Nice video buddy, heading to Loudenvielle this week for some mountain biking in our Motorhome hopefully we can get a park up in the same place you🤞as it’s an ideal location
Thanks for watching 🙂 you will have a great time!!! It is one of my all time favourite places 👍 That aire is perfect, also have a session in the spa it's amazing 😉
Looking forward to trying this next month!
Thanks for watching 🙂 I hope you enjoy it as much as I did🤙🙂
I love Mabie, I live near by and I've been riding it for 25 years.
Thanks for watching 🙂 You are really lucky to have these trails on your doorstep!!! 😁 🤙
rode dalbeattie a few times back in the day with my old club - the woollybacks. we used to go up for a weekend once a year and do dalbeattie on the friday. have to admit to a wry smile when you thought you had done the slab, and it was just the qualifier. been down in the wet and stopping at the bottom is a challenge. are the terrible twins still there? that was harder than the slab imo.
Thanks for watching 🙂 I have to laugh at myself when I watch it back and then see the slab🤣😂 I bet it's a bit dodgy in the wet!! Not sure about the terrible twins 😶
this place is amazing love it, deffo a go to bike trail in the uk
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 One of my favourite blues in the UK!!
Man eating Vultures those big birds were 😉
😂🤣😂 that's what I thought 😜
Great vid thanks! Visiting here end of May for the first time, looking forward to it.
Thanks for watching! Hope you have a great time! 😁🤙🏼
Live near by definitely going down when I get my new bike
Have a great session!!!
Too much pressure on a seatpost? Really? You forgot that sitting a 80kg boddy on it is much more force (not a pressure btw) on a seatpost?
There is a difference between sitting on a seat post as it is designed to do and trying to bend one in half as towing a bike attached to the seat and pulling it backwards. In my opinion, If you have used one for towing and not had any issues then please let me know?
Looks great! Coming to 7 stanes area in next june for 3.5 days from the Netherlands. We like gnarly xc rides and bikepark stuff, and natural trails like the red trails you feature. Which Stanes / trails would you pick for a 3.5 day trip?
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I would say Glentress, Kirroughtree and AE or Dalbeatie for the third option 👍 I hope this helps 😁🤙
@@SearchMTB yes experience review is very welcome! Thanx!
@FedBiker no worries 😁 have a great trip!!
Done the green trail out of the trail centre but never done the green back to Laggan Wolftrax, nice trail looked like fun thanks for sharing 😁
Thanks for watching! Definitely worth it for the views! 😊
Great video! 😉
What time of year was this? We will be there in September but I’m worried it might be too wet
Hi, this was actually at the beginning of October and we had had a fair bit of rain. The trails were great, not too boggy or slippery. Thanka for watching 😄
Great video. Just what we need before our visit. Could do without the 1970s disco though.
Thanks for watching 🙂 We are heading up to Glentress to check out all the new trails and have a go at the black🙂🤙 Don't worry, I'm saving all my 70's Disco for my headphones in future, not for my MTB videos 🤣😂🤣😂😜
Was there last month enjoyed my ride round Alpha Red Descent, plenty of rock features and had aa fun blast round the jump lines, great video thannks ofr sharing! 😁🤙
It's great there! Heading back soon to ride the new blue and maybe try the black! Thanks for watching 😀
Fyi its pronounced Kir-roch-tree (the ch is sounded as in "loch")
Thanks for watching👍🙂 I appreciate the help with the pronunciation, it is a bit tricky to get it right sometimes 👍
@@SearchMTB We love to make things hard to pronounce up here!
😂🤣🤙
Aviemore looking spectacular in the sunshine!
Yes, we were so lucky with the weather, it was awesome! 😎
Loved this video and can't wait to try out those trails!!
They are amazing!!! One of my favourite places to ride in Scotland 🙂👍
Thank you for this video! I was here on holiday last year and was quite unsure about the trails being how difficult they would be for me as a beginner ❤
Ahh you are welcome! 😊 Definitely one of the better trails for beginners in Scotland! Well worth a try if you go back!
Just wanted to say I loved this video as a beginner hope to see more of ur videos too. I am thankful to be near glentress and visit regularly ❤
Ahh thank you! 😊 Hopefully I can inspire a few people to give it a go! I'll be heading back up to Glentress this year hopefully and planning on doing some more riding in and around that area. It's a great spot! 😄
Excellent video. It's a wee while since I have been up there. I must give it a visit next time I am up that way. Cheers. Stoozer (New Sub). 👍🏻
Thanks for watching and subscribing 🙂🤙 I wish I had it near me😉 it's a great day out!!
Yes looked like you really enjoyed it. Cheers. Stoozer. 🤠@@SearchMTB
Nothing wrong with getting off and pushing… enjoyment over achievement… that’s my motto!!!
Thanks! 😁
They are improving as they go. 1st time I went there were no berms! Next visit they had added them. Helicopters are expensive to move material and they took advantage of WC improvements to put material on the hill. Build team is pretty small. Expert bikers are few in number so it makes sense to make cash from average folk. I took my Nephew and he loved it. Still enough for me to enjoy. You can get in 9 runs and lunch and afternoon tea if you don't hang about. If you have never been to Alps then it would be good Training.
I definitely agree I'm glad you have seen improvements every time you have been 👍 I think there is a lot of potential! I really enjoyed my day there and will definitely be back 😁 I'm glad your Nephew had a great session too👍
That orange is just the best!
Definitely agree!!! One of my favourite trails in Scotland 😉
We love this place! so fantastic and quiet! the climb is so nice! hope you popped round to chanonry point to see the dolphins!
I will definitely be back to session the orange trail!!!! The main reason we went there was so my wife could see the dolphins 😁 We were really lucky, we saw them a couple of times 😉👍
You would have liked the off piste trails from the trail head.
Thanks for watching 🙂🤙 Yes , I didn't have enough time to check them out 😕 I will definitely ride them next time I'm up there 😁👍
Great video. I wanna ride it now.
Thanks for watching 🙂🤙 Me too 😉👍
Great video. I’ll have to give it a go, but way too many rocks, so it will be hard work all the way down.
Thanks for watching 🙂🤙 I think they have smoothed the top section of the trail now 🙂 So hopefully it should be a bit better. Have a great session!!
Will definitely visit, when they open in may. The one and only time I've been there, there were only the two dh trails, and I only had time for one run.
Thanks for watching 🙂🤙 Have a great session in May!!! You definitely need a whole day👍
Probably the most technical red in Scotland
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I would agree 👍 one of the most fun too!!! 😁
One of the most underrated trails in the UK.
I really enjoyed it!!! I totally agree!!! I really hope they get more mountain bikers using the trail's 🤙 they are really good!!
Great video! Excellent editing 😉👍🏼
Thanks for watching 🙂🤙
Did you do film the other trails? Looks awesome 😎
Thanks for watching 🙂🤙 I didn't ride any of the other trail's, I just sessioned the Red. I would definitely check out the enduro trail's at the top, but the black is way to hard for me!!
@@SearchMTB lol and for me. I'm still very much a novice but definitely gonna try. 😊
Have a good session 🙂👍
Dude, you could have ridden every one of those features, more speed and commitment is all you need. Good video though
Thanks for watching 🙂🤙 You are totally right 👍 I wish I had had more time to do another run, I would have been more committed and ridden quicker 👍
I Go to Glentress for the last few years,I like the reds and blues, Ok its getting slower each year, age related. I catch the train up to Galashiels from Yorkshire and cycle across , it will be my second time on a ebike, Orbea Rise, and always stay at the Glentress hotel
We are heading back up this year 🙂 we are looking forward to trying the new Blue and Red trails in Glentress 🙂🤙 That sounds like a great way to head up there🙂 The Glentress Hotel looks really nice 👍
Great footage!! up there in May so crossing finger the weather is kind! Fly a drone as well.. what did you use and did you set just to follow you?
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 Good luck with the weather 🤞🤞🤞 hopefully you will be as lucky as I was..... I have a Skydio 2 drone, it is made to be a follow cam. If you can get hold of one they are way better than anything else at the moment.
Golspie needs to be done at speed as it’s pretty horrible going slow. It’s got great flow once you learn it. Fort those that don’t like big scary drop offs, then you can miss the top bit and do the quick fun stuff through the trees. Good idea on a crappy weather day…….
After doing it slowly, I totally agree 👍 speed is your friend! I wish I had had more time, it must be a great trail to do at speed with confidence 🙂👍 The section in the trees is super fun, good to know that is good if the weather is a bit dodgy 👍
On par with Swinley 🤯
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I've not found that trail at Swinley 😂🤣 I haven't ridden babymaker for a while 😜
@@SearchMTB swinley has hardly any elevation and the trails are whack! Golspie is a good trail centre black but a long way away for most!!
Golspie is a long way, I'm from the south coast of England! I have a mate that lives in Crowthorn, so I have ridden Swinley a few times but mostly ride Peaslake if I'm up there But if you head to Scotland Golspie is well worth the effort to ride!
@@SearchMTB I’ve done Golspie,Balblair & Inverness mast on that side and I’m near Fod.
I'm heading back up to Scotland in the spring. I had Balblair on my list but I ran out of time 😕 I spoke to someone at Laggan that rode Inverness mast all the time, I'm not sure where that is ... I'll have to do some more research 🙂👍
Greetings from Alicante….. home of the rocky mountainous trails. Really enjoyed watching. Looks a great trail.
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I've heard it's rocky down there! I've been looking at east coast Spain for a winter trip and watched a few videos...... Glad you enjoyed it 🙂🤙
Liking your videos, great to gauge what I may be capable of and enjoy. I'd not heard of this place, looks interesting (I like rocky stuff). How long (distance and ascent) is the climb to top? Thanks 👍
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 The climb I did is 5.2km and 300m of ascent. There is a fire road ascent as well. If I went back I would use the fire road, but if you like rocky technical ascent give the wildcat ascent a go 🙂🤙
About an hour to the top. Don’t muck about with the fire road access, the tech ascent is way better and has some flatter bits to give you a breather.
I love watching someone ride the way i ride a few runs on this would be great Exerlant video
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I'm glad you enjoyed the video, it is a great trail!!
That looks epic I bet your would have cleared 90% of the features on a second run down, you might have needed a huge cup of coffee before it though!
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I would have loved to have had the time to do a second run!!! You are right, I would have been more committed🙂
Great video, really well put together. I really appreciate watching someone at a similar level to me and that trail looks amazing. Keep up the good work. 😊
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I'm glad you are enjoying the video's and finding them useful 🙂
Its the exposure that freaks you out on this one! we rode it in slippy rain and it was scary!
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I had perfect conditions, I bet it is sketchy as in the rain 😶
Hard? It looks kid friendly me very tame. Surely this is an easy easy trail?
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 Yes it's a blue trail, I'm glad you think it is suitable for your kids
Wow! I watch a LOT of MTB vídeos and this trail ranks up there.
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I'm glad you enjoyed it 🤙
its a great trail for having the kids on to build there confidence its just a shame most weekends is ruined by nob end chavs on downhill bikes that think there good riders
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 Unfortunately it's always the few that ruin it for everyone 😕 It only takes a bit of consideration for others to make a great Vibe.....
Good video pal despite the naysayers, give you a good indication of what it’s like and if the 7 hour drive would be worth it. Incidentally what drone did you use and where did you have the controller when following you?
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I appreciate your positive comments 🙂 I use the Skydio 2 drone, it has a small controller about the size of a phone that fit in my phone pocket on mt back pack strap..... I'm not sure you can buy them new anymore 😕 It's way better than anything DJI have at the moment, however the latest update on the mini 4 is getting closer.
It's not worth a 7 hour drive, go the other way and go to the Alps, loads of beginner friendly flow trails in most resorts.
@@flippy66 I'm heading to Germany and France later in the year to check out some new bike parks👍
@@SearchMTBcheers for that, I’ve got the DJI Mavic air.
That's a great drone👍 I have a mini 2 for making travel videos on our channel 🙂👍
You made those top corners look easy, I found them really tight Plus if you are not fit enough for multiple runs you can pay less for one run.
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 I found leaning the bike over really helps with grip🙂
I didn't realise you can pay per uplift, do you know how much it is for 1 uplift?
Try doing this in Norfolk!
Thanks for watching 🙂 🤙 I know!!! I'm originally from Lincolnshire I would have loved to have anything like this near me ..... Scotland is spoilt for choice for amazing mountain bike trail's!!
I have ridden Disney the String Road on Isle of Arran at 46 mph but bike started to shimmy. Enough excitement for me.
down not Disney. Unless my bike goes down hills but Disney go up them
Please don’t take this the wrong way…. Are your handlebars correct….? They look backwards in this video!
Maybe it's the go pro angle but I know what u mean. They look inside out and back to front. 😂
They were the right way round the last time I checked 😁
No problem... They just looked a bit weird. Thanks for the video. 👋
Thanks for watching 🙂👍
Great video, and I'm delighted that they've put an easier trail in from the cabin. I'll be up in the spring to try that out for sure. It did look as though they are still working on the surface from the bags of material by the side of the trail, but maybe they want a more cross country feel than a groomed flow trail.
Thanks for watching 🙂👍 The trail has made it a lot more accessible for more people to ride and enjoy the uplift 👍 Have a great session in the spring 🤙 I think they have plans to upgrade it and keep on top of the maintenance too🙂
