I’ve been very fortunate to have had a couple of Mr Biggy B’s 🍌impys and OMG ! I’m a fan cheers 👍🍻
Great review Pat, I know he sure puts his heart and soul into his impys. You can see the legs on the glass from here lol, Cheers mate enjoy.
I always consider a yeast cake to be a giant starter and seems to work best for really high abv beers. No chance of it stalling like I've had with this type ofnbeer before. It is super sweet though. I was worried that it might be too much on early tastings but it seems to have aged really well. Still don't believe it is actually 13%
Looks and sounds like a delicious and well made stout. Cheers 🍻
🍻nice brew there! Smooth sailing!
Great work Pat, looking forward to your brewing in 2025 🍺
Looks great to me 👍
Good Job Pat, Looks smashing.
Nice job Pat freshened it up no end. I really need to get my brew space sorted out. Nice one cheers 👍🍻
My brewery could really use a good clean up!… it’s nice to see someone is getting it done! 🍻
Nice! Getting in done! 🍻smooth sailing!
Have a Nice weekend
Cheers hope you had a good one, 🍻
@@PatsBrewery Yes I have..
I used to love to brew club meetings but ours meet on tuesdays and with work I cant get to them regular, but they are all good people and like minded its good to talk to about stuff without them looking confused. Loved your beers mate esp Yellow Snow. Pmsl How many caps? Future plans sound great. Good luck in the comps mate,
Cheers Mark, 🍻
Do you use the Cohiba ash tray? Are you a cigar smoker?
Yeah I am, I don’t smoke too often but do enjoy a cigar
Nice one Pat, enjoy the beers. Have to say, I cant think of anyone else who uses a cooling coil in the fermenter so you're blazing a trail for me. I painted my floor in summer 2023 and already it looks badly in need of another coat. There may be a better solution out there so if you can find it and let me know I'll be all ears. Happy new year!
Happy New Year mate 🍻
Thanks for the beer mail this year buddy I’ll definitely try and reciprocate next year as planning on getting a bottling gun finally . I love my inkbird thermometer. You can’t have too many gadgets that’s what I say anyway. That is a great looking capper fantastic. I’ve just finished editing my Christmas/new year video out New Year’s Day if all goes to plan. Thank you for another year of great entertainment I appreciate it merry Christmas and a very merry new year cheers 👍🍻🎉
This was a good one Pat
Crisis management at the start, good work 😂
Thanks for the kind words. Really glad you enjoyed it! 🍻
The strongest beer is the Barley Wine only a mere 13%
Very much looking forward to trying your beer. Dean and I were looking to start using purées this year, was going to do some research, but if you have any tips let us know 👍 🍻
I’m looking forward to trying yours tonight, no real tips for puree this is the first time using it myself. Cheers 🍻
Well done Pat👏👏👏
Cheers Dylan 🍻
what a great set up.
Thanks very much, the main limitation is the brewer 🤣 cheers 🍻
Glad I'm not the only one who has a "pretty sure I've got that much hops in stock" issues😂😂 always the same here Pat, all the best with the competition, may I suggest "ekuanot be serious" a nod to an American tennis player👍🍺
I’d like to blame old scales but really I probably have a heavy poor, thanks mate, that’s a pretty good name McEnroe did get a bit better over some of those calls. Cheers 🍻
I'm more a distiller than a brewer, it's all the same up..until the hops, I've tried every conceivable combination of 'P I D'...it just doesn't work for me I prefer the P W M and just stand by and watch stiff...I realize automation is the way to go but Im old school/hands on all the way. I love your vids and look forward to your next one. Cheers from Aussie 🍻🦘👍.
Distilling would be awesome to get into but the rules over here are so complicated. If the hands on approach works no reason to change. Thanks Mate cheers 🍻
You can't go wrong with 'Kegland' anything all their line of products are top quality and affordable. 🍻Cheers from Aussie 👍🦘.
Love the idea of your box’s. I’ve nearly given up on sending out beer mail. Over carbonated when I bottle condition, under carbonated when I bottle from the keg ( I don’t have a beer gun ) been trying the few bottles I get after the keg is full and it’s just not showcasing the beer 😢☹️great to see you ( on the video obviously we’ve not met yet 😜) cheers 👍🍻
My carbonations never quite right in the bottles, bottling seems to be a skill of its own. Yet being the word next time there is a meet up I’ll try my best to get there, cheers 🍻
Those boxes look a great idea Pat, could you wrap the bottles in a plastic bag inside the box? 🍺
Yeah I think will be doing that with the next ones I send out 🍻
Good work on the beer fest. In the event of a tie then the most first chips wins, if still a tie then you get the casting vote. If you're doing a sour for yhe first time then the philly sour yeast is dead easy and wont taint your system. Gives a subtle sourness like a berliner or gose.
Well I love the idea of it. You had to mess and take it apart ,a Man after my own heart 🤣 very entertaining as always cheers buddy 👍🍻
The idea is great I’m hoping with some practice it might be a bit easier to use than I made it look. Cheers mate 🍻
G'Day from Australia! Thanks for the video. Subscribed and I'll be looking forward to watching your other stuff. CHEERS MAAAAAATE!! (Coz that's what we say here in Oz apparently... Come to think of it, we do actually)
Cheers Mate, thanks for subscribing 🍻
Great review! 👍Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it in the future. My fermenters have spigots and I just do my best to minimize oxygen, which on the homebrew level isn't as big a concern as some make it out to be. So for awhile I was just using the auto-siphon to run cleaner through the transfer hose, but now I just soak the hose and have had no issues. Wine is another story altogether, I need an auto-siphon for that. Would love a steel version if it worked well. Cheers mate!🍺
Sling it in the back of the drawer and deny ever buying it mate 😅😂. Great video.
You might be right, I’m wondering it might have worked better if I was syphoning from a full bucket. 🍻
@@PatsBrewery Maybe, but syphoning and beer same as chlorine and sanitisation for me….both have better options.
Black = 1pts, Green = 3pts, White = 5pts OR... Brewers decision 3 glasses and try them blind and your chips will count. Glad it went well for you Pat, looked a great fest. Get a Berliner Weiss brewed up mate. Cheers mate.
That’s great just rescored based on that and it’s MAC 28, Stout 25, and Yellow 26. I do like a Berliner Weiss Cheers 🍻
Patoberfest is already a national treasure for me , great lineup, great effort put in fantastic cheers 👍🍻
National treasure is a bit much 🤣 but it is definitely a highlight of my year a lot of work that hopefully results in a great day. Cheers 🍻
they are 6 very good looking brews, good luck on the day.....
Thanks, just hope the weather holds out. Cheers 🍻
Cant wait for the Fest video mate, You put some real good work into brewing them, they all look stunning. Hope its a great success Cheers
I hope so too, fingers crossed 🤞 cheers 🍻
I know how much work goes into a double brew on a grain father , So the work you've done that was amazing Pat. Loved the brew day footage, shame about the inkbird/pump at the end, hope it gets sorted. Very interesting results on the taste tests. Could you blend all 3 into a pint glass. Cheers
Thanks Mark, that’s a great idea with the blend in glass, worth a video I think. Cheers 🍻
That is some brewery setup you've got there. All very technical looking and above my levels of comprehension for sure. A lil quiet in the bar, not too bad just turned the volume up. Interesting project there, a lot of beer to drink... how will you ever cope 😮
It’s not as technical as you’d think I just make it look hard. I’ve worked out how to change the volume in the edit so hopefully future vids will be clearer. It’s a hard life but someone has to do it 🤣 cheers 🍻
Blooming heck that was an epic brew day I’d have definitely not managed multi tasking like you did. I do wish I had a bigger capacity to brew a double batch in one brew but funds don’t allow at the moment 😔I’d love to have seen a combination beer but get time is a problem I’m the same on one brew day, kegging, proper epic vid I appreciate you taking time to get the footage. Beers look great cheers 👍🍻
Thanks Rick, the bigger capacity can be both a blessing and a curse. Marks suggested a mixing the three in the glass which I’ll give a go and see how it is. Cheers 🍻
Great video, just a bit more volume in the bar bit would be perfect :)
I had one of those NEIPA’s just looked back on the video and it was super vibrant and juicy in colour. The julius was always going to age well looking lovely. It is tricky to keep up with content but your doing a great job always look forward to your videos coming out 👍 I’ve just brewed a fantastic coconut clipper stout for Christmas but that’s not going to last until December ( I’ll have to rethink that 🤪) cheers 👍🍻
Thanks Rick, I think I just need to do some better planning so the videos don’t seem rushed. That’s the problem with brewing a cracking beer and trying to age it they never last. Cheers mate 🍻
They said, dont eat yellow snow.
Sound is a bit quiet, but looks a cracking beer. Presume you're not running Nitro? Someone told me to buy the nuka tap nitro stout tap even if you don't run nitro and you'll get a good approximation... I'm getting more and more into stouts these days as you can tell by the waistline lol. Anyway. Good video, great looking beer! Health to drink Sliánte Mhath!
Yeah I need to sort my sound out, I have a mic but it picks up everything, got to find a balance. Yeah just running CO2, I guess the tap acts as a bit of a sparkler, might be worth a look. I love a stout but find that I only want to drink them when other people are also drinking them. Cheers mate 🍻
Stout looked lovely nice one cheers 👍🍻
Thanks Rick, I’m hoping it will get better with a little time. 🍻
I really enjoyed the brew footage, the beer looked lovely another great vid buddy cheers 👍🍻
Thanks Rick, I think I need that find the balance between no brew footage and to much, glad you enjoyed it 🍻
One suggestion, lager = bright and clear
Haze nice
Great G2G Pat, Brilliant tour of the brewery too. Shame about your numbers but you got another stunner on your hands for your festival. I hope it gets a lot of chips. Cheers \_/
Thanks, hopefully people will like it cheers 🍻
I was lucky enough to try this at home and thought it was lovely mate, I remember an old timer telling me if putting a stout in a bottle you dont need to add any sugar/dme as they do keep going on their own. I've never tried it but maybe I will now. Your first on my list for beer mail mate. Thanks again Pat for all your vids. PS a double double batch brewday OMG ! Cheers Again \_/
Thanks Mark, cheers 🍻
