    SoFi sucks. I tried to open an account and had to talk to three different reps. Then, they wanted me to send copies of the front and back of my drivers license, so I made excellent scans in two formats on a flatbed scanner. Then, they tell me I have to freaking use my phone to take photos of the license and can't submit the perfect scans I took. And then, they also want me to take a selfie and send it, too. Why do they need a selfie when I'm sending my photo ID? Do they think I might be using someone else's license to make an account for myself so they can steal my money? What morons. I told SoFi where to stick it. No other online bank asks for all these things to open an account.

I have direct deposit set up with a local ban checking account, must I have to have my paycheck switched to direct deposit with Sofi checking to have the 4.0 APY? Or does it simply mean I have to set up direct deposit so I can transfer money manually to my Sofi HYSA and still earn the 4.0 APY?

      As long as everything is insured, personally, I wouldn't open multiple accounts, but it comes down to your situation. If you feel more comfortable "diversifying" your savings in different banks, sure, why not. By all means, do what is best for you. :0 What are your savings goals this upcoming year?

Worst experience ever and the customer support are horrible. They just said I have to wait for them to contatct me by mail asking for more information. I saw a lot of bad reviews of people who get account frozen out of nowhere I am getting really frustated! Any advices how to proceed?

    I've been a WF customer for at least 10 years. Never cared for their robo service, but I've had a cash account since they became available. But now for me, The risk to reward factor at WF has gotten to high. Why risk to get 4.5% when I can get 4.45% at Schwab in a money market fund (it's just as accessible & SPIC) , or 5.5% in a MYGA or CD if I want to tied it up for 3 months to multiple years.

And second, it was stated that it doesn’t work with partner banks and they do; Wells Fargo being one of them. I have an account with them and I can confirm. As a costumer of Wealthfront and a user of many other banks. I have only positive feedback. They have lowered their APY, but they still have one of the highest out there. Their system is easy to work with and transferring money is also very easy.

      @@norbertodiaz5346 wealthfront isnt insured by the FDIC. what this means is if wealthfront fails, your money is still dispersed within its partner banks. Its partner banks are FDIC insured, meaning if one of their partner banks failed that happened to have your money in a Wealthfront account with them, your money is safe.

    I saw that they lowered their APY again, it's made me want to take all my money out of it back to my bank, though I would like to put it somewhere to have it grow

      Same here,I noticed it few minutes ago and thats exactly how I feel,it went from 5% when I joined then dropped to 4.5% and now it’s 4.25% so at this point Wealthfront doesn’t seems interesting anymore,theres no Zelle either and its not a Bank so its more risk than reward

      @@redscorpion9325 The same goes for alot of these accounts very few of them offer Zelle anyway. but either way the rates are slowly dropping all the way across the board... so whomever you switch too if not effective today then next month but it will happen... the few HYSA accts that have zelle are,, Everbank,,, Etrade by Morgan Stanlet,, Ally,, Sofi...,, Schwab offers Zelle too but no HYSA unless you go Market Fund

    "No, Marcus by Goldman Sachs does not charge fees for sending or receiving wire transfers. However, the external bank you are sending the money to may charge a fee" Does marcus account charge to have money exit it? I found the above info on the google machine, by way of goldman sachs website. I saw in your video, which is quite nice, it was said that money leaving the account will be subject to a fee. Is that true in your experience? Thanks

    • @alexisidro
      @alexisidro หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve never taken money out of my savings at an ATM. So never experienced it. But that’s pretty common. Sometimes the bank itself won’t charge you a fee, but the third party bank that is giving you the money on behalf of your bank WILL charge you a fee. That’s how they make their money. In some cases as well, your bank may reimburse you the fee that third party bank will charge you.

    Not a bad bank. But, here is what I noticed. UFB was not paying the expected amount of interest to my HYSA, based on my calculations. What they paid was still good, don't get me wrong. I have a HYSA with a different bank, with the exact same balance and same interest rate as my account with UFB. The other bank paid more in interest. There are a few articles online that you can research about similar issues.
