Jacob is my favourite actor in this show just from how much he has to do, essentially playing different versions of the same character, w/ different accents, different decades. He's in almost every scene, so so much of this rests on his shoulders and he carries it so well! Sam Reid is the most fun for me to watch. He was born for this role!! His ability to say so without saying anything is *chefs kiss* 🤌🏾 Award shows almost never take horror seriously, and it's tragic! Also, at this rate, my spotify playlistvis just going to be the IWTV Soundtrack! Its so good, the scenes literally play in my head as I listen 😅

@27:03 for the first time I really disagree with you. I agree with Louis choice to turn Claudia being selfish but not taking into consideration that the only alternative for Claudia was for her to die as a result of Louis choice takes away a key difference between him and Lestat. If the writers didn't want it to be a factor, they would have made him turn a random girl like the books. Lestat isolated Louis in order to turn him and then knew the consequences of turning a child but did it anyway to get Louis back. Louis only turned someone when they were about to die because of him. But me disagreeing obviously doesn't mean you're wrong 😅 the beauty of this show is the 100 different ways you can read characters and their choices which you and Frank do very well!

Said this on the last video but I’m so stoked to see you get to season 2. You’re picking up every. single. beat. and it’s going to be dope when you see all the threads come together. I’ve seen so many people not get what Louis is going through in this episode, just judging him for taking Lestat back, and you’re the first person I’ve seen talk about how hollow/passive he is after the fight in Ep 5. “Just grey” like YES. Louis the depressed vampire.

You're starting another great series, Taco! 😨 It's a shame it didn't get continued. It certainly wasn't for lack of quality. 🔸 Yann Demange directed this introductory episode. 🔸 It's set in 1954. The interstate system didn't even begin construction 'til 1956... so, backroads were the only way to get anywhere at that point.

There is SO MUCH to talk about. I am excited that you are reviewing this. The show is amazing, but when you consider that its namesake was written by a white German, Misha Green (Creator, Showrunner, Writer) added recognizable elements of the black experience. I have read the book and was sorely disappointed in the "white characters in black bodies" pontificating about a colorless future. I will interact with you on here. No spoilers tho.

Ahh! I love it every time you upload. You are funny and insightful, and really engage meaningfully with the material. Can’t wait to see your reaction to the finale, and, well, a LOT of stuff that happens in season 2. Not gonna say anything more, but season 2 is CRAZY good. I don’t want to get your expectations up too high, but I don’t think that that is possible with this show. Season one was running full octane, but then season 2 says “let me do you one better” and knocks it out of the park! I just still can’t believe this show is real. Going from a 10/10 to an 11/10 with no signs of slowing down by the looks of the third season teaser. Even the trailers for this show are pieces of art in their own right! The Vampire Lestat (book 2) is my favorite, so I can’t wait to see what they do with it in S3. This show loves the book readers, but is also keeping them very much on their toes! I’m forever grateful that this show is on AMC. It is gaining popularity but is still niche, and other networks or streaming services may not have let it have the chance to grow (though AMC could use a little help in the advertising department). Now only if we could have longer seasons and less of a wait in between… alas… But in the meantime, at least there has been a new wave of reactors recently that’s been feeding my insanity! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this show, share your opinions, and all the work it takes to get a reaction edited and posted. I’ve found so many new channels (and artists, authors, etc.) through this show’s fandom and it has truly been amazing. Keep up the good work! 🦊

Its funny... In the last episode when she left, no one notices that Lestat never went after her. She was stateside. But when she decided to leave the country, Lestat went and got her. I dont think anyone puts it together that he actually loves her. Its the beginning of WWII and she was just going to galavant off to Europe... By herself... And all those places she named were right in the thick of it. 🤣😀🦊 Lol and who else was going to come and tell her that? Louis damn sure wasnt going nowhere lololol

🦊 i'm so exciteed for ur ep 7 reaction holy shit I'm crying too!!! 😭

Yeah the guy who is playing Young Daniel did an amazing job at not quite mimicking Eric Bogosian exactly... But he absolutely did spend some time, a couple of days, shadowing Eric to kind of get the cadence of his voice down... The actor is actually British so he's putting on an American accent just like Jacob Anderson is. It's honestly pretty impressive! I had absolutely no clue that he was British. And that day when they were shooting at the bar both Jacob Anderson and Assad Zaman didn't know that Luke, young Daniels actor, was British because he kept up the American accent even when they weren't filming. which is a pretty common tactic that actors use when wanting to keep their accent consistent some people find it difficult jumping back and forth between their natural accent and the accent that they're putting on... At some point during filming the director came up to them and was like "Isn't it really cool how you're ALL from England"... And Jacob and Assad were really confused because they had no clue! But yeah this show really really utilizes British theater trained actors and it pays off... the acting is absolutely amazing... even Sam being Australian he did some schooling in England. I'm pretty sure Eric and Bailey are the only ones who aren't British theater trained actors in the main cast. (But the actress who gets recast to play Claudia in season 2 due to scheduling conflicts IS a British theater actress 🤣) so yeah, it's an American show on an American network but there is British theater training ALL OVER it.
