🇦🇺 2017 Emergency Services Compilation: Police, Fire, Ambulance, SAR
Australia: Here’s a look back at some of 2017 images Emergency.Life has captured in the State of Victoria, Australia. Includes a sample of vehicles, uniforms and equipment in active service during the year. Agencies shown include fire services (Metropolitan Fire Brigade [MFB Melbourne], Country Fire Authority [CFA], Forest Fire Management and Victoria [FFMVic]), Victoria Police [including Protective Service Officers], Ambulance Victoria, the State Emergency Services [SES] and the Australian Federal Police [AFP]. A number mass casualty events occurred during 2017 in Victoria’s State Capital of Melbourne. These include the January Bourke Street Mall vehicle attack, a similar incident in Flinders Street in December as well as a Christmas party balcony collapse in Donvale. Some images, although not sensitive, may trigger reactions in viewers. Please seek appropriate support from Lifeline or other agencies as appropriate. Thank you to Victoria’s emergency services and those first responders around the world who run towards danger while others run a away from danger. The price you pay in the protection and service of others is appreciated more than words can convey. Thank you.

Why dont you all go shove your cognitive radio right up your arse you cunts are fucked so what your all saying is you all want to live like automated robots where your decisions are fed to you via a cognitive radio frequency from a local antena transmitting on 2.4Ghz and 5G Voip signals that have been integrated with your theta and gamma brain waves? He didn't seem interested on giving the tour & why does a town need 2 stations
Bigger cities have more stations for more coverage and to cut down response times
@@MrTenor-ch5gs i understand that,but Ballarat doesn't need 2 stations
peter barber Why’s that?
@@AJ-dv7hf ballarat is not big enough to have 2 stations
peter barber Why though? Low population? Geographical size? Etc...?
cute little fire trucks
Smaller but more manoeuvrable
I didnt see any true brush trucks
Yes, this is Ballarat ‘City’ Fire Station and most appliances are urban tanker, pumper & ladder trucks. Check out the historic‘Ballarat’ Fire Brigade - about 8 - 10mins across town, in the video tour on the same page, you will get a better sense of the 4x4 brush trucks (pumper/tankers) that serve a more rural / urban interface on the SE side of Ballarat. May try to dig up some images of the Forest Fire Victoria trucks (FFV) as well, they are tasked with the CFA to manage the pine plantations, bush land and rural property outside the Ballarat ‘City’ - it’s a bit like a small incorporated US City FD and the surrounding rural County FD and then the State Dept of Forestry FD or USNP PD. But check out the old station of the Ballarat Fire Brigade, a great late 1800s station and watch tower - original bell and one of the finest silverware collections in the State! Thanks for checking in. Stay safe.

That fire fighting brigade does not have to deal with high rise fires yet. Their equipment and gear is tailored to a suburban location.
Ballarat is the 3rd largest city in Victoria. A fire station in the heart of of it needs suburban equipment. A small (relative) town near me has a pumper (suburban fire truck) because it’s big enough to warrant it. Most fire trucks of the CFA is are tankers which are more country than pumpers
They also Have an aerial Bronto appliance
What's ya point?
Bronto, as in - brontosaurus.
Nice Machine by the way
Cause Australian Government send money overseas than looking at its own like farmer small business etc... I am born Australian I am shame of our Government.

I have a question. Are Americans driving the Cadillacs and Chevrolet Tahoes or are Australians doing that?
That would be the American secret service.

Yes definitely the US Secret Service driving the VP (soon to be POTUS) - Aussie protection details still assigned but driving the Aussie vehicles.... oh wait, GMH & Ford left us... I mean the Aussie cops during the European SUVs / VIP cars.

Great video!
Nice eyebrows, good head for radio.
Craig McGarry hopefully you never need him to save you from a fire since you are so mean to him
I see you’re totally secure about yourself!
Hi I have someone that I know that lives in Ballarat and he said the only good thing there is the train station. This video has changed my mind. Still going off my tits that you have 13 fire officers in there. Building must be bigger than the town.
Just showed this to my 3yr old son here in the UK. He loved it, thank you!
Best to leave the red & blues on at an incident - especially when crews are crossing over a traffic-able road!
What I'd really like to see bringing up the rear of one of these huge motorcades is a Mr Whippy van playing Greensleeves

@@logicpolice2451 Maybe that's because Australia doedn't have a president lol.
what do you use for a radio system is it digital. 800 MHz
I am a radio operator from the USA. what do you run for a radio system????
You can't it's who ever is in the passenger set and the driver can't do the turnout message
But they do have Vicfires which is pretty much dispatch
Yeah up until recently, the state of Victoria had two dispatch centers for the entire state (6.5 million people). The one for central Melbourne (the capital and largest city) and Geelong (the second largest city) was Telleho. The rest of the state were served by VicFire. However, I think this may have changed in the last few months because Country Fire Authority have just lost all their career fire fighters (they joined a new service called Fire Rescue Victoria).
@Bryce VicFire has now become Firecom and both CFA and FRV operate using Firecom and, although separate organisations, work closely together such as if a CFA station is closer to a fire, along with some FRV appliances, they will turn out
@@vincentweatherly9991 thanks for the update. Interesting to know that both agencies use the same dispatch system. It makes more sense and will allow for better interoperability.
its "bronto" not "pronto" skylift
Nice video thanks for the tour!
Emergency Responses Australia l lflfo
How ridiculously political that the volunteers run the rescue appliance!!! The district needs an OM with balls!
Approx 26 is more than a handful of CFA rescue stations. You are correct most are run by volunteers - that is a no brainer given the staff to volunteer station ratio! However, it is political when you have a career station in the same town that can get the rescue out the door much quicker with a guaranteed crew 24/7 - and don't give me any crap about vol stations being able to guarantee crews! It is also the same story at Hoppers Crossing/Werribee.
I agree on - if the response times are kept up there is no issue - I just hope those response times are being reviewed continually and not fudged. As for Werribee - are you sure that you want to impart that kind of information publicly?? There are no fully volunteer stations that would have Municipal certificate of occupancy issued, which makes it illegal for anyone to "live" there as in the case of a staffed 24/7 station. I am sure that Wyndham City Council, CFA, the UFU and centrelink would probably be very interested in this. Centrelink as some of them are probably on the rock and roll - yet fully fit and able to respond a fire truck, just not work for a living. You need to remember what volunteers were intended for in CFA - and that is not to provide an illegal 24/7 presence on a station, which you have to admit is only to stop staff getting their hands on the rescue.
where i live our rescue truck is also run by volunteers
@@harryhighpants5789 most stations that have occupancy are maned by paid firefighters(roughly 5 per shift)
I'm not sure you understand what is being discussed there - and it is 3 or 4 per shift per primary appliance. The occupancy I refer to is the classification of a station as a liveable building, which Werribee is not.
I wanna be a vip god than it
A number of the unmarked vehicles were AFP.
Great vid, they have a fire truck so if any part of the motorcade catches fire they can stop it before it gets to bad
Also notice suited up for a HAZMAT incident as well....
That's an absurdly ridiculous number of vehicles in the motorcade. A fire truck as well? Seriously?
Not really
Yes, really!
