A possibly useful thing to know -- in Vietnam for sure (and pretty sure this applies to KL and Thailand, also), you can go to most any non-hospital pharmacy and they are happy to sell foreigners the more common prescription drugs over the counter without a new prescription at a pretty competitive price. Lance loaded up on all of his old-guy meds -- diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol meds, with no problem in Hoi An. And for those who howl about counterfeit blah blah blah, they were sealed and mostly manufactured in France. And they have been working fine.
