I am new to this and I have been trying a ton of different cookie recipes, mainly chocolate chip. I prefer thick cookies with a very very thin crisp on the outside. So many bakers say different things when it comes to creaming the butter and sugars. Some say if you cream it too much then your cookies will come out flat but I have also heard the opposite. I have also heard to cream it until it starts to change color a little bit but absolutely no more than that. My current favorite recipe is has AP and cake flour, baking soda and cornstarch, two whole eggs and three yolks, and browned butter.

My browned butter cookies came out flat even if I already chilled them. So I put more flour to the dough. (FYI, these are big batches for my 1st ever orders😞) I already added 2tbls of flour,, and also 4tsp but still it's not coming the way I wanted it it still spreads... i don't know what to do anymore😭
