@@BeenHoly Gyuki is hard for all the wrong reasons, mostly cos of the extremely jank hitbox because of its size and it’s not even that interesting to fight, but you can somehow bully it to death if you had fire or lightning element. You’d also wanna bring a bucket of water for the next stage, you’ll see why. Most of the later bosses aren’t terribly difficult but you’re gonna find one in particular later on that *will* wall you. It’s tripped up a lot of people and took me a few tries to get past it

@@BeenHoly next chapter. The rest of the bosses in this chapter are nowhere near as shit or unnecessarily hard as Gyuki. The next boss has a…interesting design, and the one after that you might recognise the name of if you’re familiar with Jujutsu Kaisen

@@Shadow86TheGamer People getting mad at fictional AC for not being historically accurate are really dumb. The series has never been about being accurate to history. Did we forget about the female spartan in one of the past games? Or the completely PG13 Vikings from Valhalla? Or Nioh itself portraying William Adams as a bad ass samurai who can fight demons and control spirits. Why does Shadows need to be accurate when it is fiction also? Seems like people whine about historical accuracies when it comes to minorities.

@@Obbie40 I guess if a guy started a petition with Nioh's William or the spartan woman, we would've had the same result. I think the petition would have been much lower and insignificant, but people started digging for more after that, and they find they used that banner without permission then dig a bit more and find they used a katana from an anime and the list goes on. Of course, having a black protagonist didn't help at all, we all know how Japan is for certain things...

I suffered a lot with him, best way to cheese him is corruption + lightning. Find a yokai weapon which imbues corruption and use some lightning skills or talismans. Then do not let him get up. Just attack him over and over and make sure to Ki pulse and switch stances to recover your Ki. That way he won't even enter the second phase properly. Find "infinite" combos that take him out of Ki and keep up hitting him. Don't grapple or death blow, because it helps him recover Ki faster. Don't forget corruption + lightning (maybe some other stuff to proc confusion as well). It will prevent him from ever fully recovering his Ki. Find sole hard-hitting soul cores too. Use soul core attacks to recover your Ki.

@@BeenHoly some Burst counters are better to preform on different Yokai form. Brute is the easiest one for me, but sometimes i fuck up timing and basically trade damage Feral is the most janky since sometimes i just dash from an attack and dont do BC Phantom was the hardest since the block window feels little bit short but the most satisfying overall

Agree'd, though an important thing to mention is it 100% blocks any attack, meaning you also can use it as a panic block incase they do like a hyper beam on you that'd insta kill. For 1 anima you basically get a guaranteed bubble shield for 1 hit. Brute is still better though since it lets you keep up aggresion, it sucks if you play passive though. Also, take my advice and never use long start up skills that aren't the kitty wheel. Everything that has a long start up is always going to be worse than a quick one (also the damage numbers are purely based off the sword and shield symbols, so higher sword means higher damage, so you want high level spirit cores, NOT based off level. Leveling them up makes the innate special effects better.

I use only Phantom Burst Counter. For me it is the easiest BC. Have over 700 BC with it.

@@duckyduckington9736 it does block any attack I’ve notice that and in that instance a life saver, feral is just the one I like the best ngl, and you just make me look at yokai abilities differently thank you

@@BeenHoly yeah, and another important one is that if a yokai ability is active you cannot use another one. So if you have a long ability duration, you cant chain it with another, you need to wait the entire duration. And the best use for them is as a stamina refill, they often last long enough to get half ur stamina back and almost always do good damage, so they're best used in place of a ki refill or right after so you can keep attack back to back to back. Also incase ur wondering, upgrade ur shiftling skills by sacrificing your weak soul cores. The ones u want are the getting 1.2 back on guard counters, getting 1.2 back on the pool absorptions and you also want to get the stamina back on guard counters, it makes it so much easier to keep chaining. Just my general tips, also the way those swap switchglaive skills work is you swap and after you do any attack you can swap again, (not to the same stance) so its best to do (what I do) swap bottom to middle, middle to bottom, bottom to middle and then to top to finish. You need to do a light attack between switching, but there isnt a delay so the light comes out very quick. Also the mastery skills, pick the stamina one its so good.

I have played every souls like game. Nioh takes so little from the souls formula. Nioh can’t be called a souls like game never ever. Control, bosses, levels, atmosphere, and even graphics effects are very different from dark souls.

Even tho they are WAY DIFFERENT to each other like you said, I’ve only played Bloodborne and nioh as “souls likes” so I’m sure my opinion will change the more I play

give all your worldly possesions away to the gods, for like 50k each time. I just only run 1 weapon and armor every level until I get an upgrade and put it on, and then sell everything else at the end.
