@ The issue at stake here was; is Wealthfront safe? It was mentioned in this video that was not insured by the FDC and it is. And second, it was stated that it doesn’t work with partner banks and they do; Wells Fargo being one of them. I have an account with them and I can confirm. As a costumer of Wealthfront and a user of many other banks. I have only positive feedback. They have lowered their APY, but they still have one of the highest out there. Their system is easy to work with and transferring money is also very easy.

@@norbertodiaz5346 wealthfront isnt insured by the FDIC. what this means is if wealthfront fails, your money is still dispersed within its partner banks. Its partner banks are FDIC insured, meaning if one of their partner banks failed that happened to have your money in a Wealthfront account with them, your money is safe.
I thought that you only have to file for taxes if you make more than $12,950, I am currently a student without a job. I plan to put 10k in a HYSA still, would I still have to pay for taxes?
I saw that they lowered their APY again, it's made me want to take all my money out of it back to my bank, though I would like to put it somewhere to have it grow
Same here,I noticed it few minutes ago and thats exactly how I feel,it went from 5% when I joined then dropped to 4.5% and now it’s 4.25% so at this point Wealthfront doesn’t seems interesting anymore, theres no Zelle either and its not a Bank so its more risk than reward
@@redscorpion9325 The same goes for alot of these accounts very few of them offer Zelle anyway. but either way the rates are slowly dropping all the way across the board... so whomever you switch too if not effective today then next month but it will happen... the few HYSA accts that have zelle are,, Everbank,,, Etrade by Morgan Stanlet,, Ally,, Sofi...,, Schwab offers Zelle too but no HYSA unless you go Market Fund
Hello everyone! What is your reaction to Wealthfront? If you are a customer, what do you like about them and where do you think they can improve? I'd love to know your take. Let me know your thoughts in the comments, have a great day!
WF is great,, For Banking as well as for investing and yes they do offer Mobile Check Deposit... and same day RTP Network transfer as long as your Bank is on there list. Also ,,,, I use Lending Club Bank ,, as well as Etrade by Morgan Stanley,,, I use Etrade more,,, Free Checks, ,, Unlimited ATM reimbursements,, same day fee credit back into your account,, dont have to wait until the end of the month.. they offer a premium savings account also,, 4.25%,,, Mobile Wallet,, High Echeck Limit,, 250K.. High Debit card limits if needed,, permanant or temp... The etrade side doesnt offer Zelle yet,, but there premium side of Morgan Stanley does,, as well as Cashiers Checks, and overnight free debit card and replacement... so def a great benefit... So I kinda pushed WF behind a bit,,, but great for 8Mil coverage if I ever had it..

Welthfront is insured by the FDIC and has multiple partner banks like: Morgan, Citi Bank and Wells Fargo.
Wealthfront is not. The partner banks are.

When it comes to earned interest, you have to file it if it’s above $10. The bank or financial organization will give you a 1099-INT form.
@@alexisidro Thanks for the help. Where can I get the 1099 form? I was using credit karma before I switched to wealthfront
They’ll send it to you or make it available in the new year

@@CYBER_FunkER evey bank is lowering their APY. Wealthfront still one of the highest out there.
I don’t think Wealthfront has a middle man. I could be wrong, but they seem to partner directly with their partnered banks.
I guess one of the banks, GreenDot, is the middle man but mostly what you say is true.
@@phototristan GreenDot is a partner bank?

They need to add Zelle but the low interest rates makes Wealth front unappealing because thats 1 thing they had going for them when it was at 5%
