Would I be able to just apply this to a spoon with a cloth to make it useable or do I have to use it as a sanding lubricant?

Neat bottle opener. You may want to adjust your audio and re-upload though. It could be just me, but with my volume set to it's usual I didn't notice there was any audio at all in the video. I cranked up my volume to check though and found that it is there but even with my volume way up, it's quiet.

This is just as good the second time.

So you failed to actually thread the threaded insert into the wood and that's the part that I have figured out is not possible. You have to rotate something so you're going to have to hand rotate the wood while using the tail stock to press the threaded insert in. Maybe you have a smaller lathe but mine is way too big to have both hands working at the same time.

What kind of Mandrel did you use? Also with the threaded insert what size was it?

I thought I may have read somewhere that Pens Plus was created to provide more durability for this type of finish. Not sure about where I read that though. Thanks for this video

Great Videos and Products! I have turned a lot of pens and various spindles. However, I am having difficulty with the bottle-stopper. (Yes, I know bottle stoppers are known as the easiest to turn. My problem comes when I am shaping the dome portion (near tailstock support). I use a M2 cryotek 1/2" spindle gouge and Carbon tips. I keep getting a catch that ruins my project. I am trying to "ride the bevel" but I may just be too new to the lathe. Your help in technique or I am willing to purchase your recommendation for a different tool is greatly appreciated.

I got one of these a couple of months ago, it works great for buffing. I've also put a wire wheel on it to remove rust from tools..works great for that too. Just be sure to wear your face shield!

Yeah its so funny how AZ Carbide stoke this whole idea from me they all know what they did and now AZ Carbide doesn't have them on their site they have now gone to Niles Threaded bottle stoppers so that they can try and get out of it. This was my complete idea and designed just like it is when I reached out to a, Carbide he was all excited saying that's a great idea then several weeks or maybe a few months went by and all of a sudden I recieved the January 2023 catalog and what do I see the brass inserts. I'm just so sick of people just getting over on others I even asked them to send me a few of them like 4 or 5 of each seeing that it was my and mine only idea and design of this that wouldn't be a problem for them to do so they ignore the message and it's not right everyone involved in this haven't heard the last of this we all could have been cool if people wouldn't ignore emails and stuff I mean you could've sent me a box of them and we would have been the best of friends the ones involved know who they are anyone not involved I apologize but what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong and this isn't right in so many ways .
