I appologize a head of time for not showing the whole process. I decided to do it at the very end and figured a verbal description would have helped me so I hope this helps you.

Carver CX (and C7) Trucks Can Pump up a Parking Garage.
มุมมอง 111K8 ปีที่แล้ว
These trucks have so much pumping and carving power that they can pump up small inclines like, parking garages. Wanted to show how you don't even need to push using these trucks you only need to pump! This is not to show any type of skills just how good these trucks are for pumping and carving. ROAROCKIT www.roarockit.com Carver CX Trucks www.carverskateboards.com/cx-truck/
lol I guess I really do suck at it haha, thanks, convinced me to keep trying with my current setup instead of returning it for a YOW
The best explanation ever, thank you so much
thanks. btw there is only 1 piece of the metal clip on each side (R + L)
Got a replacement headband that was so garbage that it flatout refused to slot in properly. Sadly my old headband was so fucked that I couldn't get it back in either, so now I am sitting here, fuming, with shitty wide headphones that do not fit at all. Fuck this, getting a new pair of headphones. Sennheiser fucked up the longevity of their products by not providing proper support.
Still valuable 7 years later. Thanks, dude.
Thank you for this video - 6 years later still helping out. Made this replacement easy!
IDIOT!!! 9:54 of wtf did he just say!! Anyone count how many times this MORON said UMMMM?
You saved me! <3
Thank you for making this video! I got a replacement set and was baffled on how to do the headband piece. Despite how much you say this isn't a great video, it sure helped me understand how to do this.
saved me a lot of headache and probably breaking parts, trying to figure it out myself... thanks for this tutorial! :) the old HD 380s look like new now!
Currently trying to decide between C7 and CX. Which one do you find easier to generate speed from pumping alone? I have other boards for other types of skating and was thinking this next board purchase would be for flat ground pump-carving. I’m leaning towards the C7 because I’m worried the CX will be too similar to my cruiser and I don’t want two boards that do the same thing. What would you recommend? Thanks in advance!
Thanks so much for explaining the headband! Helped me heaps when trying to figure it out. Stoked with my fresh pads :D
Just got my first CX set up. I can't even pump on flat let alone up hill🤦
Hi there. I've made a tuto in order to work out an issue which could arise when replacing earpads on a Sennheiser headset: th-cam.com/video/nQ5pGoxTQjc/w-d-xo.html BR
I know this is a years old video, but thank you so much - this showed me what I was missing when trying to do this to mine.
Thank you! This video was a great help for the head pillow part.
Really helpful, thank you. I just took out the retainer clip on one side and slid out the old an in the new. Appreciate the warning about the wire. Cheers from Australia 😉
Hi do these cx trucks fit a loaded fattail?
Thank you very much, after your video, I accidentally found this clip in the house and put it in place. Now the headband is adjustable as it should)
NIce video. Grabbed the CXs the other day over the C7s and good confirmation here.
THANK YOU ! <3
Thx! You save my live :D
Carving with out pushing in skateboarding is called gyrating.
Very helpful.. i actually chose the same combo but in separate pieces lol. I got a great deal though. Thank you!
Thanks man. I wasn't sure about the stops as my replacement parts didn't come with replacement stops. This video showed me I could just pop them out.
Great video, thank you this helped me immensely.
SUPER helpful! Thanks so much.
This video has helped me make my decision on my first surfskate experience, and I’m very excited for it to arrive! Thank you so much, I did decide to go with the CX Truck system. I appreciate the no BS/Posh style of video content.
How did you like it?
Great video, but don't care for either of those trucks. I've tried and tested every system out there and my choice is smoothstar. Why? It feels the most like surfing and generates the most speed from pumping than the rest. There are so many variables involved that will dictate whether you can pump up a hill easily, your speed, turning, etc. Things like wheel type, truck type and size, bushings, and more importantly wheelbase measured from inside the truck base plates. To prove my point. Take that board you have with the Orangatang wheels and throw on something like Blood orange morgans and see how it pumps. I can take just about any board and make it pump very easy up an incline. Its not dependant soley on the truck, especially not these two. Those two trucks do pump ok if they are setup correctly, but a smoothstar setup correctly will run circles around the cx and c7.
best for generating speed is gbomb and beernett precision trucks for example.
1. You can still get them from Sennheiser Prod. Code 531464 2. There is only 1 ratchet (metal clip) on each L&R side of the headband. 3. You only need to remove one retaining clip from one side... the ratchet shouldn't come out. 4. Slide the old padding out through the gap between the earpiece and bracket. 5. When sliding the new padding in the same way just make sure it doesn't catch on the bracket at the other end. Check the ratchet still works. 6. Have no fear... it's an easy job!
Thank you so much for this!
Hey man, are those Carver Trucks just on a Regular deck? If so, what's the wheelbase on it.
That’s one of the decks I made but I did make it somewhat similar to a regular street deck shape but with slight adjustments in the concave (or less of it), a flatter tail, and a little longer and thicker than a regular deck . It has been years since I made that though and I no longer have it to measure, but I’m pretty sure the wheelbase had to be around 17” or 18”. Since I wanted it a little father apart than the average street deck wheelbase which is usually around 14.5ish”. If you like Loaded skateboards they have some newer decks that I’ve been enjoying, like the “Omakase” which I’ve had for about a year now and I like it a lot. However, the wheelbase on that is longer than what I am used to (around 20” or 22”, I forgot), at least for using Carver trucks, but they did just come out with the “Coyote” deck which is the closest deck they have ever made to a street deck and has their Loaded touch to it. I’m looking at it on-line right now and it says it has a 17.5” wheelbase so that could be super fun, it’s width is 8.375” though which is a little skinny for my taste but likely still really fun. But do I prefer my boards on the wider side, around 9” to maybe 10” max. Now that I think about it, since I made that deck myself, I think I measured my stance and where I felt like I would most benefit from where the trucks were placed for carving and pumping, so you might want to see what yours is just incase that might matter, or maybe proves to be the same. I’m 6’1 just to get an idea. Either way though, with how the Carver trucks work I feel like that 17 to 18” wheelbase is a sweet spot for me (not to long not to short and very maneuverable) so maybe try to find a 17.5” at a skate shop and just stand on it to get a feel for the size. Plus I think that wheelbase is becoming pretty common now too. Carver also used to make some decent decks too but I haven’t used any in awhile to know for sure. I did use their website to get an idea of what they used that might work best with their trucks. Anyway, I hope that helped. Getting the right setup for how you ride really makes the experience way better so take ur time with it and get what u think will work the best. And if u ride hard wheel normally try going a little softer but not too soft. Can’t go wrong with Orangatange wheels, I wish I had them all. Damn that was a long ass response lol 🤙
With your guide, I managed to take apart my Sennheiser GAME ZERO headset. But, now I can't get the metal piece to go back in, and it's not quite the same shape as yours. ^^; Edit: I was able to get it back together properly! I actually didn't end up replacing the headband for now, as it's just starting to tear a bit and is much higher quality still than the replacement one I got off eBay. I hope this thing lasts forever, but I'm also looking forward to the day I can replace it with something easier to repair...
Have the same headset How did you get that metal piece back in ?
Very nice! What is the length of deck or wheelbase you're sporting with that cx truck??
I don’t have it anymore for exact dimensions but it had to be something like 17.5” wheelbase and probably around 30” length and I think 9.5” wide. I’ve been riding the Loaded “Omasake” the last year and although it’s a bit longer and has bit further of a wheelbase than what I was used to I did get used to it and I really like it. Their new “Coyote” could pretty awesome, just wish they made it at least 9” wide. But I just gotta see it in person. Everything else looks good with it. The closest carver deck that might compare to the one your talking about could be that Tylor Knox deck. At least the dimensions look good. 17.5” should be close to what I had on that though, which worked really well with the Carver trucks.
@@getyofactsstr8377 great thanks for the reply!
Thank you - incredibly helpful! Worth mentioning @Nikolaos Tsarmpopoulos comment about tho two rails - that was the final piece on the puzzle for me.
th-cam.com/video/6YqNDMyiwOg/w-d-xo.html This is another video on replacing the ear cup padding. I suggest you watch both SoundSpares and GetYo FactsStr8 videos before attempting any replacement.
This is the only acceptable video tutorial on the internet for replacing the headband padding (lots of videos on replacing the ear cup padding), thank you for making & sharing this video. Replacing the headband padding is considerably finickier than the ear cup padding.
Thank you !! I'm going for the CX 🙏🤩😍
This video made replacement of my HD 380 Pro padding a breeze! Thank you!
One side doesn’t have the metal ratchety thing, and I just replaced mine through that side, on mine it was the left side. Is it just me?
Not just you. Unsure if they all miss it on the left side or if I lost them.
Just fixed my headphones. Thanks!
Worked great, video helped me prepare. FYI, a video on replacing headband for HD600 also helped as the head band for the HD 380 Pro came off and on similar to HD600. Funny note: when I finished I had a small metal piece left over on my work area. However, you noted it worked without, mine did too, so I left it alone. Thanks again
thanks for this man, big help :)
Great video! Swapped my padding no issue.
Ended up with the exact choice as you made!
Hey, would recommend Carver trucks on flexy deck like on a vanguard? Which type of carvers?
chau2k5 Hey man, so I haven’t done extensive riding with a flex long board like the vanguard, other than with my Loaded (flex) fat tail but I didn’t try it out for very long, but it wasn’t terrible to ride so its definitely possible that it could be really fun and I just wasn’t really used to it on that long of a board. I just remember feeling like that with these trucks you don’t need a flex board because the trucks do all the pumping and carving. So a longer flex board, imo, feels better with a good set of longboard trucks like bear grizzly, Paris, gullwing, caliber etc but loosened up a little to your liking. So it’s a little hard for me to give you a solid answer but if I had to I would definitely say your best bet would be with the CX’s for sure. I just know that carver trucks are typically ridden on stiffer boards between 25”- 35ish”. I actually got the Loaded Omakase deck a few months back and put the CX’s on that it feels really good if your looking for a loaded deck that I know works well with those trucks, but the vanguard could be an interesting combination so let me know how that goes if you decide to ride that set up. I’m going to have to put a pair of CX’s back on my Fat tail and give it another go too since I really didn’t give it a chance so if I do I’ll try to give you a better update on how it feels. Not sure if that even helps at all...
What are the dimensions of the short board you rode? Looks like the perfect board I’m looking for. Thanks!
How much are they both and what are the difference which are the ones that got like to double and are extra sharp turn in I like the first one you know that's like that only got one truck thing not the double aluminum
The C7’s are the biggest trucks of their line and their first generation, with the front truck having more metal than the CX trucks. The C7 does turn a little sharper but it’s not significant enough, to me at least, compared to the CX version. I think the CX are more solid and function just as well as the C7 and the CX trucks are newer too. If you have a surf shop close to you try calling them to see if they have Complete Carver decks and trucks so you can go their and see try them out for yourself. Otherwise I’d say just go with the CX trucks.
Nice vid man I have the c7 I never rode the cx I'm told the c7 has more dive I love mine.
Will G can you pump uphill with the c7 trucks? Trying to decide between the cx and c7
I know it's a year later... but I would also like to know what is easier to pump up hills, c7 or cx. I am thinking cx since they seem to have more snap back? Not sure though. Any weight in would be great!
@@scottvangaal You can pump uphill on a c7 but it's more work. I have both cx an c7. The cx is better for distance pumping. The c7 is more surfy (looser).
Thank you!! This video was a lifesaver. The metal piece fell out immediately but I didn't panic cause i watched this video beforehand. God knows I would've been lost without the video
