Andrew is there any chance you could reupload some of the videos your sister had on her website? Specially the one of Seve's win of the 1989 Swiss open (the long version). Anyhow, thank you.

Great chance after 9 then let it slip he really had a great chance to win this , seemed to play differently in America not as aggressive

Seve was very unlucky in that era in the US Open and the PGA championship & for not of a little bit of good fortune would’ve won both and completed the Grand Slam

How was he unlucky? Hardly had people chipping in or holing bunker shots on him.. Like Greg! Just curious how you think he was unlucky not to win them!

@@greatwhiteshark9192 in the 80s Seve was Close in on winning the US Open and PGA Championships and just never had the rub of the green in the final rounds. In 1983 Larry Nelson won it & Seve had a couple of terrible bounces in the fairway which ended up the ball over running and blocking him from a straight shot to the green which cost him shots.
In 1980 he was favourite to win but disqualified for being 10 minutes late for his tee off time despite being held up by crowds of Autograph hunters in the car park that surrounded his car and wouldn’t let him out. Seve was top five a couple of times in the PGA championship in the 80s as well despite having bad luck during the four rounds at crucial moments. I suppose he will have to settle for his five major championships and five world match play championships and 92 tournaments around the world.

@@davidbrooks187 look seve was a great golfer!! But he actually blew a few majors.. Certainly 86masters.. Was leading 87pga late into 3rd round hit water on 18..89 masters hit water on 16 when right there.. 3putted 10th from nowhere in 87 masters playoff.. But never thought he was really unlucky not to win anymore majors.. More his bad play at wrong time!!

@@greatwhiteshark9192 Like every great golfer he was human and I think it was his aggressive play that sometimes lead to him dropping shots but that is why people loved him. yes there were times when he could’ve played closed out tournaments by playing with a different style in order to protect his score more. He had a great Battle with Langer in 1985 when as per Langer quote “Seve was unlucky not to win the masters that year.
America had Arnold Palmer and Europe had Seve. Arnold Palmer was exactly the same and had great victories but also narrowly lost majors including the US Open and Masters is due to the odd three putt or wayward shot. Just like Jack and Arnold all you have to say is one word Seve. He is in that bracket of all time great.
Seve remained loyal to the European tour throughout his career and limited his appearances in America despite great demand, he won big tournaments all around the globe. He would definitely have one more tournaments in the states if he had dedicated his self to the USA tour
Gary Player upon said Seve’s passing said “Seve was a golfing superstar that won all around the world and his legacy will live forever.
When Seve’s back problems became insurmountable in the mid 90s he should’ve retired . It was fitting but he was a winning Ryder Cup captain. The European players said they won that Ryder Cup for him.
I met Greg Norman twice at Woburn in the 80s & he is a top guy, he adored & revered Seve telling me that Seve hits shots that he only hit in his dreams, I think it was unfair that Greg has a reputation of a choker as he was also unlucky in majors but also hurt himself against Faldo in 96 masters.
I think the Lee Trevino quote on Seve said it best “ in every era there is one golfer that is just better than everyone else and that was Seve”.
