Sam told me upper Taylor creek would be dry this time of year. She was right. My question is why doesn't lower Taylor creek ever dry up? Or are there 2 Taylor creeks?

Hey guys! I'm a new member and it was H&H that caused me to join RMPA and i have been a member for about a month. I just got through this Brush Creek video nd i went out looking for our claims there but only found 1. BTW the creek was dry except for that area marking it as a RMPA claim. A little background: I am a 78 year old disabled Vietnam combat vet. I was in Charlie Company 2nd/2nd 1st Infantry Division. 1965 to 1967. I was hit 7 times that messed me up pretty good but it's the agent orange that is doing me in. I am reaching out to you guys to maybe take me under wing and show me how to do prospecting. What bothers me is most of our claims are in dead zones where a 911 call is not possible, like Brush creek. Prospecting has given me a new lease on life! If i don't have something i love like gold hunting i am going to lay down and die. If i have another heart attack or stroke out there by myself things would not go well for me. Do you ever invite people to come prospect with you. And i was on the rum creek fire. Sad for the wildlife but thats cool it cleared the brush back for you and a plus it will grow back more beautiful

Just upstream of the bridge crossing the creek at beaver hollow has always been good.

Also clean your black sand from graves creek with nitric acid after you separate the gold. You will be pleasantly surprised how much maganese covered gold hides in the black sand.

I used to get at least a pennyweight to 2 pennyweight a day sluicing on graves creek back in the 80s.

You also have to be careful as there are patented claims around whiskey creek on the rogue trail.

Graves creek right below the bridge pays really good. Or at least it did back in the 89s when I worked it.

Use the suction dredge it will chew up the paydirt..

Pit a 3” pump dredging converging on it to move more material…

Hey, where'd you guys go? Hopefully all these fires & the smoke isn't being too much of a nuisance for your prospecting ventures.

As they say - BUYER BEWARE! We have a lot this up here in Alaska - people who try to make a quick buck by claiming a bunch of areas then quickly trying to sell them to suckers. The best way to deal with that type is to ignore them. Holding these claims costs them money in annual fees. And after eating those costs for a few years they drop the claims and we re-claim them for free. Golden rule - NEVER buy a claim if the owner has not personally worked it. NEVER buy a claim if you can’t verify with your own eyes that the corner posts (required before filing a claim) have been put in the proper spots and they have the required legal documents on the posts. NEVER buy a claim where they won’t let you spend a few days of testing before making your decision. Why test? Because it’s the only way to prove what they are claiming. Even in this video, you don’t know if they’re being honest or if they dumped some gold in the sluice to make it look good. So if they don’t allow you to test before purchase, walk away. Most importantly, contact the owner of the land to ensure you’ll have access to your claim. If it’s private property, the owner can deny you access to work your claim. Owning a claim does NOT include the right to access the land without the owner’s permission. I’m not saying that this channel is doing any of that. I’m simply saying that you should believe NOTHING a claim seller tells you. Test and verify everything they say. If they won’t let you or your tests do not verify what they’re saying, walk away.
