I'm still in the middle of your video but I want to say I admire your gumpshon. I think it's great that you tryign to find him by being as real as you can. I want to encourage you to keep going because no doubt there will be a "light" at the other end...at least thats what I believe. Thank you also for reponding to my comments as well :) will, of course will ask him to keep guiding you and show you something very real.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your prayers, support, and compliments. I plan to keep going because I felt like God led me to do this, so I will until He tells me otherwise :)

I tried to leave a couple different comments, but they quickly get deleted for some reason.

I haven't deleted any comments, but I noticed one on an older video went to review for some reason. I kept it and responded though! I think it must be the comment setting I have, but it shouldn't be deleting.

@tedhazlett I got a message from TH-cam saying that it’s a widespread issue that comments are disappearing, but they are working on it!

Your bedroom/closet door has a deadbolt lock on it in place of a doorknob? I was advised many years ago (when I was about your age) that if I was looking for God to examine the relationships in my life.

Can you elaborate more about the purpose behind examining relationships?

@@iconaclastica There is a famous painting called “The Light of the World” that is artist William Hunt’s interpretation of Rev. 3:30. The painting shows Jesus knocking on a door that has no doorknob and needs to be opened from the inside to let Him in. This is in contrast to a couple of your videos that seem to show you knocking on Jesus’ door but there is a locked deadbolt on your side of the door.
Concerning relationships, Jesus said that Loving God and Loving others as yourself is what having a relationship with God is all about.
My mother and I have always had issues with each other. After I invested a lot of time and money attending college (40 years ago), I only received one minimum wage job offer so I moved back in with my parents and my pipefitter father got me a job through his union. I worked full time on construction, attended apprenticeship school three days per week, and my mother thought that it was her job to find me chores to do and offer me unsolicited advice if she ever saw me sitting down. I also had a lockbox in the bedroom that I slept in to try to prevent my mother from reading my mail, letters that I was writing, or anything else personal that she might find.
You started one of your videos by saying “I grew up in a Christian home, but it was not always very Christian in behavior “ Maybe our lives are the same in that God thought it better that we deal with relationship issues with our parents instead of starting new lives alone in a distant city (I did finally make it to North Carolina, but 35 years after I had planned.)

Wow, Ted. I really appreciate you sharing this story. It really hit on something I feel like God has been working on in my heart recently. Thank you for having the boldness and vulnerability to be able to share something so personal to encourage me and give me a new perspective. It really means a lot!
