It keeps restarting a lot. Is there a problem or do I have to wait every time I choose macos install?

You were a big help. The CD ripping software portion of your video were interesting but I did not need that. Your discussion of using the MusicBrainz Picard was the most helpful part. I have about 500 CDs in WAV format that were ripped using a Naim UnitiServe. I wanted to import them and use them in an EverSolo A8, the EverSolo app would recognize the album name but not recognize the artists in its library portion of the app I ran the WAV files through MBP, re-imported them to the SSD in the A8 and all metadata is now recognized. MusicBrainz Picard is fantastic at adding tags to the files.

I had similar thoughts with my comcast service. I have a cable card that's free and just keep that so that I don't have one of their cable boxes on my bill and just made my own boxes using either my firesticks or nvidia shield using their stream app. They started eliminating channels on regular cable boxes in favor of for IP only boxes, so I got that back and the image quality was way better on that app than my cable box.

Nice video. It’s true that some cables may be more open in soundstage and detail than others. Your choice in music recordings can also affect how well it sounds. I’m using shunyata theta coax cable and it sounds great though I’m still burning them in. But I’ve also been using the shunyata venom USB and man does it sound great! Now while I listen to all kinds of music, I’m mostly listening to jazz on my system. With jazz I can hear lots of separation and depth. My noise floor dropped tremendously since I changed out the power cables with the shunyata cables. Nice improvement on my system. Just thought I’d share my experience with cables. If you dont want to pay for Roon, there ist Daphile Audio. Daphile is highly optimized for audio and is for free. The 32bit version still runs on a single core eeePC laptop.

I Cut about half of this stuff out with my Numark TTUSB. I’ve gotten excellent results doing this, and using Audacity as well. The only problem, and it’s one that popped up when I changed the headshell, is in the cartridge pre-attached to the headshell. I’m only getting sound from the left channel. (It’s the Audio Technica AT-VM95C/H, by the way.)

I think Hackintosh seems a great idea until there's a security update which means having to uninstall your Hackintosh (losing all of your files in the process) and doing it all over again.

Thanks for your business over the years, and your nice comments. I don't know how to explain the differences you are hearing based on what I know about the two cables, but we do have other options you may want to try some day if you are curious.

Qobuz is so much better than Tidal.

two are better in my opinion... scatter them in different corners, opposite to each other & hear the magic of Low frequencies submerging from distance into the centerpoint and fill the room.... i have 4 Subs in all 4 corners of the room

Roon Rock seems to run OK in Proxmox. Am still migrating to a dedicated NUC 13 Pro Core i7 box to take advantage of HQPlayer, etc.

I too am a Blue Jeans cable user (speaker, interconnects, digital coax). I use same coax cable as you between my CD transport and DAC. I started with the Amazon Basic Digital Coax. I use Roon too. I replaced my standard 5ft. USB A to B with an Audioquest Cinnamon 2 1/2 ft USB cable between my Bluesound Node and Mytek Brooklyn DAC+. Not sure it made much of a difference as it’s too difficult to swap cables for a listening test. With your sound samples via TH-cam it was hard to discern the difference, maybe a little more bass with the Cinnamon. Thanks for posting your video.

Does this have to be done immediately after install in one step or is trial an error okay here? I’ve redone my config making only the changes needed for this but I’ve made a few mistake and I’m thinking maybe I should do fresh install with the edit completed and try again?

Hii, i have a mobo Asus prime h410m-e and intel i510400 with igpu, but when i boot the usb, only appears windows, not the sonoma install

My legacy version no matter how many times I re-install the software, it keeps crashing on me. So i cannot actually test the difference.

I'm starting to collect physical media specifically 4K discs, but I think the standard blurays (which typically come with the 4K, though not always) should be good enough for streaming. They'll take up way less space and probablly good enough quality to stream when I'm not at home etc.

Do you know if it works with FENVI WiFi 6E Intel AX210 PCIe Wireless and if not would it work with Ventura?

I once had a 13" 2011 Macbook Pro. It had a replaceable 2.5" HDD/SSD, replaceable RA; (2 Sticks) a replaceable battery and a fully replaceable DVD drive. HOW is it possible that a 16" M3 Macbook Pro has not a single upgradable component and less components overall?
