heart? Sometimes people struggle to relate to certain parts of the godhead, and sometimes if people have had religion used against them, they may have an easier time connecting to Jesus principally, instead of God the Father.

You've touched on several long standing questions that have been on people's minds for millennia--all in a single video in the yard with the neighbor mowing the lawn! I've been thinking about these things for decades, and it will take me many videos to get it all documented. For many people science creates doubt rather than faith in God, but for me it is the profound beauty of mathematics and science that reveals God. We suffer as much if not more than others and its supposed to be like this but we are ALSO beyond the curse and will live forever but its not always going to be peachy keen. If you want to maximize your feeling of Gods presence sing praises to him with your mouth not just in your head.

    Okay taking every though captive simply means if a thought comes that is not of the scriptures or seems like it is a little bit but something about it is just not right( like positivity and negativity) just toss it out call it what it is even if the devil bugs you over and over about it, its done and the dead horse will still stink!

  • @AaronWolfenbarger
    @AaronWolfenbarger 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Get rid of the positivity negativity thing its eastern philosophy devilish seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, there is only good and evil and we cant do good apart from Christ jesus. If you believe Jesus is the messiah foretold to come according to the scriptures then youre saved. Being saved has three tenses, When you believe, profess and trust in Christ jesus you are justified by faith and the penalty of sin is removed from you ( wages of sin is death) and you passed from death to life, then comes the life long sanctification where the power of sin is gradually removed from you and it has ups and downs, then when we die or rapture we have the presence of sin removed from us. So whatever moment by moment youre going through it will work to your good. So dont sweat it sweetie!

  • @AaronWolfenbarger
    @AaronWolfenbarger 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Okay so overwhelmed did you know that when God "cut the covenant" with Abram that he put him into a sleep and walked the figure 8 around the cloven animal sacrifices himself? Ya God did everything, there was NO stipulations on Abraham and there is none on you except that you believe, If Abraham you or I HAVE stipulations then we will screw it up everytime. ANYONE who believes will have the same as Abraham. He wasnt perfect but he believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness. So STOP trying to do it yourself you cannot do it and it will always overwhelm you. Just believe in the finished work of Yeshua and live in that and yes study the bible so that you have these tools. Be beloved of God and believe.

  • @AaronWolfenbarger
    @AaronWolfenbarger 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Ya well were never going to arrive. Even in Heaven we are ALWAYS going to be ever learning more of Gods riches of mercy and grace we will be delivered from the presence of sin in us even but we will always remember what He did for us in fact it is written "what are these scars and he says these are the wound I have taken in the house of my friends" the scars and not just nail marks and spear but in Isaiah it says they plucked out my beard so his face is also horribly scarred even beyond that what he went through spiritually on the cross when he said my God My God why hast thou forsaken me the answer he already knew because he had to when he became sin for us. God had to turn away from his own son and let him die in order to ransom us. So when I get all whiney and selfish like I am and say 'you don;t love me just look at all this crap day in day out with no rest and never a day off" I get reminded of that very thing I just typed and i feel sorrow over it and shame but since you're sharing I thought it a bad example to not share in kind. So try to recall that and maybe it will help you too. I have to go now toil calls! Thank you.

When the Romans started persecuting Christians ( they didnt a first it was his own people and inheritance that did at first) they would use them as human torches to light their chariot races at night and those being immolated would die singing praises to God. THAT I don't have and despite the MANY trials of my days I have suffered nothing like that.

Failure I can tell you ALL about that but then just this morning after complaining the night before about how this and this is like he doesnt even care because its so unfair and then here he is and in his presence everything is okay and then i get up for work and its all difficult again and its because of the hardness of us. We are born died in the wool haters of God through and through and we have an encounter with God and it changes us but ther eis also the old nature warring within us and THAT is why these things are happening. A week or so ago I was heading to the pop isle to grab some soda, and there was an older gentlemen just walking up to the water bottles..so I offered to help put it in his cart, then i grabbed my soda and moved on. I saw that as his timing...or at the very least..his oppertunity to do something for him and for other people. Please don’t be discouraged. In the several events in my life that I now consider miracles , there were periods of hopelessness that I needed to endure beforehand. When you asked the Holy Spirit into your Heart, your body became a temple and God is always with you. You do not need to continually read the Bible, preach, or fast to EARN His assistance and approval. God likes to give you things that you do not deserve. I believe that God has a plan for your life and will give you what you need when you least expect it.

I would suggest to stick with your Bible reading, even if it means dropping the challenges or anything else. Just read for reading's sake. Free yourself up from any obligation concerning the Bible other than to know it's God's word, and hearing His word is how our faith grows. Organized religion makes people put a false self over who they really are at their core, because of the rules and regulations that come with it. No one is the same, and u cannot organize any 2 peoples truest self. Organized Religion is toxic. For example, i dont agree with the whole 10 commandments. I feel murder is justified in certain circumstances, as in life for a life, an eye for an eye. I feel that disobeying your parents is necessary when you hit 18 to have your own life and personality. Rebellion gives us our individuality and autonomy, rebellion is an IMPORTANT period to go through.

Then they put her in a home and said I couldnt get her out to take care of her until I have this that and the other, So i again prayed for a hospital bed and then I looked for one and got it almost brand new for 150 bucks and the lady even gave my inconinece pads permanant ones, she needed a vehicle with a lift in it for doctor appointments and I prayed again and I got a van with a working lift for 500 bucks. There is NO dissapointment when I pray, nothing harms me either. I have poision ivy rash on me now and it doesnt bother me at all I get it everyday because its on the tree near my motorcycle yet i dont itch, I get bit by spiders and snakes and nothing happens to me and its ALL because of who he is and not of myself at all. What DOES disappoint me is people and when I try to tell them how it really is and they dont believe me they reject me and its okay because they first rejected him. I have good days and bad days I still sin but I confess and repent and if I get to straying away he whips me and I love him for it because the alternative is so horrific! I have gratitude not disappointment.

    Organized religion leaves a bad taste in many mouths. To begin with, hundreds of denominations all teaching a different version is problematic. A lot of religious folk are extremely judgemental. Many people often use the Bible to basically beat people up with. Also, I believe that people get turned off by a poor interpretation of God, which is put out their by the differing religions. Protestants essentially claim that you're saved by faith, then go on with a long list of do's & don'ts (no rock 'n roll, no "Harry Potter," etc) Sometimes I feel that the most religious, particularly ministers, miss the entire point of Christianity as a valid, spiritual path. Just my opinion. Interesting discussion!
