Ugh. I just realized how ptsd'd I'm from the cancelled tour dates. I had worked for 4 months straight, literally every day (I own a small business that had lost the top install manager and the main production manager in March so I've been covering everything, day and night ever since. Due to the nature of my stupid job (I make and install signs for corporate d-bags) so I can't make any kind of real schedule as everything pushes and pulls constantly due to the craptacular nature of advertising. Hence, I had to hire another company to do all the work for me that week whether it happened or not because it's the only way to get time off when there's no one else in the company who's capable otherwise the companies just leave and you never get them back which is not an option. I get that's my problem obviously, but a friend of mine passed away last year, my father passed away, my wife left me, and a bunch of other super awesome s***. I realize it sounds like a crappy country song, but it is what it is. Still, when that much shit hits you, something needs to give you something to look forward to. So I booked off all the dates and paid out $7,000 to cover them with another company whether the work came in or not. And of course I had it all booked and then all of the work got pushed to the week I got back. Also, all the work from the week that I was supposed to be away, I pushed to the following week as well so that I could cover it, meaning I not only had to do all that additional work but all the work that I was paying someone else to do that was not actually getting done. Also, all the tickets, because everything sells out immediately now, especially if you're in Canada meant that I paid scalper prices, however, that's not all, because I paid it that way, none of the tickets have been returned to me. So I'm standing on about another $2000 tickets in loses (It's possible I may get that back one day, but it's extremely stressful to say the f****** least. And I've read many reviews that say that they in fact never did get a return). It also doesn't include any of the other things that I had to pay in advance, but I guess we're all out that money and I'm sure the band must be suffering a mass of blowbacks monetarily from canceling the day before. I know it must have been something pretty f***** up because it cost everyone in the band a lot of money and pissed off almost everyone possible. I love them so much, ALL of THEM and that's why I paid so much money and built my entire summer even when I'd lost so much already. I'm also quite aware that life sucks, super hard, like most of the time if not fucking all the time so there's no hate towards them, it is what it is. However, ween is my favorite band of all time. Which is a pretty weird thing to say as I have a very eclectic taste and love a lot of music. It's just they've always given me the best moments of my concert viewing life and as I see this tape come up, I get really excited as it's new music that I haven't heard before. BUT.......then I get super super super super super sad as I'm back at work paying off all the debt that I incurred (close to $10000) trying to go see that show without any explanation whatsoever and I get all sad and just f***** up because when I hear them I can't help but think of all my losses, sadness and debt associated with a last minute cancellation. Once again, I love this band and they don't owe me s*** as they've given me so much profound Joy. I'm just venting because I really really really really really really want to get back to a place where I hear their music & it brings me to my happy place again as I haven't many happy places left. The fact that when I hear the music it just makes me think of disappointment is profoundly hard for me but I can only imagine what they're going through after 40 years of being a band, just to stop at the end of a tour must be devastating. My only hope is that this unbelievably disappointing last moment cancellation allows the band to regroup in a meaningful way and come back so that fans can rely on booked dates as they don't tour anywhere but the states and only in select areas which sells out immediately. Therefore, seeing them is extremely expensive that can't be recouped even if canceled within a reasonable amount of time, let alone a single day. I will always go see them if I can, but I don't know if I would drop close to $10,000 again on a gamble they might show up. Love you guys, take care and I hope whatever happened, you're able to get past not only as a band, but as individuals who have lives and feelings and families that care about you. Life is super hard, constantly, all the f****** time, super f****** relentlessly, it never ever stops to take a break against you and no matter how hard you try it will always f*** you the moment you think any Joy will come into your life, HOWEVER, THERE IS MOMENTS OF PROFOUND JOY LIKE WHEN THEY FIRST CAME BACK AFTER A LONG HIATUS AND I SAW THEM THREE NIGHTS IN NEW YORK CITY IN 2016 . I JUST TURNED 40 AND I GAVE IT TO MYSELF AS A GIFT AND EVEN THOUGH I AM UNBELIEVABLY SADDENED BY THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE SUMMER AND A FIVE FIGURE LOSS I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER REGRET SUPPORTING A BAND THAT IS GIVING ME SO MUCH . Take care boys, Don't sweat it.

I LOVE the guitar sound on this tape, it's incredibly raw and overdriven. IMO 1990-1991 was the peak time for the duo/DAT live Ween act. Mature enough to play with skill, but not yet craving the energy and freedom of a full band which the 1992 Cat's Cradle recording let slip a little
