HOSANNA TO THE SON OF DAVID! Today, April 5, 2020, PALM SUNDAY OF THE PASSION; I am especially GRATEFUL that this colorful, exuberant Palm Sunday Processional was uploaded eight years ago by Alan DePuy of St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral in Seattle, Washington to the TH-cam channel. Joyous Holy Week to all the St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral staff and congregation! Most of us are celebrating this day in our homes and residences, due to the PANDEMIC PLAGUE of the COVID-19 Coronavirus. We could not pick up our palm branches this weekend at the florist to wave in our Holy Week worship services at our churches! Just as our Hebrew ancestors in faith stayed under the BLOOD OF THE PASSOVER LAMBS/KID GOATS as the Destroyer skipped over their houses, and escaped death; (Exodus 12-14) so we, followers of the LAMB OF GOD, shelter in our homes until the pestilence passes us by; and our souls remain under the BLOOD OF YESHUA/JESUS OUR MESSIAH, sheltering in the "secret place of the Most High", abiding "under the wings of the Almighty" (Psalm 91:1,2), Who covers us, now, and all our lives, until we join the festal throngs who wear white robes and hold palm branches and declare: "Salvation belongs to our GOD Who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" (Revelation 7:9, 10)

I thought the person with the streamers up front was the Better but then I spotted the real Verger.

And that's how it should be done. Rousing, glorious, thundering and hearty. This took my breath away. I sang at the top of my voice on Easter Sunday morning when we had this for the opening hymn. I LOVED it. We have gone from the darkness and misery to the wonderful light of Christ's resurrection...a happy, joyous and heart bursting celebration. Sing your hearts out and rejoice.

This procession captures exactly *how I FEEL on Easter Sunday*...the color, movement and *JOY* of those who process in the Lord's presence is just FABULOUS! I love all the flying ribbons, butterflies and the *WILD ORGAN!* It's a feast for the senses that captures the *FEELING OF RESURRECTION TRIUMPH!* But I would NOT be able to restrain my Black Pentecostal self in THAT cathedral and I love the joyful SHOUTS of the people of GOD! Y'all know how to give God that *praise blast!" :-) *CHRIST IS RISEN, INDEED!* Just *PRAISE HIM WITH THAT EPISCOPAL FLARE!!* *HALLELUJAH!* Joyfully,from your sister in Christ!

Happy Easter 2017 to the Resurrected Community of the Cathedral of Saint Mark, Seattle! Must be another 'myth' that Seattle as is London is a rainy town. Your liturgy is rife with the sunniest Geist and Resurrection. Your processional kites complement with distinction. Were the town to be rainy, Saint Mark's would be the SUN/SON.

This remains my favorite video of this hymn.

Earth indeed has many noble cities, yet with a rainy reputation, I hesitated to visit but with a Liturgy such as this to usher in the Paschal Preconium, even the water shines. Happy Easter, Saint Mark's, Seattle, WA.

FABULOUS, FESTIVE PALM SUNDAY SERVICE!!! Who planned this? Is this done every Palm Sunday? I love the use of light percussion and random horns...and the videography was beuatiful...."The joy of the Lord is your strength!" (Nehemiah 8:10) Do you have something similar for PENTECOST? :-)

So medieval looking and what a blessing to see all the FESTIVITY marking the start of Holy Week.....WOW! This gives me ideas for next year....the Good Lord willing! Are there bells at the end of those streamers? And hearing the trumpet and piccolo is just adds to the celebration. St. Mark's Cathedral just ROCKED THE PRAISE in this festive worship service....I love the whole congregation joyfully processing in the house of God! We did that this year with the congregation processing with palm branches and folks began to spontaneously yell "HOSANNA!" I love how this procession captures the feeling of the ancient crowds following Yeshua as He rode into Jerusalem...and then that SUPER-BAD SHAKE-THE-HOUSE organ just BLASTS that intro into "All Glory, Laud and Honor"..YES!!!! You just got this Black Pentecostal sister READY TO SHOUT ! :-) JOYOUS HOLY WEEK and EASTER, all the way to PENTECOST! :-)

I absolutely love this I especially love how the introit starts off lowly then dramatically climaxes into a paen of triumph to musically illustrate the drama and joy of the resurrection.

I used to as the organist to open it all up and sit on the altar a just feel it, not just hear it but feel the sound push and vibrate me! This organ can be heard 3 blocks away over Seattle traffic, and the 160 ft bombard set off uw sizemological instruments.
