Just found this channel and watched several of your HYSA videos. I'm going to go with Marcus. I was considering several options but ultimately I wanted something trustworthy and relatively simple. Good stuff!
@@alexisidro for the longest time I was leaving a larger than necessary sum of money in my savings account just to lose value thanks to inflation. My girlfriend opened up an HYSA a year and a half ago and has been telling me to do it ever since. I finally did. Thanks for the thorough, down to earth videos!
I appreciate this review. Marcus was reccomended to me when I spoke to the finanical advisor offered through my work. Planning on using it as a simple savings account for a primary savings.
I just opened an account with Marcus , and there is no same day transfer . It takes days to get to there account and also to take out of there account as well . A little disappointed with the false advertisement
It's always taken a few hours for me. Remember it depends on many parameters such as holidays, weekends, amounts of money being transferred, and even status of your account. I would call customer service to see what they say and so they can provide an explanation for you. Let me know how it goes.
Will I be able to transfer my money out my Marcus savings account if my funds from my transfer into my Marcus account became available on the 29th can I transfer out on the same day in have my funds in my external bank account by the 31st? The amount is 18k
Marcus shares on their website same-day transfer for transfers of $100K or less. With respect to taking in and out, it may flag the system, not sure, honestly. Call customer service to double check with them.
Capital One or Discover. I'm suffering paralysis by analysis. My lady has Discover. I was going to go with American Express but you can't add someone to the account once it's opened.
I just opened an account with Marcus then dug a little deeper and learned that they are currently under investigation by the Feds for "harmful behavior" with customers. The number of people experiencing frozen account is alarming. Why aren't you talking about this?
You were right, they came up with weird reason of can not send out 1 time code to the phone and close the CD acct., frozen the money and asking for affidavit paper work to verify yourself....

Right.
@@alexisidro 1 more questions do Marcus let you initiate outgoing transfers to linked bank account late night hours around like 12am - 3am?
Transfers should take place anytime online. It would just be part of the next business day start.
Thanks for your content.
