Crackers increase the risk of cavities for kids and adults.
มุมมอง 59ปีที่แล้ว
It's just not sweet foods that cause problems for teeth. Crackers become soft and sticky and get lodged in teeth for long periods. The crackers turn into sugars once they are on teeth, the bacteria feed off the sugars and produce acids which demineralize the enamel and cause cavities. I don't get what is the benefit of any electric toothbrush over manual. Looks like an overblown gimmick to me. I have sensitive teeth and gums but my mom gifted a sonic one on xmas. Tens of thousands brush strokes sounds and feels too excessive to me. You only need a few efficient strokes to clean a tooth.

    it's fine to move the brush manually. the 45 degree angle is important and not pressing too hard. you can also get partially between the teeth by moving the brush.

    Hello I wish I have seen this video earlier I tried it today in my front broken tooth. And I feel a bit Nhs when I touch the tooth with my tongue and when I drink water. I don’t feel pain I just feel more sensitive. I don’t have money ti fix it right now or to have a treatment for the enamel. What should I do at home ? Avoid hit and warm water ? And which tooth paste should I use over a night for some nights in order to treat the damage that I might have done to the enamel ? Thank you so much 🙏

    Thank you for this wonderful video! I learned a lot! A quick question, is that a good idea to brush my teeth more than twice a day, e.g. after each meal?

    • @happyhealthysmiles7931
      @happyhealthysmiles7931 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm so glad the video was helpful. Yes, brushing after each meal is safe. What is harmful is if you brush aggressively, use incorrect technique, use a hard toothbrush, or use an abrasive toothpaste daily. If you were doing any of these, even just brushing once a day would be harmful. Hope this helps.

    • @happyhealthysmiles7931
      @happyhealthysmiles7931 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello David I'm well, thanks. I will be posting a video on waterflossers next month. I'm going to try it put. I highly recommend them if you have braces, lots of crown and bridges, or dexterity issues. They have to be used carefully to prevent pushing the plaque under the gums. I still think string floss can not be replaced. I will try the waterflosser and post a video of pros and cons.

    Just wondering, if DIY teeth filing is dangerous because it removes the protecting enamel. Why do dentists perform teeth contouring and remove same part of enamel using a harsh sanding machine. DIY contouring is dangerous. But dentist contouring is safe! Same concept, same enamel hurting. It is just to protect their business and pay 500$ to contour the teeth at a dentist and hurt the enamel eventually.

    • @happyhealthysmiles7931
      @happyhealthysmiles7931 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a good question. I think it depends on the procedure and which dentist you see. Many will not contour unless it is absolutely necessary and can be done safely without causing permanent sensitivity.

      @@happyhealthysmiles7931 I had to shave a few down. Didn't feel the need to go pay to have it done. I did well, no nerve pain or anything like that and this was years ago. To do it as a stupid challenge and shave them to be cool is dumb, but someone with common sense can do it at home, dentist just want to bill you
