@@santtu6930 Thank you for your comment! I think so too! I want to do a digital detox, but when I go to a new place for the first time, I feel more secure if I have Google Maps with me. (I also like to print out maps from my computer and take them with me lol) That's why I think this dumbphone model with Google Maps built in is great. I hope more simple models like this that are convenient but not dependent on them will be released in the future. I'll make more videos! I'm getting better at English too! i understand how you feel completely. im a twenty year old living in the united states, and i've been doing tons of research on transitioning to a flip phone lately due to my addiction to my phone. i've had unsupervised access to the internet from the age of six, and it's dominated my life ever since. it's played such a massive role in my life that the idea of cutting out my main access to the entirety of the world scares me a little bit, but from what i've gathered from others it's only improved their lives. i would love to purchase and read your book as soon as an english translation is available, and i wish you the best of luck!

I talk to elderly people a lot, and I often hear them say, "I'm troubled because I can't use a smartphone," or "A dumbphone (flipphone) would be fine." It has a perfect screen size to avoid mindless scrolling, and like you said, even with apps, the shape also helps a lot not to get distracted. I've noticed that with mine too. It seems like a pretty good phone!
@@Alex-mb8mu Thanks for your comment. You're right. The multifunction flipphone is convenient, but its shape makes it hard to become dependent on it like a smartphone. The small screen and physical buttons mean you can keep the screen close to your face. I hope more models like this will be manufactured and sold. Oh wow! I wish we had KiaOS flip phones here in India. The only quality option we have is Nokia 2660. There are few more brands, but they still use those 15 years old chinese OS.

Hi Mikan-san! Greetings from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 , I love the cat mask! is so lovely and awesome!! Im leading towards flip phones to finally be able to ditch my smartphone with one that functions well in the country I live in, so Im looking mainly for some japanese flip phones in hopes they *do* work with a Textnow SIM Card I have along with the app installed in it. It works very well on my smartphone and I have limited features but I still want to downgrade a bit more because it is still 'addicting'. Is so nice to see your videos! I really wished they would made them compatible too in here as unfortunately most dont work with carriers from where I live, and the LG Smart Wine doesnt call me much the attention and design

The company that makes this phone is called Orbic. It was founded in New York in 2006. It entered the Japanese market last year. I'm not sure if they ship overseas, but they apparently have a company in the US, so why not inquire at their US headquarters? Have a happy digital detox☺♥.

Thank you for your comment! I think so too. There are apps that simplify the display of your smartphone for digital detox, and apps that display screen time, but I think analog is the best option. If you own a smartphone, no matter how hard you try, you will never be able to break free from smartphone addiction. dumbphone (flipphone) is great for digital detox. But if you're dependent on it, you'll get tired. - Turn off the power for one hour a day. or ・Turn off the power at 8pm. or ・Do not look at the screen on the train I recommend starting with a digital detox, even if it's just something small! Have a good digital detox☺!
