YCMCC Manywells Clubmans CT5 3rd Nov 2024
The last Yorkshire Classic Clubman trial of 2024.
Held at the mixed venue at Manywells near Cullingworth.
The light cloud stayed with us with the light wind making for a good day by November standards.
Nick Jefferies (Bantam) took top spot on 2 marks with Ian Brogden (Ariel) 2nd on 4marks, 1 mark ahead of Katie Ward (Ariel). The only other rider to remain in single figures was Steve Thomas (Bantam) on 9.
Keith Normington on his Bantam powered Cotton topped the Gentle route losing only 5.
Thanks to all involved in putting on the event.
Shame that it clashed with several other events in our usual catchment area.

A nice steady Clubman's trial set out by Colin Pawson, Gary Marshal and Josh Wilkinson. Judging by the smiles at the finish, the majority enjoyed their splash in Ickornshaw Beck at Cowling.

A short video to give you a flavour of how popular the Yorkshire Classic show has become. Thanks to everyone that attended. 106 bikes entered the show and arround 3 times that number of bikes turned up to view them. Over £2600 pounds profit was made and will go to our 3 charities, The Yorkshire Air Ambulance, The Manorlands Hospice and the Cellar Trust.

The first of the Yorkshire Classic MCC Clubman Trials (CT1) that have replaced the Club's Pre-Unit trials. In truth the only thing that has changed is the number of machine classes. The overnight rain had stopped by the time the trial started and the sun helped warm the spectators, riders and observers on this muddy cow trodden venue. Round 7 of the YCMCC Pre-Unit series of 9. Beautiful sunny day in the Pennines but a little cool on the tops. 4 laps of 10 sections was ridden by 10 Pre- Unit or big twin pre-65s with 3 on the gentle route, 2 vintage 2 strokes with the remainder in the NC non championship class. The fourth round of the Yorkshire Classic Club Championship was held near Silsden in Lampkin country where Rob Lowther and Colin Lawrence set 10 harder than usual sections on the slippery rocks in Holden Beck. A still and warm trials riding day greeted the 43 riders and water in the beck was lower than usual. The 10 sections set by Graham Wilkinson, Colin and Tim Pawson were varied with a few new ones adding to the variety. After the wettest March for years, it was inevitable that the ground at Top Quarry was going to be very challenging. In a growing trend, it was great to see over half the entry on 'Big Bikes'.
